- Thanks for the help. - AffeL (talk) 14:07, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
Here's my thought process. This is either a) Kit Harington, not wanting to publicise his relationship with Rose Leslie on Wikipedia, b) the reverse, c) a vandal screwing about. WP:AGF says we can't choose option c) if a) and b) are within the bounds of plausibility. If the IP comes back again, drop me a line and I'll have a look - if they're not prepared to communicate with us though, we can't do anything. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:46, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- Both Kit and Rose have been public about their relationship(See:[1](Min: 4.24) and [2]) If the ip user comes back, I will inform you. - AffeL (talk) 12:54, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- What if they've just had an almighty row and split up? Not that I would wish that to happen particularly, but sometimes that's just the way life goes. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:58, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- They where seen togheter just a day ago at an event in England, as a couple, holding hands and kissing. So, I don't believe they have parted ways, Even if they hade, a source is needed to confirm it. - AffeL (talk) 13:03, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

- And they said romance was dead :-) ... okay, I'm leaning more towards option c) now. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:08, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- Of course, in my warped imagination I have thought of d) a 27-year old bespectacled geek with suspicious facial hair who can't stand that that beastly Mr Harington had the gall to date the delectable Ms Leslie and decides to blank all mention on the internet to make him feel better. However, in practical terms that is close enough to c) anyway, and also d) is more likely not to be an anon IP, but an admin on Commons. (ooooh) Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:34, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

- @Ritchie333: The sentence in question, as it currently appears, is clear WP:SYNTH. I don't know what edits you were referring to, and I am not the IP in question (nor Harington, nor Leslie), but I know the content you are talking about and I am not a vandal. Either (a) a new source that explicitly supports the claim needs to be added, (b) the claim needs to be removed, or (c) the claim should be rewritten to accurately reflect the content of the BuzzFeed article (that the "on-and-off relationship" was widely rumoured and it wasn't until 2016 that the two "officially" appeared together at an event as a "couple"). Note that I think (c) might be a BLP-violation and violate WP:SPECULATION, and (a) might not be viable as I don't follow celeb gossip "news" and so don't know if such a source exists. One doesn't need to be a vandal or a COI editor to reach this conclusion -- any editor who understands our policies would reach the same conclusion. Hijiri 88 (聖やや) 02:57, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

