Thanks for uploading File:John D. Hunter.jpg, which you've attributed to http://numfocus.org/news/2012/08/28/johnhunter/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

As I explained, there's currently no indication that the image is in the public domain. If permission is received, the tag I added will be removed and replaced by permission information. If obtaining permission takes longer than the one week set out in the message box, don't worry; if the image gets deleted, it will be un-deleted again as soon as the permission is confirmed. Proposed deletion of John D. Hunter

The article John D. Hunter has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability, no coverage in reliable independent sources, nothing found via Google News. The article reads as if his funeral is what he's best known for.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Some comments. Firstly, please do not modify archived discussions. If you think there's more to be said on a topic that has already been archived, it's probably better to start a new discussion. Few people will look at the archive; comments thereto are likely to be missed. Secondly, please take another look at WP:Identifying reliable sources. Forums and (most) blogs are not subject to any editorial oversight and are not considered reliable sources for biographical content. Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Mukul Sinha. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!
