Ninth Symphony on one record?

[edit]

In this edit, you say that

Columbia's president, Edward (Ted) Wallerstein insisted that the new system permit the recording of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony on one record.

You don't give a reference for this. Do you have one? It sounds very unlikely to me, for reasons I give at Talk:Gramophone record#Ninth Symphony on one record. Please respond and discuss there. Dpbsmith (talk) 18:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I don't have a source, other than my (sometimes wrong) memory.I'll remove tis information until I can find something to support it. Wis2fan (talk) 14:33, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Caddie Woodlawn (musical), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Whittier (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Al Dubin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Indian Summer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). If you want to report a problem with main page content, go here: Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors

With regards to the issue that you tried to raise, you might want to notice that there are two target articles in that particular hook. And it's the second one that contains the quote. Hence, there's nothing to report. Schwede66 04:30, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
