Information icon Hello, I'm Emir of Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Lauren Southern without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Ned Kelly

[edit]

Hi Yellow-billed Loon,

Thanks for helping fix the vandalism at Ned Kelly. The best way to fix complex vandalism like that is to look in the page history. That way you can find the vandal edit(s) and revert them entirely, so you know nothing is missed.

Cheers, Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 12:43, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

List of birds of British Columbia edits

[edit]

Your extensive additions to List of birds of British Columbia need to have their source(s) cited in the article. Please add them; if you're unsure how to do this, see Help:Referencing for beginners. Thank you. Craigthebirder (talk) 13:04, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to nominate the article for deletion then you'll need to add the following to it:

{{subst:Proposed deletion|concern=reason for proposed deletion}}

filling in a suitable reason. Hut 8.5 22:40, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ribbon seal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Squamish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:48, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The definition of vandalism

[edit]

Regarding this? Read WP:Vandalism. My edit was not vandalism, which is why you were reverted by another. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 21:56, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

BLP discretionary sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Request reason:

This account was given a permanent suspension. Multiple people used (past-tense) this account. I see the vandalism committed by this account, know who did it, and will change the account password if unblocked. I mostly use Wikipedia for information on ecology. Decline reason:

Procedural decline only, duplicate request. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 18:34, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Decline reason:

If multiple people have used this account, then this account is WP:Compromised, and will not be unblocked unless we confirm its really the original owner operating it. Regardless, I somewhat doubt that this account was compromised, and I suggest you be entirely truthful. If it turns out your account was not compromised and technical evidence shows as much, you will likely remain blocked for good. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 18:41, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
