- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 19:07, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Abubakar Inuwa Tata moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Abubakar Inuwa Tata. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and some of the citations do not support the statements made. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. —Alalch E. 14:37, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
Overlinking
[edit]Hi - I have reverted a few of your edits, such as at Umuahia, for overlinking - so I have come to explain the reason.
As explained at WP:OVERLINKING we only link the first use of a term in any main section of an article, and we do not normally link:-
- Everyday words understood by most readers.
- Names familiar to most readers, including;- major countries, major cities, major languages, major nationalities/ethnicities and major religions
- Common units of measurement, years, months and dates
There are many articles where these are already, incorrectly, linked; however, we are trying to reduce this, not increase it - Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 09:32, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Danja, Nigeria. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
WP:OVERLINKING was clearly explained to you, above, but you have continued doing so. Please stop - Arjayay (talk) 19:31, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, Sir. I'll be sure not to do it again, and I'd appreciate some suggestions on how to prevent overlinking. 🎉 YusufuAM (talk) 17:44, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
Mirrors
[edit] Thanks for contributing to the article Tera people. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Petz recovery map moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Petz recovery map. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and there appear to be more references on this topic, I suggest including them and expanding by a paragraph or two so it is more useful to novices. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ldm1954 (talk) 15:49, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
