Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 10:16, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Coudl you finish this off for me?
Hey man, I started on a simple vectorization on File:Kvogur.jpg.

What I started
Could you do the figure the the bottom? I am not so good with curves. Connormah (talk) 00:20, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Done I also fixed the white line that appears in thumbs by performing union. In addition, I tweaked a couple notes to correctly align it as in the raster. Is the svg okay? ZooFari 01:07, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Speedy-AfD
I think it is possible to Speedy during an AfD. I've seen copyright infringements deleted before AfD ran its course (for pictures too). Is there a guideline stating otherwise? Hekerui (talk) 09:43, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it specifically says it in the AfD tag. Unless the article is an attack page or copyvio, then the article should remain for further consensus. Even so, the article didn't qualify for your criteria, and it still needed consensus either way. ZooFari 20:01, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- It's just that I've been told the opposite by another established editor. Hekerui (talk) 20:12, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well that's according to the guidelines. Not so sure if the user you are talking about is experienced or not, but I guess maybe it was a copyvio, attack, or spam article? ZooFari 20:16, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Featured pictures
Hoi, I am talking to three archives, two museums one archive that have a collection that is of a global importance. For them it is important to be recognised as having important work and to be part of the movement that brings content to the people. They are as a rule not willing to provide us with their high resolution scans but given the combination of high quality restorations AND the featured picture program they are willing to reconsider.. First for a subset of their collection and the future will tell where this will end.
This values picture program has no material benefits. It makes a ghetto of all the other material that is not digital photography by some enthusiaststs. The current climate is such that it is likely to interfere with our mission. I wonder if you realise this.. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 16:33, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- Whilst I disagree, would you mind posting this in the main proposal page, if not already? Thanks, ZooFari 20:45, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

ACC
According to current guidelines both requests 31044 and 31045 could have been created although they require a flagged user to create them. This is why they were denoted as such. It appears you do not have a firm grasp on the Guidelines for ACC. Please petition another Tool admin for reinstatement. Q T C 06:22, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- According to the guideline, the account can be created if the similar account is over a year old with inactivity. Not that it matters much anymore, I don't remember the account names. If it was as asserted, don't see why the similar button is there. Anyways, back to the old ways... ZooFari 06:34, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Revisionist History
Sorry, even if you think it's negative, Tedisco still lost, and you can't change that by telling people not to be so negative. Rain City Blues (talk) 09:20, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
- There are still proper ways of describing such things. For example, you don't say that "he killed the president". You obviously say "he assassinated the president". Instead of saying "loser" you can say that he was defeated. A change in winner may also be better, as winner seems conceded. However, the negatives are what count. By the way, you are on the path to being reported for 3RR if you continue your revert war. ZooFari 16:34, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think you get to pick and choose like that. If a truly neutral point of view is desired, the same standards for negatives should apply to positives-they both count. If winner is an acceptable term, so is loser. Further, Conceded means gave up. I think you meant to say concieted, which means arrogant-although there is some irony in your usage of it.
- Rain City Blues, please do not edit my archives, copy them to my main talk page, or any other mess, as noted on the template at the top. I had a hard time finding your post and restoring it. Anyways, here is my reply: No, I meant conceded. Yes, the "winner" conceded the "loser". It is not an option of desire, and I would say "winner" is also inappropriate. Perhaps you should read WP:Tone. ZooFari 17:13, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- That article talks about using a formal tone, not on putting a positive spin on things. Rain City Blues (talk) 22:53, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not saying that you can only use positives. I complained about your usage in negatives (and the redundancy). If you insist we should put attack-looking phrases on the article, then you can discuss at the talk page. You can complain to me, Wadester16, Rillian, or anyone you assert to be "Revisionist history", but you will just receive more complains than good. ZooFari 03:46, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- That article talks about using a formal tone, not on putting a positive spin on things. Rain City Blues (talk) 22:53, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Rain City Blues, your edits were not productive. It is not professional to use the term "loser" for one that did not win an election. This has nothing to do with politics. What you are spouting is all politics. wadester16 04:33, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Maybe?
I know this is could be extremely difficult/impossible, but I figured I'd try. I've been trying to find the city seal of Troy, New York (as opposed to the marketing logo, which is extremely easy to find). I've never found it online, but I was able to snap a photo of it. What are the chances that a photograph of a seal can lead to an SVG of a seal? If not, by all means feel free to say no or impossible. wadester16 16:52, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Of coarse. Did you know most graphics start off by a drawing, then scanned, and then vectoring? That's how I do my "characters". If you want me to vectorize it, not sure if I can do it, as I never vectored a seal, but if you want I'll give it a try :-) ZooFari 16:59, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Doesn't need to be a vector. Just work whatever magic you can dream of and I'll appreciate whatever you come up with. (First off, a circular crop and lowering of the blue levels are a must :-D) wadester16 17:03, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Done. I left the background blank (as I assumed that's what you meant by "lowering the blue levels"). The graphic is not fully accurate, as it would require fundamental work, but it is close to perfect. The dotted border inset is probably not as accurate as wanted, but the difference isn't huge. So, how do you like it? ZooFari 22:13, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

SVG Edit
Can you edit this to make the colors more... obviously different? Can dark blue really be dark blue, etc.? hehe. Then can you list me the colors (i.e. #ffffff or whatever). Thank you much! wadester16 03:11, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Would you like to keep the 3D style? And yeah, hehe. ZooFari 03:13, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yea, I think the original editor did a nice job with the 3D. wadester16 03:13, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Are you going to use color blocks or names of the colors in the article? Because the only required change is the dark blue (and red) if the color blocks are used. Other than that, the colors won't be obvious when using the color blocks. ZooFari 03:22, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- You read my mind: I'm using colorboxes. I'd say the yellows need some work too. It should be obvious without the key. wadester16 03:25, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

