FLC
Hey! I have nominated Bajirao Mastani for FLC. I hope to receive constructive comments like last time, which were remarkable. It is here.Krish | Talk 07:10, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- Last time you labelled my queries as "frivolous" and told me to "put an oppose and leave". Yashthepunisher (talk) 08:25, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- That's because reviews for 90s Bollywood releases are not available online. I had a hard time finding the reviews which i finally found. Anyways, i did apologise. Didn't I? I hope you put your comments, which were quite helpful during the nomination. Sometimes, we realise a little late and that's what happened at that FLC. Krish | Talk 08:43, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments yash. I have tried to resolve all of them.Krish | Talk 16:15, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hey, i've already resolved your concerns about the list on FLC. Please talkback.Krish | Talk 09:59, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
- Point#2 is still unresolved. Yashthepunisher (talk) 10:35, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
- Source number two already says that the film was critically acclaimed and there are few reviews. Plus the rounup source lists mostly mixed ones and at that time most critics didn't even publish their reviews. I hope its fone now.Krish | Talk 17:11, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
- Krish! Then I'd suggest you to remove ref 3, 4 and 5, as a handful of positive reviews doesn't denote that a film received an overall positive response. Also place one of the review near the plot summary. Yashthepunisher (talk) 02:54, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Commercials in filmographies
I thought appearances in commercials can be mentioned in filmography articles, because they too involve people making screen appearances. Is there anyone who told you commercials should not be listed in filmographies? Kailash29792 (talk) 16:09, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
- Kailash29792 I don't think someone like Vikram has appeared in only four commercials. It surely has some issues of comprehensiveness. Also, I don't see the 'commercials' section in any other filmography. But, I can be wrong. If that's the case, feel free to revert my edit. Yashthepunisher (talk) 16:22, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
- I had the commercials section in Lady Gaga videography and Katy Perry videography. And videography = filmography. FrB.TG (talk) 15:42, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
- I guess mentioning 'commercials' is legit. Anyway, Kailash29792 has restored what I had removed. Yashthepunisher (talk) 15:46, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

TFL notification
Hi, Yashthepunisher. I'm just posting to let you know that List of accolades received by Lagaan – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for June 13. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 00:20, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you Giants2008, the blurb looks fine. Yashthepunisher (talk) 04:19, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

- @Pavanjandhyala: Thank you so much for the barnstar and good luck for Siva & Eega. Yashthepunisher (talk) 07:28, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. Both Eega and Siva are extremely draining. The latter's GAR will be hopefully wrapped up very soon, i guess! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 08:13, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
- Pavanjandhyala, Well I'm ready to review Eega at the FAC. BTW, have you droped the FLC plan for Tamannah filmography? Yashthepunisher (talk) 05:25, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- So much to chew on the plate, Yash. Siva has become a GA, Eega's FAC begins on 1 June, Tamannaah's filmography has lost its stability and is currently at WP:GOCER and i have to wait a little more. Apart from them, i am collaborating with Kailash29792 for another FAC—Missamma. Apart from those, there are a few GA plans. Not sure how much i can complete this year! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 12:20, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- So it's a very busy year for you. No worries, you will gradually work and accomplish your goals. It gets easy when you have such helpful editors like Kailash and Ssven as friends. 2016 isn't gonna end soon. Happy editing. Yashthepunisher (talk) 12:50, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- Both Kaliash and Ssven2 are a boon for me, always. Wishing you too a good time here! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 12:58, 27 May 2016 (UTC)

Hey there, re: this change, you might want to balance your understanding of WP:SEAOFBLUE by reviewing WP:CONTEXTLINK which says "The opening sentence should provide links to the broader or more elementary topics that are important to the article's topic or place it into the context where it is notable." It might also be helpful to read this discussion at WikiProject Film. I'm not motivated to revert your edit, but there was a strong argument to be made that part of the purpose of a lead sentence is to highlight the elementary topics. Maybe a wiser approach would be to remove unsourced genre. That'd save at least one link. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:11, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb:, Thanks for the information, I'll surely take care of this issue from now on. Re the 'sea of blue' edit, feel free to revert or fix it. Cheers! Yashthepunisher (talk) 04:28, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- We'll see. I'm not a huge fan of the excessive linking, but I do think it's worth linking Hindi, which by the way, should be "Hindi-language", since not everyone knows what Hindi is. If an Italian film was produced in English, we'd describe it as an Italian English-language film. "Italian English" would be confusing. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:32, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- But, Hindi language redirects to Hindi. Yashthepunisher (talk) 11:02, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Your behaviour on Shreya Ghoshal page
Dear @Yashthepunisher:, It looks like you are ruling Shreya Ghoshal page and you do what you like and showing that you are always correct. Zafar24Talk 21:45, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
- Zafar24, On what basis are you making this allegation? Kindly read MOS:DUPLINK, which says that a link can be reoccurred after the lead. I have been editing this article much before you started editing wikipedia. I took this article from scratch to GA. So, i can't allow anyone to damage it. Every edit of mine adheres to WP policies, they aren't solely based on personal preferences. Please do some homework before pointing fingers at me. Yashthepunisher (talk) 07:37, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
- Dear Yashthepunisher, I making this allegation because you linked this House of Commons of the United Kingdom which I mention that "Already above" means that you delete the Sonu Nigam link because it was second link, in the same way I deleted House of Commons of the United Kingdom link that was second link. Second, it is not important who edits more on Shreya Ghoshal page. Third, Can you tell me which damage you are talking about? I always wrote anything on Shreya Ghoshal page with references. Zafar24Talk 08:00, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
- Zafar24, "House of Commons.." is linked in the lead, and a article can be linked only once after lead. Sonu Nigam isn't linked in the lead but the "early life" section. So its redundant to overlink it. I think now you can understand everything and fix this mess. Now coming to the 'damaged' bit, you started this by adding a non notable award in the article, despite so many warning for not performing it. It was followed by a bunch of edits where you added claims from non-reliable sources. And the story goes on. I feel the culmination can be called 'damage'. You edit it good-faith, but first try to read out the policies most relevant to your edits. Also, please NEVER EDIT WAR. Regards, Yashthepunisher (talk) 10:46, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

