Mission Impossible edits

Hi Xray215,

StewieBaby05 has initiated the change to the "page per season" format. Initially, I thought that he/she deleted a lot of work that I put into revising the plots. When he/she explained the actions, I decided that I am okay with his/her efforts.

The immediate value that I see is that Mission Impossible conforms to a standardization discussed in the Wikipedia Manual of Style: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:TVLEAD#Multiple_pages

When the MoS was developed, other editors have collectively decided that a series 80+ episodes warrants additional consideration. Because of StewieBaby05's efforst, Mission Impossible is following the same standard employed by, for example, Law & Order and Breaking Bad.

Although conducting a word search is not as efficient with the existence of several pages as you have stated, I don't see the added efforts being burdensome -- especially since the link to the next season appears within the Infobox box, thereby making the finding and loading of the next season easy and efficient. I did a search on "cat" for all of the seasons (Rusty is in Season 2). Using two fingers for Cntl-F on one hand and holding the mouse cursor in place over the next season link, my search resulted in seven clicks, seven Cntl-F keys mashings, and one scroll up. Except for Season 2 (which included the scroll up), I was on each page for no more than 3 seconds.

It is certainly a trade-off between standardization and search efficiency, but in this case, I easily accept it.Television fan (talk) 18:03, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
