Request reason:
I will not vandalize my sandbox. I just want another chance considering I am new here. I admit my mistake why not forgive me?
Decline reason:
The contents of your sandbox would have been grossly unacceptable on most web sites, never mind here at Wikipedia, and the lack of judgment you showed does not give me any confidence in your desire to contribute to this serious academic project. Should you wish to make another unblock request, I would suggest you explain your understanding of this project and what it is, make it clear how your presence here will enhance the project, and provide some specific details of the areas in which you would like to work and how you plan to go about it. If you can do that, another admin might decide it's worth giving you another chance. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:06, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

I think my block was unjust. If it's that big a deal I won't vandalize anything including my own sandbox if I am given another chance. Comprende?
I am ne where. i just want another chance. i think an indef block was way over the line. Espically since I DONT want to cause problrms for othe rpeople.

Request reason:
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia which people use to gain knowledge. People come here to learn about any topic they wnbt to. I am an intelligent person. If given the opportunity, i would edit, write, and create many articles on College athletics. I love watching college athletics and have a near encyclopedic knowledge of them. If given the opportunity I would improve many sports articles like for example a coach's record, i would edit their page to show how many games they've won. This site uses a lot of statistics. One I learned how to do the tables, i would make and organize abunch of stats. I definately believe that the sports section of Wikipedia could use a guy like me. if you give me another chance, I will not let you down :).
Decline reason:
And you used your eagerness to contribute to sports articles by posting pornographic texts. Combined with your username and your post to talk page of someone you haven't contacted before, I conclude that you're up to no good. Max Semenik (talk) 11:58, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

I really want another chance. I know you question my desire but I do WANT to be here. I WANT to contribute. I WANT to teach through editing. Give me the chance. You will be missing out on someone who is eager to learn and who has a tremendous knowledge of sports if you do not. Put aside the skepticism and cynicism and see that I actually want to contribute to this encyclopedia. Please oh please

[edit]I saw your post on his page. Look I won't do it again. I just want another chance. Everyone is so skeptical. Why can you not see I just want a chance. Another chance. I am beggibg, praying, pleaing, hoping, breathing, believing that somehow somway I will get a chance to REDEEM myself. I am not evil. I just want another chance :(. I will change my username and refrain from all unconstructive behavior. I want to contribute. I understand what i did was wrong. I was immature. But this block taught me that there are consequences for my actions. Also knowing that I did do something wrong and that I must pay the consequences for my actions I wonder can a deal be made where I serve a block, but after the block I can contribute and show you guys I am taking this seriously? I understand why you would block me. i should not have done it in the first place. And I apologize. If given another chance, i will do what I can to positively contribute to Wikipedia. Surely we can have some sort of compromise? Note: Also, after I wrote this appeal I have spent several hours thinking of why I was blocked, what I can do to contribute, and why I can in fact redeem myself. I have a lot to offer. Hopefully I can get a second chance. This will be final appeal no matter what decision is made. the ball is in your court. I have made my case. The one thing I know is I really would love to make Wikipedia eveen better :). I sincerely apologize for my actions and understand why i got the consequence that I did. Would you like to be my groupie (talk) 14:08, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
Decline reason:
This is merely a technical decline, as a username change will be needed here. I agree with the blocking admin that we can give you a second chance, so use the "{{unblock-un | user=new username | reason=your reason here}}" template below, and if the suggested new username is acceptable, I'll unblock so you can do the actual name change request. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:48, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Also if I get unblocked I would like to see if a veteran editor could help me show the ropes espicially with the technical side of editing.
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
| I would like to learn more about the actual editing of the articles. Tables, graphs, charts, categorizing. I want to learn how to do this stuff. Would somebody like to teach me? Thanks.
- I think that you can go look at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user/Adoptee's Area/Adopters and ask one of those folks to be adopted. I understand that Bmusician sometimes adopts users that need a little bit of help, you could post a request on User talk:Bmusician. Cheers, Shearonink (talk) 17:54, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]What I will demonstrate right here while I am waiting for my appeal are examples of what I would do, what I need help with etc.
Now see the team sections all the way below? Like all the team scores? I would add what conferences each team belonged too. I also would have a source to back it up- the ESPN College Basketball Encyclopedia. I want to know how exactly to add the conferences tot he page and how exactly to implent this for every tournament since 1985- the first year of the 64-team field.
I just did the entire leagie and editing that was a blast. I would love to do things like this all over sports articles. I knew that wprds alone could never prove why I want to be here and why you should give me another chance. Showing you... in other words ACTIONS are what speak the loudest. i may be blocked... but I feel accomplished doing this :)

Notes
[edit]A final shot in the second round at The Boise State Pavilion is one of the most memorable moments in NCAA history. UCLA's Tyus Edney dashed the length of the 94-foot court in just over 4 seconds to make a layup that gave the Bruins a 75-74 win over Missouri, which sustained UCLA's run to a national title that year.[1]

That he also managed to toss in a swooping layup left Missouri with its hands over its face. The No. 1-seeded Bruins trailed the No. 8-seeded Tigers by 1 point with 4.8 seconds remaining when Edney, a turbo point guard, started his cross-country journey. He took the inbounds pass under his own basket, was neck-and-neck with defender Jason Sutherland at midcourt, freed himself with a behind-the-back dribble, made a hairpin turn to the lane and banked in a shot over 6-foot-9-inch Derek Grimm at the buzzer.
Looking at my case from 3 POV's
[edit]I have had alot of time to think about my actions. Thinking of my actions and trying to make a case for me being unblocked I have compiled 5 reasons for why I should stay blocked and 5 reasons for why I should be unblocked
Why I should stay Blocked
[edit]1. My first edit was unconstructive. MY username also is inappropiate 2. At first I ssemed insincere about my blocking 3. The content of my sand box. I made several terrible pornographic references and acted like a dumb kid. 4. I clearly stated that i intended to vandalize my Sandbox and this raised the red flags about me. 5. I talked to a random user which seems to show intent of vandlaism/causing trouble
Why I should be unblocked
[edit]1. I showed what exactly I would do if unblocked 2. I admited to my mistakes 3. I expressed remorse for my actions and Ialso offered a compromise of staying blocked but coming back eventually 4. i expressed the desire to be tutored bya veteran editor who could help me out more. 5. I have a willingness to learn and I believe I can be a great editor if given the opportunity
Neutral Conclusion
[edit]Ultimately it is up to the admins. But I understand my actions, why my actions created the consequences they did. I have used my time to show what I would do and have also expressed a willingness to learn and an understanding of why I got blocked. ADmins if need be, I would be more then willing to change my name and more then willing to serve some type of punishment. After all I did do the crime so I should do the time.
- As blocking admin, I have no prejudice towards giving this user another chance (under a different username of course). -- Ϫ 14:22, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

- I agree with the blocking admin that we can give you a second chance, so use the "{{unblock-un | user=new username | reason=your reason here}}" template below, and if the suggested new username is acceptable, I'll unblock so you can do the actual name change request. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:49, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Having problems putting the username I want in the template
I am having extreme problems witht he template so the name I want is NCAA basketball is terrific
- The request looks fine, and you are now unblocked. The last step is for you to request the actual name change at Wikipedia:Changing username, and then wait for it to be done - it should really only be a formality, but only a bureaucrat can do the actual renaming. (We don't have many bureaucrats, so you might need to be patient) -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:12, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
