Hi! Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosing affiliations that you have with the subjects you write about. Are you in any way affiliated with or receiving benefits from Eric Vanderburg, JurInnov, related companies/persons or other subjects you have edited about on Wikipedia? -- intgr [talk] 20:42, 3 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for notifying me: I have placed a notice on my talk page and on Vanderburg's page regarding my paid edits. Zuckerden (talk) 18:48, 5 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for being so forthcoming! If you haven't already, then please read the WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide (and more details at WP:Conflict of interest). While paid editing is not forbidden on Wikipedia — as long as you disclose the fact and comply with the policies — it is certainly controversial.
By all means, I think you should continue; I would much rather have you doing the paid edits than the various shady "cloak and dagger" paid editors who deny everything and use every opportunity to evade detection (like the previous COI editor on Eric Vanderburg's page).
I haven't looked into your edits in detail, but I especially urge you to make sure you remain neutral and balanced in your edits and refuse the temptation to use sources that are self-published by the subject or affiliates. If you undertake an article, please cover both the positives and the negatives. Doing otherwise is irresponsible, as biased articles damage the reputation of Wikipedia, and they drain one of our most precious resource — the time of unpaid volunteers who are often left with the thankless task of bringing articles back into balance (and often don't get to it until years later). -- intgr [talk] 10:15, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for being very friendly about it, and I will certainly take your comments on board! I am aware that Wikipedia has been reeling from a number of paid edit controversies, and appreciate the friendly advice you've given to me.
And for full disclosure for all Wikipedians reading this: although I have been paid to do my edits on that page, I have no knowledge of this previous editor on Eric's page, have had no prior knowledge of him beforehand, nor did Eric dictate to me what to include or exclude from his article. He himself has acknowledged the page is, in his words, "a mess" because of the controversy surrounding COI editing. Zuckerden (talk) 20:00, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mike Dieterich until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

The article Crypto Cipher has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A considerable way from meeting the notability requirement of WP:CORP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/HelgaStick, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
