Welcome to Wikipedia, WoW the revival! Thank you for your contributions. I am AddWittyNameHere and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! AddWittyNameHere 02:38, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@AddWittyNameHere: Hi, and thanks for the very warm and good welcome. I really appreciated that! WoW the revival (talk) 15:19, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome! I see you've already mastered how to "ping" someone so they get a notification, how to indent your replies, and how to sign? You're off to a great start, then! Hope you like Wikipedia so far? AddWittyNameHere 15:44, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@AddWittyNameHere: Basically, I learnt these accidentally. Yes, I like the wiki; I am impressed from the fact that billions of people are helped every day, and that it is actually easy to help out this great project! WoW the revival (talk) 17:03, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That's a great thing: it means that you are both good at observing and can decently well figure out wiki mark-up. Both of those will serve you well in the future: it's much, much easier to contribute at Wikipedia when you can teach yourself how to do things by observing how others do it than it is to have to look for each separate part yourself to learn from the documentation. (That said, at one point or another you probably will run into a case of "well, I know what I want to do...but I don't know if it's possible and if so, how to do it, 'cause I haven't seen anyone do it so far" or "well, I know what I want to do, and I think I saw someone do it at some point, but where was that again..?" Especially if you start editing in more specialized areas, which usually have a fair few templates and categories that only apply to that area. If so, feel free to ask me for help and if I can't figure it out either, chances are I'll at least know where to point you so you can find people who can) Anything in specific you especially like doing so far, or just testing the waters and trying a bit of this and a bit of that for now? AddWittyNameHere 19:16, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
{{re|AddWittyNameHere} Sorry for the late reply, Thanks for your very good words! Of course, i am very glad that you offered help to me. I am, for now, testing the waters, trying to see how this thing works; i plan to edit automotive articles when i learn enough. WoW the revival (talk) 09:18, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I saw from your contributions that you hadn't been around, so it made sense you didn't respond yet. Having a real life isn't prohibited. Automotive articles, hm? Nice! Not quite the area I tend to work in, but it's always good to have an idea of what you'd like to work on. Did you come across WikiProject Automobiles yet? It probably has a some resources that'd be useful to you. AddWittyNameHere 10:13, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@AddWittyNameHere: Yeah (i have a busy real life)! I didn't knew that there were these wikiprojects, i will have a look at them (through i'll maybe not join them) Maybe, would it be an good idea to work together until i learn and can work alone?WoW the revival (talk) 17:39, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yay! (Busy in a good way, I hope?) No requirement to join them, but always good to know where to find other editors with an interest in the same articles, relevant resources, and similar such things. Even if you don't join them, I'd recommend adding the page to your watchlist, so you'll at least see when relevant discussions occur. Other than as a "hub" for editors working on the same kind of articles, WikiProjects—or rather, their talkpages—also serve something close to a "noticeboard" where editors leave links to relevant discussions and processes occurring elsewhere on the 'pedia. Easier to reach a majority of the interested editors that way than by having to check who all recently edited articles on the subject. And sure, if you'd like to work together with me, I'd be happy to help you. Any specific help you're currently looking for, or just "whatever you can think up that might be useful for me to know"?
