Iain Banks awards

Thanks for helping out. May I suggest it's better to reference each award bullet point separately? As it is, we can't be sure if all bullet points are referenced. And if they are, and somebody adds a new unreferenced ones, nobody may spot it. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:30, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

Notice

Information icon Hello, I'm Mike V. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living person, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mike VTalk 18:45, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

Citations need to be specific

Hi. At Special:Diff/617358119 you added a citation pointing to the SCBC, which just points to the base url. A citation needs to be specific, and it should point to a specific url that contains the specific information, see Wikipedia:Citing sources. So it would be the url http://www.sciencefictionbookclub.org/pages/Our_President,_Iain_M_Banks/ as the url. Would you please be able to update that citation. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 04:35, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Addendum. Generally, citing the SCBC would be less than ideal, and generally we would look for a third party reference, however, in lieu of such a reference, it has to do. — billinghurst sDrewth 04:38, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Kool-Aid Point requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of The Kool-Aid Point

The article The Kool-Aid Point has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP:NEO, Wikipedia is not to be used to promote usage of a term.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of The Kool-Aid Point for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The Kool-Aid Point is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Kool-Aid Point until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. VeryCrocker (talk) 19:21, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Marion Zimmer Bradley, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. Categories must also be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. The Wikipedia definition for this category is: "Pederasty is a (usually erotic) homosexual relationship between an adult male and a pubescent or adolescent male." This category cannot be applied to a female. Per WP:BRD you should have taken this to the article's talk page the first time you were undone, rather than restoring your edit. Either discuss it on the article's talk page or leave it alone. Meters (talk) 19:37, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Problems with File:JQuery logo.svg

Hello! I noticed that you recently changed the logo for jQuery, minifying the image file. Unfortunately, this also broke the preview for the image, which caused the render to look like this.

I have since reverted the edit so as not to ruin the quality of the jQuery page. If you can minify the image again, and hopefully get rid of any rendering error that may have been caused, that would be great. Regards, Chlod (say hi!) 02:51, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Unfortunately, this isn't the only error. By the looks of it, your other edits also glitched the images. I'm reverting those as well, for the sake of article quality. If you can find a solution, please correct the issue immediately. Thank you. Chlod (say hi!) 02:56, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Problem with logo uploaded

Hi, I've seen the SVG version of the Panini logo you uploaded in May, but I notice it is completely distorted (I guess due to an incompatilibity of formats). I don't know what browser do you use, at least in Chrome the logo shows that way.

What software did you use to render the file? Inkscape, CorelDraw maybe? Could you fix this? Thanks, - Fma12 (talk) 15:37, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
