Hughes Township, Nodaway County, Missouri

Hughes Township is a township in southwestern Nodaway County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It comprises about 62 sections of land.[2] Graham is its lone town which lies about two miles east of the Nodaway River.
Hughes Township was established in 1845, and named after General Andrew S. Hughes, a pioneer citizen.[3] The township's area was reduced in 1866 when Monroe Township was formed.[2]