Request reason:
I was blocked for using multiply account, which I have not done for many months now. After I got warned by an user months ago, I stopped using another account, I even wanted to delete those accounts(did not now how) and start a fresh clean journey on Wikipedia. I can promise that I have stopped and will never ever again use any other accounts other than this one for my own benefits. When I saw that I got blocked and it was about using multiply accounts, I was shocked, being that I have not edited on another account for a while and hade completly stopped. As you can see from my user page, I have contributed a lot on Wikipedia and want to keep doing so, so I don't understand why I'm getting blocked now for something I have done so long ago. I have changed my ways and read and learned about the different rules of wikipedia. Trying to edit and expand pages and revert vandalism. And if I ever, ever do anything even remotely wrong, then you can block me again, forever. So, I'm asking if you please could give me one more last chance. I will behave, I promise. - AffeL (talk) 20:32, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I've read through all of the history here, and it's not making a lot of sense. The claim of "Last time I used another account was in January" seems to contradict this recent edit a few weeks ago. That account was indeed used previously to double vote in AFDs and to avoid 3RRs with your master account multiple times. You've also recently created another sock account, so far unused, but no idea what you were thinking. To lift your previous indefinite block for socking, you said "again.. another CHANCE, if I fail, block me again.FOREVER!" The problem with continuously acting in a deceptive manner, is that we simply have no idea when to trust you. My suggestion would be to take a long time off and make a more transparent unblock request. Kuru (talk) 12:18, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- AffeL, can you link to the place where someone told you to stop socking this January? I remember you promised to stop socking back in 2014, but early this year you used the Peter account to cast three double-!votes in merge, move and deletion debates, and also quickly logged out of the AffeL account and into the Peter account to undo an edit that you apparently felt you had made under duress, and make it look like someone else was doing it.[1][2][3] (Note that, despite the farcical game AffeL and his sockpuppet played on GAN, he still brags about that GAN on his user page, which appears to be what he is referring to above with
As you can see from my user page, I have contributed a lot on Wikipedia
.) You also apparently created the sleeper account JasonC74 to help you in the various edit wars you were engaging in in early June, but didn't get around to it, apparently because you were told off by an admin before you got a chance. The only reason you were caught this time was because, for some reason, you chose to log into the Peter account again last week and make a piecemeal edit, even though there was a request for CU currently open. You sayI got warned by an user months ago, I stopped using another account
, but I can't find that warning.- I accidentally editen a small edit once with Peter the account after, used another browser, did not know I was logged in with another account. - AffeL (talk) 10:22, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry. Found it. @TAnthony: what do you make of the above? Were you aware, when you politely asked AffeL to stop socking rather than opening an SPI and requesting CU, that AffeL had previously been unblocked based on his promise never to sock again? Hijiri 88 (聖やや) 23:31, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
- It's also worth noting that in February AffeL explicitly denied that he was operating the Peter account:
I will no longer and have not used any other account..
It's nonsense, of course, to say "will no longer and have not used", but it makes a bit more sense if one interprets "will no longer" as referring to his confirmed socks from years earlier, and "have not" as a denial of the recent socking. He also claims above thatI even wanted to delete those accounts(did not now how) and start a fresh clean journey on Wikipedia
was a few months ago, but all he said a few months ago wasI will no longer and have not used any other account..
; the "deletion" request was back in 2014. This kind of evasive language, IDHT behaviour is why AffeL should have been blocked months ago, even if he were not actively socking. Hijiri 88 (聖やや) 23:45, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
- I accidentally editen a small edit once with Peter the account after, used another browser, did not know I was logged in with another account. - AffeL (talk) 10:22, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- Any admin reviewing the above unblock request should bear in mind that AffeL's "expand[ing of] pages and revert[ing of] vandalism" have been a source of much disruption in the past few months, and in fact he has been told off multiple times for referring to other editors' valid edits as vandalism and using "vandalism" as an excuse to get around 3RR.
- It should also be noted that the apparent contrition expressed in the last three sentences of the above appeal very closely mirror the appeal that led to his unblock back in 2014.[4]
i have abused multiply accounts. ... I seriously understand what I have caused, I would like to delete all of my accounts that I have created and start my life as a Wikipedia user from scratch. ... I know I can't say it was a long time ago, but for me it was. I don't feel comfortable give my age away but believe me i was just a kind when I was making does edits, reason I been unblocked is cause i was using different accounts when really when i got block form one i did made another one and sooo on and soooo on. ... This block is unnecessary cause i wanna help, help me, i messed up, i did wrong. what more is it to say i'm guilty, i made bad choices and i learned from them. ...just another chance, that's all i ask or putting an expire time on my block :( please
He has not apparently learned anything since writing that three years ago, except that feigning contrition is a good way to get unblocked. - Hijiri 88 (聖やや) 23:18, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
- Also,
I was blocked for using multiply account, which I have not done for many months now
is clearly more evasive language. CU was only permitted/performed, as far as I can tell, because there was an SPI open, and the SPI was opened because AffeL was very obviously logging out in order to get around 3RR. Either AffeL is lying when he claims he has read and understood our socking policy, or he has read and understood it, and is deliberately being evasive about the recent, disruptive sockpuppetry he was engaging in. (I say "recent, disruptive" since the logged-in Peter edit last week was benign and the disruptive double-!voting and "bad hand" activity was more than six months ago, while logging out to get around 3RR is just as much a violation of our socking policy.) Hijiri 88 (聖やや) 00:14, 11 August 2017 (UTC)- @Hijiri88: Thanks for the ping. I was unaware of any previous sockpuppeteering on AffeL's part when I called him on some socking in February 2017. I looked the other way in November 2016 because his "opponent" in the dispute was blocked; I discovered the subsequent activity a couple of months after the fact, and the PeterD12 account had no recent edits. I had no idea about the JasonC74 account, and I am disappointed if (as seems to be the case) AffeL was actively using it only a few months after my message. I suppose I should not have settled with his pat promise to never do it again.— TAnthonyTalk 00:35, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- 13557 edits and he's still getting there and their mixed up. That's worthy of a indefinite block by itself isn't it? — IVORK Discuss 06:19, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- @IVORK: He's done a lot worse than that, not least the above rehash of his false contrition from 2014 and openly claiming that his "I have not used other accounts" this February had been a sincere promise never to do so again. I'm not sure how many false promises to change the community can take before his latest indefinite block is upgraded to a site-ban, but if anyone considers unblocking him they should first make him accept a clear unblock condition, such as "indefinite 1RR and an indefinite Game of Thrones topic ban". Making fun of his poor spelling and grammar kind of cheapens the serious disruption he has caused, and if anything might mislead a passing appeal-reviewer into thinking those of us who have been begging and pleading for him to change are just being petty. Ahem. While I appreciate that the block on this account is a cause for relief for some other editors, a couple of the comments above veer a little towards gravedancing. If you have something pertinent to add regarding the block (and please note that this block is specifically for checkuser confirmed sockpuppetry, not for disruptive editing, personal attacks or anything else) please do, but tangential evidence of disruption and character assassination are not helpful to the reviewing administrator. I'm not aiming this at anyone in particular, but would suggest that if you want to add a message here, consider first whether you are here primarily to help or to gloat; if it's the latter, maybe don't. - @Kuru: You said that I recently created another sock account. But I have read that "multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons". - @Kuru: In AffeL's defense, you are talking about two different accounts. The account AffeL claims not to recall is JasonC74, while the account he acknowledges making a single recent edit from is PeterD12. The recent Peter edit didn't pertain to any contentious changes; all it did was wikilink the names of four actors. I don't see any reason why he would have deliberately tried to obfuscate his involvement in this edit, especially as, in recent weeks, he has openly made edits that were contentious. I do recall, however, that some editors thought that this edit by an IP might have been AffeL, and perhaps some other similar reversions by IPs to the same article around the same time. It was discussed here, and I'm not sure if those edits were ever investigated. --DavidK93 (talk) 18:16, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Extract of Light of the Seven Fair by Ramin Djawadi.ogg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Extract of Light of the Seven Fair by Ramin Djawadi.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The file File:Beat the Drum Soundtrack.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Beat the Drum#Soundtrack. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:55, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Ygritte-Rose Leslie.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ygritte-Rose Leslie.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:59, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
The file File:Red Dawn (soundtrack) cover.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Red Dawn (2012 film)#Soundtrack. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:12, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
