Regarding Roger Kahn

G'day Wlmg (golly, how do you pronounce that?),

I've semi-protected the page to give the article some short-term peace. Because I'm (a) personally involved (sort of), and (b) somewhat out of touch, I've asked AN/I to review that semi-protection. It's possible they'll come up with a different solution, but either way, it's got some notice. Thanks for letting me know! fuddlemark (befuddle me!) 08:19, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

Stockbridge School

Hello,

I've just started this so I'm not quite sure if I'm doing things correctly.

Certainly citations are needed here. I could go through the list of kids in my class and point out, for the most part, who were there because they were screw-ups like me or their parents actually believed in the international nature of a "progressive" school. Hans was certainly pushing this concept to the folks who were paying the kids bills. But I don't think many actually believed that garbage.

Make no mistake that I got sent to Stockbridge because my psychologist told my parents to get me out of the house. And yes boarding schools are places to park kids but I'm not sure schools like Andover and Phillips are that way. But Stockbridge certainly was. I guess what bothers when I read about the school is the dwelling on credo and that kind of crap but no acknowledgement of what seems to me to be its primary purpose.

Nobody failed school at Stockbridge, nobody didn't pass a grade at the end of the school year and if you were a senior in June of the year you graduated. Lots different than public high school, at least where I went for a while.
