User talk:Worm That Turned/Rant On/Being an arbitrator
Nice essay
[edit]Nice essay, Worm. Thanks for writing it. The tone seems factual and descriptive, so I wouldn't call it a rant. It was quite informative and gives a glimpse into what it's be like to be on arbcom, which is really interesting. Sounds like the arbcom workload is quite high, but that most folks don't realize this since so much of the work has to happen privately. Sounds like there's a lot more to arbcom than just the big cases. –Novem Linguae (talk) 15:27, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
Worm That Turned stepping down
[edit]Please take this note as my formal resignation from the Arbitration Committee. I've been less available in 2023 than I'd like, and since we're near election season, I felt this was a good time for me to step down. Being an arbitrator is not the most appreciated role on the encyclopedia (something I've written about in the past), so I'd just like to express my personal gratitude to the remaining committee, who do so much work behind the scenes, dealing with things so the rest of the community doesn't have to. - Noting for the formality of it, I'm giving up CU OS for now too, please. WormTT(talk) 14:43, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