No problem. I'm glad to see more people are interested in portals and Wikispecies. If you want to get your feet wet in Wikispecies, feel free to join our community and I'll give you some guidance. Re:pano software
Yeah the canon software is pretty useless when it comes to stitching. If you are working with a few images, Autostitch is a good option. It is free and automatically creates 2 dimensions panos. For many images though, it usually crashes (mine first crashed at 55 images). [www.autopano.net Autopano] is the final, completed version of autostitch. It detects panoramas automatically from a folder of images and has other inbuilt functions but it costs a lot. I use PTgui which has more manual control and options. I suggest you give them all a go and choose what suits you. --Muhammad(talk) 21:55, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you much. I'll give em a shot :-) ZooFari 22:17, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hugin is an open source PTGui clone if you are feeling cheap. It isn't quite as good though. Pretty sure Muhammad uses CombineZP as I do, (or the earlier version, combineZM). Noodle snacks (talk) 06:54, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- Combine ZM is pretty good and usually gives perfect results when used with images taken using a tripod. I have read some reviews claiming Helicon Focus to be superior but I found it more difficult to use and it yielded poorer results. If you are thinking about focus stack, you may also want to read about Mirror lock up as this is usually important for long exposure shots. --Muhammad(talk) 16:14, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I installed the trial version of Helicon, but I don't like the way you choose files. I'll try Combine ZM. It has been a while since I did macro photography (way long before I joined Wikipedia) but my lens weren't good anymore. Luckily I obtained new ones... ZooFari 19:52, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Great image of mating bettas, thanks for adding it to the article. The article receives so many trash edits, I'm glad to see one that actually adds value! FYI, the main image of the red and blue veiltail used to be my fish (he is dead now, moment of silence...), many of the images that were on the page when I found it were horrible, so I made some new ones. Hello! I have a problem!
Hello, ZooFari, I hope you remember me! I am your adoptee, G.phanisrinivas. See this, User_talk:G.phanisrinivas/Archive_2#Adopt_Re: if you can't remember me. I had actually forgotten that I am an adoptee of some person! After a very long time, I am writing to you. I have practiced creating templates from past one month and I have become quite good in it! I have also practiced Parser Functions and how to use them in templates.
I have created two templates which use a lot of parsers in them:
Please read their documentations, test them in sandboxes and tell me if I am correct with them. I find them working alright. Suggest any corrections and changes.
I am undergoing an username change and I will soon be known as Srinivas, and not G.phanisrinivas!

Talkback Notification Gadget
I have created a new gadget to notify users with the {{tb}} template at my user talk page: User talk:G.phanisrinivas. It automatically adds the section name and {{tb}} along with my username. Isn't it nice? --Srinivas G Phani 05:30, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

- I didn't understand what you meant by that! Can you explain it more clearly? --Srinivas G Phani 05:45, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
- Sure. If you want to send a tb to a user, you use your gadget (since it sends the tb message to the user you type in). But I was thinking of something like this (I'll use myself as an example): I reply here, but don't have Friendly enabled, so I want to notify you. Since I don't have friendly enabled, I can't send you a tb. How 'bout making a gadget that when I type my username, it will post the tb post on your talk page. Sorry if I'm not explaining so well. ZooFari 05:51, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Think you can vectorize this? Prefer the blue to be black (that's the normal way they use the logo). Also, if you're interested (*wink wink* - but no pressure). Thanks! wadester16 05:42, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll vectorize it right now. ZooFari 05:45, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Wow fast! Thanks! wadester16 05:47, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Done. and delete the duplicate file in the file links (I made a mistake in the title). Let me know if you need any modifications... ZooFari 05:57, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Wanna read over this and see if you might be able to make the small updates? You're probably quicker. wadester16 20:03, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Frequent Power-cuts
Sorry to annoy you yesterday at the IRC channel but there was an unexpected power cut in Mumbai due to thunderstorms and lightnings. I am taking a semi-wikibreak from Monday onwards due to school. I may also take a complete wikibreak very soon due to examinations. If any suggestions about the template, please change the template and notify it to me. If you would like to move it to the template namespace, you can, but notify it to me after you do. --Srinivas 03:42, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- Will do, and good luck! ZooFari 03:43, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- ZooFari! You haven't notified to me using
{{tb}}
that I have a new message here. Don't forget to notify users that they have new message here! It is so easy and shortcut method with Friendly and you don't do that also! --Srinivas 08:17, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

- And you have developed a very nice userpage but the background grey color is not nice. --Srinivas 13:53, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'm still working on it. I've been lazy to choose the lightest color for background and still need to change the gold font in my regular page. ZooFari 14:01, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey this seems to have gone stale. Are you able to open it yet? There are a couple minor fixes that need to be made per Daniel Case. wadester16 16:30, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- I've now fixed the file problem. Apparently my Inkscape was set for only .svgz files instead of .svg. I'll see what I can do, but right now I'm doing major cleanup to it (there are many objects sticking out of the document that aren't shown in the file page, so I'm cutting those out). ZooFari 17:16, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
I'm assuming you haven't noticed- there's a typo in the banner. J Milburn (talk) 18:21, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice, I'll fix it soon... ZooFari 18:28, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
