EEAS' Paola Amadei
[edit]Hi WomenProj, are you going to write a article on EEAS's Paola Amadei, too? In case, here are sources: 1, 2. Best, --LH7605 (talk) 15:42, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, yes. Will look into it, thank you. --WomenProj (talk) 15:48, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- @LH7605: Also "has a diploma of the College of Europe of Bruges (Belgium)" See how easy it was to mix them up? haha What do you suggest is the best way to disambiguate/diff? Both are diplomats and I'm sure how to name this one: Paolo Amadei (politician), (executive)? --WomenProj (talk) 15:55, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- Indeed a big coincidence. Normally I would go for age, for instance "Paola Amadei (19xx)" but I don't think there is verified information on either of their ages. So maye go for "Paola Amadei (Italian diplomat)" and "Paola Amadei (European diplomat)". Would that be an option? Best, --LH7605 (talk) 20:27, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hmm, not sure. I'll check other examples of similar instances first. --WomenProj (talk) 15:00, 31 October 2021 (UTC)

- @FlightTime:Hi! I mainly work on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's History and Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red hence the username choice. I've read the WP:ISU section you've referred and it doesn't say anything about calling something a project is not acceptable, but I would appreciate it if you could point me to the right direction. Thanks! --WomenProj (talk) 17:46, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry to ping you, @WomenArtistUpdates:, but when I was looking at Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red overview and participants, I saw your username and that inspired me a little bit in my username choice. Hope that's okay... --WomenProj (talk) 00:20, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
I don't see any problem with your user name. It implies somebody who works on women-related projects. WomenArtistUpdates is someone who updates articles about women artists. Megalibrarygirl is a girl who works in a library who is mega. Chiswick Chap is a chap who lives in Chiswick. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:48, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Ritchie333: Thank you, and I certainly hope I get to keep it.--WomenProj (talk) 11:51, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Ritchie333: Yes, that is an available assumption if you know the users rational given above, however if you just happen by, an assumption could be "some kind of Women's group" outside the project, which was my assumption. Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel) 19:02, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- I came here because I too consider the username less than ideal. 1Veertje (talk) 15:28, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Myrtle Edwards (politician)
[edit]On 15 November 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Myrtle Edwards (politician), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Myrtle Edwards's family objected to Seattle's Gas Works Park being named after her? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Myrtle Edwards (politician). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Myrtle Edwards (politician)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
