Sorry if this isn't the place for this
OK, firstly, I'm sorry if this isn't where I'm supposed to write this, I have very little experience with wikis, feel free to move, edit or delete it. To the point then. Why is it exactly, that you threatened me with blocking me for vandalism for this edit:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisexualism?diff=280963603, when I believe it is obvious it was meant as constructive and helpful. The page is only a full screen long. It doesn't need a table of contents, the TOC only hinders it. I think it would be much more helpful if you explained what was wrong, instead of just throwing around threats without any explanation whatsoever. I've been reading about some policies on wikipedia. Don't bite the newcomers, for example? 82.149.1.199 (talk) 00:47, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if I threatened you, so I will explain why your edits were reverted. First, I didn't roll you back as a vandal, but just as an edit test. Articles should always contain their table of contents even if it is short. The only conception when there isn't one is when there are too few sub headings, which is automatically hidden. Welcoming
Hi there.
I see you've been welcoming lots of new users, which is great. However, please don't create a welcome template for users with no contributions. Lots of accounts are created but never used; making a user talk page for each clutters up the Wiki. I'm not just saying this as my opinion - it's mentioned in policy somewhere, though I can't remember where right now.
What I do is, I use special:log newusers, as it shows the links - so you can see if the contribs link isn't a redlink, and the talk page is.
Anyway - keep up the good work welcoming the newcomers. Cheers, Chzz ► 22:42, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- You know, I was just thinking about that after finishing up some recent ones. I was thinking to myself that I might be welcoming inactive users, which is a total waste of time. Like you mentioned, I also was thinking about welcoming those with contributions only. So thanks for the clarification! I'll go ahead and welcome those with contribs ZooFari 22:47, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- Cool :-) Chzz ► 22:48, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Zacharias Tanee Fomum
Thank you for your warm welcome. I join mainly to undelete an article on "Zacharias Tanee Fomum" that has been deleted for "Non Notable Minister" I could not undelete the article. I wanted to recreate the article to pay tribute to Dr. Zacharias Fomum. He is a very well known Christian leader and Scientist in Cameroon. He has published over 100 articles in learned international journals of Chemistry and to supervise over 90 master’s and doctorate theses. He has written more than 100 books on prayer, fasting and Christian living. Would you help me start an article about Dr. Zacharias Fomum —Preceding unsigned comment added by Delta24 (talk • contribs) 01:50, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- It looks like it was deleted because it is not a notable person. ZooFari 02:16, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, he seems notable. I will help you create the article and make sure it doesn't get deleted. Cheers, ZooFari 22:37, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Zacharias Fomum
I see that you create the main entry for Zacharias Fomum. I have the information in a word.doc. How do I enter them. As for the "Non Notable" I disagree. He is well known evangelical leader in Cameroon and abroad. He is a professor of Chemistry and a researcher for more than 30 years in Cameroon.Delta24 (talk) 02:28, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- Go ahead and paste it in there and we will go from there. ZooFari 02:30, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
ZACHARIAS TANEE FOMUM (June 20th 1945- March 14th 2009) is an African Minister and Scientist. He is a prolific teacher and writer. He has written over 100 scientific publications in international journals and over 100 books on Christian discipleship, growth, and maturity, with special emphasis on prayer and fasting, which he believes to be the most vital needs, tools and weapons of the church today.
Academically, Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum obtained a first class Bachelor of Science degree, graduating as the Fourah Bay College’s prize winning student in 1969. In 1973, he obtained the PhD in Organic Chemistry. Thirty years of post doctoral research have enabled him to publish over 100 articles in learned international journals of Chemistry and to supervise over 90 master’s and doctorate theses. His research work was recently examined by the University of Durham, Great Britain and found to be of very high distinction for which he has recently earned the D.Sc (Doctor of Science), the first Cameroonian to earn such a degree. He is a full professor of Organic Chemistry in the University of Yaounde 1, Cameroon.
Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum is minister of the Word and a scientist. Born in 1945 in Cameroon, Africa, he received his early education there. He was born again in 1956 as he read a tract: ”Someone died for You” Pr. Fomum consecrated his life to Jesus Christ in 1966, after Christ revealed Himself as Lord to the young student in his university room. He is the founder and director of Christian missionary fellowship international (CMFI). Pr. Fomum combines the teaching of organic chemistry at the University of Yaounde Cameroon West Africa, with the spiritual ministry of teaching the word in many countries. He is a prolific teacher and writer. He has written over 100 scientific publications in international journals and over 100 books on Christian discipleship, growth, and maturity, with special emphasis on prayer and fasting, which he believes to be the most vital needs, tools and weapons of the church today. Some of his books have been translated into other languages including French, Thamil, Telegu and Hindi. He searches out facts and presents them in a teachable format. Pr. Fomum practices what he teaches as do churches associated with Christian Missionary Fellowship International.
He considers prayer the most important work on earth and has preached the gospel in over 50 countries in Africa, South America, Asia, Europe and USA, as well as started a national movement of prayer and fasting in his own country. Pr. Fomum is the leader of a missionary movement (Christian Missionary Fellowship International) with missionaries and churches in 50 nations on 6 continents.
He and his wife, Prisca, have six children, all of whom have received the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior

