Huggle
I was using Huggle, therefore I had no control over what level warning I could give. Huggle automatically sends the next level warning then their is. Therefore, I could not control what level warning Huggle gave. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pekayer11 (talk • contribs) 23:29, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- Then I will delete that warning and reissue one once the user that gave him a level 3 gives me a reply. You should look at the previous warnings given by a user so that Huggle and/or the person who issued a warning made a mistake. Class I Laser (talk) 23:35, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
You don't get it. I notoriously edit vandalism. I press one button and it 1. Reverts the vandalized page. 2. Gives the person a warning. 3. Delivers a recently edited page. I have no control over what level warning is given... it's automatic meaning if they have no warnings a level 1 warning will be issued... if they have a level 3 warning then a level 4 warning will be issued. It's automatic.

I gave them three level warning because the 1st level warning is for AGF, 2nd level warning is for neither AGF nor ABF (no long-term bad intentions, only one such edit). I consider their removal of criticism as bad-faith attempt to censor the article. SkyBonTalk\Contributions 07:24, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- However, isn't it policy to give first-time vandals a level one warning instead of a level three warning? Class I Laser (talk) 12:02, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Consider reading the warnings' policy here. SkyBonTalk\Contributions 12:10, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Uh, vandalism?
The last time I checked, adding a pop culture reference section to an article was not vandalism. I understand if you don't think it is necessary, but please explain your rationale for marking it vandalism. 24.187.189.117 (talk) 01:37, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- I am so sorry. I checked the history and it seems like the vandalism was reverted, but was not showing in the history. I meant to direct that to another vandal. Again, I apologize. Class I Laser (talk) 01:42, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your welcome message. I'd like to know if there is a specific proceedure when it comes to translating articles?
Thanks!

Can you please take a look at your article named above? It looks like a candidate for speedy deletion, and I so tagged it. If you can explain the whys about it, place a {{hangon}}
tag on it and give your explanation on the article's Talk page. -- Alexf(talk) 20:56, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi

I'm a new user. my user name is WaveRunner85. Please edit my user and talk pages to be the same as yours.

Hey Class I Laser,
I was wondering how to make userboxes. Gandalf the Wise sent me a link but when I go there I don't know how to make one or where to go. Also pleaseupate my user and talk pages with stuff as soon and as awesome as you can make it. Thanks.

