Washington Township, Nodaway County, Missouri

Washington Township is a township in southeastern Nodaway County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It contains about 47 sections.[2] Guilford, its only community, lies west of center one mile east of the Platte River.

Washington Township was first organized in 1845[2] and was named after President George Washington.[3] The township was reduced in size in 1866 and again in 1871 to form Jefferson Township and Grant Township.[2]
