- Copyright violations has been "interesting" (many copy/paste, weird citations...), many warnings were given on the ground either through local professors/wikimedia staff
- Had some cultural issues and combined with lack of enough ground support / Online Ambassadors, issues have had problems
- Cleanup is occurring right now
- As of right now India program, is mothballed, with no new edits will occur. Chances are program will restart in June at the earliest.
- Userfying vs creating new articles - recommendation?
- No longer as large of an issue - will revisit as need be.
- Meeting closes, tentatively scheduling next meeting for Early/Mid December
- Canada Update
- It's official, adopting the Canadian Program on the backend, currently the Great Lakes Region is covering the Ontario Classes
- In the future will have distinct regions that may overlap - will happen on a case by case basis.
- Roles & Responsibilities of the Steering Committee
- Those who haven't need to send Cindy an email, with thoughts
- Cindy and Jami will coordinate and stay in touch, since both wanted to collect information about what each Steering Committee sees as the role of the Committee
- Cindy would like the information for the revamp on pages
- Management of Online Ambassador program needs to be looked into
- Wikimedia would like the Steering Committee, to handle the more day to day management
- Currently unsure of who is an (active) OA
- Does the MOU need to be reviewed
- Currently feels very "contracty", may need to be more friendly
- Can it be shortened to a nutshell into a brief format with attachments/links
- Also need to add to Campus Ambassador training that enabling email support is a great thing
