December 2011

[edit]

Hello! I'm a bot created by another Wikipedia editor. I wanted to let you know that I removed a link that you recently added to the page Gourmet Foods here. I did this because http://www.gourmet-pakistan.blogspot.com/ is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia. We usually avoid linking to blogs, forums, and social media sites.

We appreciate your help in making Wikipedia better for everyone. If I made a mistake, feel free to undo my edit. If you have any questions, you can ask at the Help desk.

Thank you! --XLinkBot (talk) 10:02, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bilal Khan(Singer), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.showbizprofile.com/celebrity/Bilal-Khan.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anas Rashid, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Zzarch (talk) 07:41, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Bilal Khan(Singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

The article Bright Student has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Original research

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Your addition to Nicholas Michaletos has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. Deletion of Bright Student

[edit]

As noted directly above, I proposed that the article Bright student be deleted because it is original research. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It summarizes published information. We never include original articles that are authored directly on Wikipedia. It appears that this is exactly what you have done at Bright Student - written your personal thoughts about what a bright student is. If this is not the case, please provide reliable, published sources for the content of the article to demonstrate where this information has come from. Thanks, Sparthorse (talk) 07:06, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Arfa Karim.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://forum.gizzlopedia.com/blogs/blog2.php/cute-picture-of-princess-arfa. As a copyright violation, File:Arfa Karim.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Arfa Karim.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Jaqen (talk) 12:15, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Amanat Ali Paheli.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Amanat Ali Paheli.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 09:24, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Fireworks9 CS5.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Fireworks9 CS5.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. CSD A7

[edit]

You made a mistake when you tagged Anticancer genes as WP:CSD#A7. A7 requires that the subject be one of these four things:

  • a real person,
  • individual animal(s),
  • an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or
  • web content.

I'm sure you can agree that a type of genetic material is neither a person, an individual animal (like Man o' War (horse)), an organization, or a webpage. No other subject is required to make a claim of importance, and no other type of subject can be deleted under A7. CSD criteria are supposed to be very, very narrowly interpreted. Please be more careful about applying them in the future.

(If no CSD criterion applies, but you still think the subject is inappropriate for Wikipedia, then you can use WP:PROD or WP:AFD instead.) WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:29, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please make sure that you check articles like that (large, no links, etc.) to see if they have been copied from elsewhere, because they can and must be deleted even if they are notable or aren't advertising. Thanks, and have a great day. :) Nolelover Talk·Contribs 14:26, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just curious why you put an A7 on it. I deleted it, but as a blatant hoax. Strictly, A7 wouldn't apply, as it treated the cheeses as a species rather than it being one named animal. File source problem with File:Nouman Javaid.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Nouman Javaid.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Sandbox deletion

[edit]

Just saw you tagged your sand box for AfD, you should use the speedy deletion for this purpose as you can get pages in your user space deleted at nomination without any discussion. Use {{delete|reason}} instead. --lTopGunl (talk) 11:54, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ok Thanks.  Sabeel Hussain  talk 11:56, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. --lTopGunl (talk) 11:57, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
You have been indefinitely blocked from editing for Abusing multiple accounts. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Avi (talk) 14:27, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please Help Me Avi!!!!!!!!!!!!  Sabeel Hussain  talk 13:54, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been caught abusing multiple accounts this project as well the Commons. -- Avi (talk) 05:25, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I think somebody got mistake i've not created an account suspected sock puppet. Please unblock me as i am not telling a lie and i don't know the account of User:Sabeeel43.:( Why was I blocked ?

Decline reason:

Checkuser blocks typically aren't reviewed by regular admins. You'll need to get in touch with the checkuser who blocked you (see their block notification, above). – Luna Santin (talk) 03:52, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

As per above, checkusers on both this project and the Wikimedia Commons have caught you abusing multiple accounts, in direct violation of core principles. -- Avi (talk) 05:27, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

but that is not the big reason to block me indefinitely :( please unblock me Avi!!!!!!!  Sabeel Hussain  talk 13:43, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it is. Deliberate abuse of multiple accounts, combined with the copyright violations that are all through your history, do indicate that you have some serious issues when it comes to abiding by the policies and guidelines which is a necessary component to maintaining editing privileges on the English WIkipedia (and pretty much all Wikimedia) project. I would suggest you contact WP:ARBCOM at arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org to discuss your block further. -- Avi (talk) 19:20, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.:(  Sabeel Hussain  talk 10:00, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Avi !!!!!! My main goal on Wikipedia is to make it as clean and concise as possible. I've created a few pages, but for the most part, I do a lot of copyediting and cleanup work.  Sabeel Hussain  talk 10:20, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nouman Javaid requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:MTV Roadies (season 9).png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:MTV Roadies (season 9).png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