I'd like to thank you for your help. His Bio information is mainly from his Ministry's website- All the other websites I referenced copy from his ministry's website. If I provide the link, is this still copyright violation? Do you think I can request permission from his website or what else can I do?Delta24 (talk) 02:54, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

- Very good. Now it is time to add appropriate tags to get others to participate. I have marked the article stup using {{stub}}. You may place tags too. For practice, go ahead and place {{cleanup}} at the top. This indicates that the article needs to meet the quality standards (for example, headings, links, notes, and other things to make the page look professional). In addition, you asked me about the copyright. Unless the page has a free license that allows you to do so, you cannot just place their link. You only place their link on the article to cite and verify that you used that website for information. See Wikipedia:References for more details. ZooFari 22:36, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Thank you, I will add the tags. I greatly appreciate your help. Delta24 (talk) 22:40, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

RfA
Do you mean for Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/ZooFari 2 to be live? It was removed because it was moved from its old page name to the correct one, and now it doesn't appear on the main RfA page. Frank | talk 01:16, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, apparently it should be, since there are votes... ZooFari 01:22, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- "Should" is up to you; it doesn't look good at this point but things sometimes change. I would recommend waiting longer, but it's certainly your decision. Frank | talk 01:24, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'll transclude it next time. I still need a little more work. What do I need to do about the date and tally marks? Thanks, ZooFari 01:30, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- It's been re-transcluded. If you wish to withdraw, edit here or on the page itself and someone will take care of it. You are not required to withdraw; I don't want you to feel pressured to do so. Please read the page and the comments and make your own decision. Frank | talk 01:32, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

If you are withdrawing your RfA (per [1]), you may want to put the notice at the top of the page. It's conventional to strike through where you decided to run in the first place (i.e., the nom), so that people will notice. I'm quite sorry, by the way, that your RfA didn't work out, but I think if you stick around for a while, you'll be an admin before long. As a note of personal advice, I'd recommend working on a GA or something to assuage concerns about a lack of content contribution. Cool3 (talk) 16:14, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