- Dear Yashthepunisher, You linked that link House of Commons of the United Kingdom and you did not explained in the edit summary in Wikipedia that why you done that. You wrote " doesn't work that way " which confused me. You are a experienced user on Wikipedia, but still you didn't done that. I will advice you to in future when you edit on Shreya Ghoshal page, please write little more in 'edit summary' so that editors like me who is just months old on Wikipedia understand your edits. Zafar24Talk 08:43, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
- I have been quoting WP:OVERLINK several times, but your were blindfolded because of your stubbornness to see that. You are asking my explaination, but what about yours? You can't move beyond 'Link added' and 'very important link' kind of childish summaries. You have been a problem ever since you started editing here. Never ever come to my talk page again for any reason whatsoever in the near future, take this as a warning. I'm done talking to you. Also, you have some memory issues. Neglecting Cyphoidbomb's advice, again you are shouting. Yashthepunisher (talk) 01:52, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

As you read above, I am using the word "dear" which means I am talking to you politely. Sorry If I hurt your feelings.
Dear Yash, you said, " You have been a problem ever since you started editing here". If you have free time, then please have a look on Shreya Ghoshal's page history which I contributed with 'good faith' with reliable references. I admit that, I did mistakes in the past because I was not aware of the Wikipedia policies that time. But now, whenever I edit on Shreya Ghoshal's page, I include reliable references. Please have a look at Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers.
Here is what Wikipedia saying, "Bolding may be used to highlight key words or phrases (most usually to highlight "oppose" or "support" summaries of an editor's view), but should be used judiciously, as it may be interpreted as a raised voice". I was not shouting, Dear Yash, You misunderstood me, I just was highlighting my view and point. Wikipedia says you can use key words or phrases in bold. Zafar24Talk 01:21, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
GA Review
Hey Yash, if you find some time would you mind reviewing Waiting for GA? It's a relatively small article. It would be greatly appreciated! NumerounovedantTalk 12:08, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

- Numerounovedant, the film is still in theatres so the BO info will continue to fluctuate, thus affecting its stability. - Numerounovedant, I think you need to reconsider what you have done here. You simply pasted your 'weak support' without giving any kind of a proper reason to back that. You said to give it a c.e, but it was a mere tweak which you performed. I provided my support when my issues were resolved, you gave a weak support without raising any issue. I think its unfair. Hope you understand. Cheers! Yashthepunisher (talk) 05:08, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up Yash. Although I really couldn't find anything wrong with the article I'll still go through it again and see what I can do. Also, if you find some time could you offer some insight here NumerounovedantTalk 05:41, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

- Thanks Yash, I just need a second opinion on whether the article is worthy of a review, because honestly i think it wasn't prepared well enough and needs a lot of work (and should be failed). But the nominator keeps on insisting on continuing the review. NumerounovedantTalk 15:54, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Requirement of a note in Shreya Ghoshal page
Hi @Yashthepunisher:. It was me who had placed that note in infobox in page Shreya Ghoshal to avoid clashing of sources defined in the page. Recently, User:Zafar24 had updated Shreya Ghoshal's birthplace from Baharampur to Murshidabad citing a Times of India interview of Ghoshal as source in which she herself mentioned her birthplace Murshidabad. But the biographies uploaded by Saavn and her own official website mention Behrampore (in Bengali pronunciation) or Baharampur her birthplace. These sources are defined in section "Early Life" of the article and since they support other material info in the section (regarding Ghoshal's parents), they can't be removed. That's why I placed a clarifying note in infobox so that Times of India source don't conflict or clash with the above mentioned sources.
But I realized that placing that note in infobox wasn't very good or suitable, so, I now placed that note in "Early Life" section of the article and separately created a section "Notes" for invoking the note defined as above. That note is very much needed in the article. You can check yourself. Regards. Vibhss (talk) 07:19, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

Hello, Yashthepunisher. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
