Hi Yzx, Thanks so much for the new gastropod article. That is one cool species. I lived in San Diego years ago, and I once found a fragment of a shell of that species washed up on my local beach there. I also saw some surprisingly large shells of that species in the collection of the San Diego Natural History Museum. The shell is very beautiful, even if the snail is a blood-sucker! I would invite you to join WikiProject Gastropods, but I guess you are really a fish person. I apologize for our snail biting your fish! Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 02:01, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- It's true, I'm a fish person through and through. This is a very interesting snail though, and unexpectedly large for an ectoparasite. I'm glad that you mollusc people were able to fill out the article some; you're really on the ball. -- Yzx (talk) 18:27, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Dwarf lanternshark
I saw you changed the importance levels for Dwarf lanternshark for the Sharks and Fishes Wikiprojects to low after I set them to mid. I'm curious why you changed it back. I had started a discussion on the talk page about this. Apparently this shark is one of the very smallest, if not the actual smallest, shark. That I think raises its profile such that the page should receive more attention, at the very least at the shark wikiproject. Could you please comment on the talk page explaining your point of view? Thanks. Jason Quinn (talk) 01:05, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

I just came to leave the same message, and was awed at the number of DYK notifications listed here. It's wonderful to see such a prolific contributor venture into FAC, and I hope that you bring many more articles there. It's often unusual to see a first-time nominator's article be promoted, and it looks like you were extremely well-prepared. I really enjoyed reading the article - thank you for writing it! Dear Yzx,
I just translated your very good article on the Puffadder shyshark for the german wikipedia (de:Puffotter-Katzenhai) and will translate more shark articles you have written in the english wikipedia. The article is imported so you are part of the edit history like you are here. I think I will nominate this article for what we call "Lesenswerte Artikel" (~ good articles) after some small adjustments. You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Karanacs (talk) 17:17, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Stingarees
That's a great DYK hook you've got going there. Out of curiosity, why does it include only (!) 18 of the 21 Aust stingarees? Did you run out of hook space, or haven't been able to write / expand the other 3 species articles? hamiltonstone (talk) 03:59, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
