List of Pan Am episodes
[edit]The lead section is supposed to summarise an article, and listing the number of episodes that have aired as of a certain date is part of that summarising. Removal of "As of February 19, 2012[update], fourteen episodes have aired, and the first season has finished airing" is inappropriate as it means the lede does not properly summarise an article. --AussieLegend (talk) 18:10, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Mission Impossible edits

On the Mission Impossible episode list page, you recently undid a change I made (and in turn my change had been an undo of a previous change). I wanted to ask about this.
The reason I originally changed that page was because the formerly included/inline episode summaries had been removed. At the time, I didn't realize that they'd been moved to different pages (one page per season), and on the basis that I thought they were simply lost, I undid the change. I now see that the episode summaries are accessible through separate links, so I realize the change isn't wantonly (or unknowingly) destructive, but I don't see the value proposition.
Before the change, the procedure for finding an episode summary with (for example) "kitten" in it was this:
- open the page that is labeled as an episode list for the show
- use the browser's search function to find the word "kitten"
After the change, the procedure is this:
- open the page that is labeled as an episode list for the show
- use the browser's search function to find the word "kitten"
- not finding the word, possibly just assume no episodes have the word, and give up
- somehow deduce that the summaries are on separate pages
- for every page for the various seasons of the show, find the link, load it, and search the resulting page
Can you help me understand what the proposed value of the change is, and whether you believe said value outweighs the inconvenience introduced?

Across all sports player's pages when a player signs with a team, but has yet to play a game with team, it still says "....who currently plays for the _____________". - Sure, most definitely. It provides the reader information where the incident previously occurred. Generally, the link will provide more of the story and background of the story. I find it very helpful to refresh the reader's recollection of the incident that occurred in a prior episode. A good example is the link " an earlier conversation" found in Gliding Over All which references back to a previous episode Bullet Points (Breaking Bad). This is fact can be established, is significant, is not biased, and is not embellishment (and where does it say a degree of embellishment is improper?