help me
Hello, I got your message... Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes ~~~~; this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}}
I don't know exactly what you mean. Should I be signing my edits? Or, should I be adding some explanation to them? Let me know and thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Sylvester107 (talk) 22:43, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hi there.
- Whenever you edit a talk page, you should 'sign your name'. You do that by typing ~~~~ at the end, or by clicking on the 'sign' button above the edit box.
- That will add your username, and the date/time, to the end.
- For more, see WP:SIGN
- Hope that answers, if not, please use another helpme.
- Best, Chzz ► 22:48, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hello, you are doing the right thing right now. Perhaps you misread the welcome. The message was to clarify. It didn't ment that you weren't doing it. Cheers ZooFari 00:12, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Heads up
Hello there, just a quick heads up on your revert of the article Culture of Italy. You reverted my edit rather than the fellow who seems to have been vandalizing the page, since we changed it at pretty much the same time. Since you're using huggle, I just wanted to let you know that I corrected minor errors that your reversion brought back, so you didn't get the impression I was edit warring or anything like that, since I'm getting pretty close to running afoul of 3RR there. Aenioc (talk) 06:16, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. Revert conflicts aren't uncommon. I assume it is all fixed? Thanks, ZooFari 06:23, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Everything seems to be fine now, I'm glad its not uncommon. Since I am quite new I was unsure, and I certainly didn't want to make it seem as though I was reverting a legitimate revert by you for no reason. Especially since I'd already reverted twice before on the article in the past few minutes. Thank you for your understanding. Aenioc (talk) 06:33, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Thank you...
for your recent request to become an administrator. I see that you withdrew your request, and, under the circumstances, I can understand why. I myself might have had to oppose on the basis of some of the troubling actions I saw mentioned. But I have every reason to believe that, in time, the problems can be overcome, and that you do have the makings of a good administrator. If you were to want to consider going into administrator training at Wikipedia:Admin coaching, I think that might help too. But I have every reason to believe that you do have the makings of a good admin, and I am grateful that you considered the possibility. Believe me, we need all the help we can get. Thanks again. John Carter (talk) 14:35, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Believe it or not, I thought PROD was for AFD! Thanks again, hopefully my next nom will work out better. ZooFari 17:12, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Do you know what are the possible fonts that can be used on Wikipedia? Buɡboy52.4 (talk) 02:39, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Most of the fonts in Apple works or Microsoft works work well on all browsers. If you wish to ask this at the Help desk for more input, you can go here. ZooFari 02:58, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi there, I was just looking through the adopters and noticed that both the Zoo and the Fari of your name redirected separately to your user page and was wondering if this was intentional or you just forgot to make them different :p I Grave Rob§talk♥stalk§ 06:02, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- They are both supposed to redirect to my user page :) The thing is that when I first made my signature, "Fari" was originally linked to my talk page. However, I changed them so both would redirect to my user page. I haven't changed my signature then, and wanted to keep the same signature as a memory. That's why I haven't combine both links. Sometimes I do change the color temporarily, but only on holiday seasons. Anyways, I like your signature ;) ZooFari 22:49, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- By the way, <font size="3"> in sigs is discouraged, so you may wish to change that. I don't see at as big deal with your sig, since it's otherwise not particularly distracting, but it's something to consider. -kotra (talk) 22:33, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

that help desk template
hello ZooFari - in case you're keeping track of reactions to the "hello there have been replies at the help desk" message, please mark me down as finding it more annoying than helpful. i appreciate your good will in creating and using it, and i'm sure new/lost users will find it helpful to receive it, but if you have a "no go zone" i'd love to be added to it so i don't receive it again. thanks! Sssoul (talk) 09:48, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feed back. I'm considering using the notification for new users only. Of course, we experienced editors simply use the watchlist, but newcomers may not be aware of this function. It shouldn't be that hard, as the new users' user/talk pages would be red (not created yet). Again thanks, ZooFari 00:07, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- sending it only to new users and/or those whose messages indicate that they're "lost" sounds like a much more appropriate use of it - thanks! Sssoul (talk) 05:11, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

- PROD means Proposed deletion. It doesn't meet the speedy deletion criteria, but is used for articles that should be removed soon. For example, an article of a word explaining the definition should not be in Wikipedia, but in Wictionary instead. Other examples include articles that are written about unnecessary things such as "My new invention". I will be semi active tonight, so I will be checking your edits. Response to your review
Greetings. About you review on my request for joining the hall of fame, you said something about an overlap of the animated image, well I don´t see any, the image is intented to 'touch' the last -a- of the message: "From wikipedia, the free encyclopedia", however, maybe (in a different point of view, yours in this case) it does not look suitable if it is so near to the -a- in the title. Or perhaps, there could be a difference in the display that I watch and the one that you watch (screen size, preferences settings, etc...); so I wish you to tell me if you are witnessing a full or partial overlap in a letter or bounch of letters (what is not intented to be) -- Damërung ...ÏìíÏ..._ΞΞΞ_ . -- 23:39, 29 April 2009 (UTC-5)
- I also have other 3 versions in the other languages I work with ("in other languages" section), they are just in the second generation.
