Some advice
[edit]Just so you know, those NBA player stats tables are almost never maintained over the course of a season. It's a lot easier to wait until the season is over before updating those sections. Thanks anyway, though. You efforts are appreciated. Zagalejo^^^ 05:35, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Supercapitalist, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://24onlinemovies.wordpress.com/tag/supercapitalist.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 15:57, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
The article Supercapitalist has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Does not meet the WP:GNG with no independent references to the film. After its release if there are independent reviews, the article can be recreated.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Michael Scott Cuthbert (talk) 16:41, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
Supercapitalist
[edit]There's nothing stopping you from recreating the page, provided you address the reason why it was deleted. If you don't then your recreation will be deleted again for the same reason. The reason I deleted the page was that it had obviously been copied from various other websites on the internet. We can't use such content because it it copyrighted. (I suggest you read this if you have further questions.)
In addition someone had placed a proposed deletion tag on the article expressing a concern that the subject does not meet our notability guidelines. If you recreate the page you should try to address this issue as well. Hut 8.5 18:42, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Derek Ting, 2012.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Derek Ting, 2012.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Bgwhite (talk) 05:34, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Worldofinfo. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Derek Ting, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. As 99% of edits are either related to the subject, the film he is "starring" in or linking the film project to his co stars. I suspect that this account belong to this subject. - Thank you for sharing your concerns. However, I am not this subject. I have been on Wikipedia since before I knew of the movie or its casting, and even before officially joining, have always wanted to give a little something back to such a great resource. In the past, most of what I wanted to contribute has already been part of Wikipedia. Needless to say, folks are really fast at adding and updating Wikipedia. This was one thing that seemed new to add. The adds and edits were in a good faith attempt to contribute while staying within the spirit of Wikipedia, hence the effort to provide references for all statements and the effort to present unbiased information. Information was drawn from third-party sources and negative statements were not deleted. Rather than outright article deletion, assistance in adjusting the article to be more compliant with Wikipedia's goals would have been much preferred and more encouraging. There did not seem to be a complete discussion before deletion. Undiscussed votes for outright deletion seemed a bit harsh while seeming to function more of a shortcut to delete topics because the voters were not yet familiar with the topic or unwilling to provide assistance in bringing the article into compliance. There have been other articles on Wikipedia that seemed to be of similar content, with even less background, so it had seemed that this article would have been an appropriate contribution. --User:Worldofinfo
