Christian mission
[edit]Hi
I noticed your message regarding Mission_(Christianity). I've been taking a break for a while, and I'm probably not going to be able to do massive amounts of work in the near future, but I'll list a number of issues that I think should be addressed:
- The article has a very heavy American and Lutheran bias. I see you have made some efforts to improve and provide handles for further improvement.
- The article hardly mentions intra-national Lutheran mission, which at least in my country (Norway) has a long and extensive history. I strongly suspect this to be the case for other Nordic countries as well.
- Some of the most important sections have no or almost no sources, and appear to be written on the basis of a single source. (History, Contemporary concepts)
- The criticism section is, despite recent improvements, still far from comprehensive, and it should possibly be merged into the appropriate sections on history and modern practice
- There are still NPOV issues, especially in the Contemporary concepts section
I face several difficulties in approaching this: First, as I don't know the origin of much of the existing material, the large unsourced sections will have to be heavily editorialised if I'm going to use the sources available to me (mainly research papers and Encyclopedia Britannica in a 1988 edition). Second, I'm not very knowledgeable about the topic myself, my knowledge stems from some personal experiences and the current public discourse in Norway, which do give some point of entry, but which make it difficult for me to understand what a comprehensive, global view should be. Third, I'm worried that given the amount of material on what I percieve to be narrow themes in the Contemporary concepts part, it would demand a hefty amount of work to expand this part enough to achieve a topical balance.
I would suggest that we try to compose a team, possible by reaching out to the Project:Christianity, and make a plan. Given this, I would be willing to take on some minor tasks. Otherwise, I will probably have to wait for the inspiration to sit down with my Encyclopedia and suggest some major changes.

Speedy deletion nomination of Anglican Cathedral of the Redeemer
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Anglican Cathedral of the Redeemer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that has essentially the same content as an article on another Wikimedia Foundation project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 19:52, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
The article is now entirely in English. I will be adding to it substantially in the coming days. I have authored several pages and am fluent in English and Spanish and actually work at this church. Hope for great things. And someone please remove this tag. Maybe make it a stub, that would make sense... Xphilosopherking (talk) 20:15, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