- Yes, I did. Someone tried to redirect me account. Also, I was "used" to my old account and accidentally logged into it and it said that I had new messages from a user since he/she redirected my user page, and I didn't want him to. Class I Laser ZAP! Boom! 21:31, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- When you are renamed, your old subpages are automatically moved. I was going through after and mass-deleting the redirects, but I think you might have recreated them after I deleted them. bibliomaniac15 22:58, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello
Answer to my previous posts please. Also, can you install Lupin's Anti-Vandal Tool on my page. I already added the userbox THanks WaveRunner85 (talk) 23:30, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Hey
I added it to monobook js. I can't find the toolbox. Is it on the same page after I refresh? Also, how do I change my wikimood? Thanks WaveRunner85 (talk) 23:55, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- You know where the search bar is where you search stuff on Wikipedia? Go below it and look for a box called "Toolbox." Then, you should see the categories. To change your mood, go to User:WaveRunner85/Wikimood, click edit. Then, there should be:
{{|style="background:none; text-align:center"
|style="width:500px"|{{CalendarCustom}}
|style="width:280px" rowspan="3"|{{WM|mood=05|size=240px}}
|-
|
|}}
Go to the
{|WM|mood=05|size=250px}}
In the Mood section after the equal, change your mood from -10 to 10. The number must have 2 digits. Ex: 1 = 01 and 2 = 02. Hopefully this helps. Class I Laser ZAP! Boom! 00:08, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Adoption/Lupin
Class I Laser I want you to adopt me, also I want you to talk to an admin about my rollback rights. I was on LUpin Anti Vandal and I went to this persons talk page then clicked recent Ip edits, then toggle these deatails. This user made a few edit mistakes ,can i revert them from there or do I have to go to the page. Also ontop of my first userbox theres a bracket, can you delete it? Is it possible for 2 people to adopt me? Thanks.
WaveRunner85 (talk) 22:02, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- You need at least some experience (around 80 counts of vandalism reverted) fighting vandalism before you can request rollback rights from an admin. Check out Wikipedia:Rollback_feature for information about rollback rights and you can apply for rollback rights here.
- You need to go to the page to revert the user's edits using Lupin's anti-vandal tool.
- With adoption, there only needs to be one adopter as I meet the adopter's requirements and I don't need a co-adopter
By the way GandalftheWise vandalized my userpage and I have given him a warning. Class I Laser ZAP! Boom! 22:29, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Sorry.
Listen, I am sorry for the userbox I made but I am really getting annoyed. I showed WaveRunner85 Wikipedia and started him off. Then you came in and totally took over. Why do you think you have the right to adopt him; just because you have more edits than me (on your userpage), but realize I have been on Wikipedia for a month longer than you and that technically means that I have more experience. Whatever, I really don't care about this, but I am willing to be friends again if you just let me adopt Peter. PLEASE. GandalftheWise : Talk Page 23:23, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- Again, you know the rules. The adoptee has the right to choose his adopter. Check out WP:ADOPT. However, I am willing to compromise and we can co-adopt. Class I Laser ZAP! Boom! 23:27, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Warning Template
No, there isn't. As for mentions of your name, if it happens again, ask an oversight to remove the edit from sight.
The committed identity basically works like this:
- You choose a phrase that you can remember easily and encrypt it.
- If your account is compromised, you send your phrase over to a trusted individual.
- That individual runs the phrase through the encryptor and checks it with the code you have.
- If it matches, chances are you are who you claim.
bibliomaniac15 23:52, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, yes, I get this question quite a lot. You are relatively new; you have much more to do before gaining sufficient experience for adminship. Just don't think about adminship, think more about editing and bettering the encyclopedia and interacting positively with others and you will be a fine editor. My advice to you in the meantime is that you could use more edit summaries, work on more articles, and fight more vandals. In time you will experience many events, good or bad, make several mistakes, which you will learn from, and become more knowledgeable in the way things work here. bibliomaniac15 16:40, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
- The rollback counts as a mainspace edit, and the warning a user talk edit. As for Awesome Wikipedian, I can see but not guarantee. bibliomaniac15 00:59, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Editing
How do I revert vadalism? Go to random pages and users and look at their edits. Give me some ideas> Thanks WaveRunner85 (talk) 22:29, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- Well, you can use Lupin's anti-vandal tool. Go to Recent IP Edits, and click Toggle These Details once that orange box appears. Then, look for vandalism on pages. You can spot it because there will most likely be cuss words or page blankings. Look for the difference between the original and new version. Anything added will be in red. Any text removed will be boxed in yellow. Then, click the hist. button to look at the history. Then click "Compare these details". After that, if it's vandalism, click the undo button. Then, give the IP address a warning by going to WP:WARN and putting a template on their talk page, under the section heading May 2009 or June 2009, whenever the vandalism was committed. Hope this helps, got to eat dinner. Be back in 30 minutes. Wireless Keyboard Click! Clack! 22:35, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism
You have reverted this [2] and described it as vandalism. I don't think it is, if you look at the history of this user they seem to making (very bad, completely incorrect) good faith additions in poor English rather than deliberately vandalising the page. They seem ignorant rather than malicious. Grcaldwell (talk) 17:09, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- Does baby shampoo have anything to with an animal? It seems like something that doesn't follow NPOV. I use the "Rollback VANDAL" button because it actually loads the talk page. Using TW's Rollback button asks you for an optional edit summary and tells you if you roll back more then 1 edit. --Wireless Keyboard Click! Clack! 20:48, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- No, baby shampoo is a bad idea for chinchillas, but the contributer was trying to make the argument that it's better than the usual dust baths, which is wrong but not malicious, the edits seemed the sort of thing a young kid who liked chinchillas and spoke bad english would produce, he'd randomly popped other comments in about them being sweet and monkey-like etc and that's the only article he's edited. Beta
SoWhy said this on my talk page, in case you haven't seen:
The beta uses a new skin called "Vector". You need to have the entries of monobook.js in your vector.js. Also, you might have to check "Compatibility function to run scripts only tested on Monobook on the new Vector skin. Required for using Twinkle or Friendly (along with many other scripts) with the Vector skin." in My Preferences => Gadgets.
I might add that the devs may be planning to introduce Vector as the new default skin. Personally, I don't like it; it's a bit sloppy and not as professional-looking as monobook. bibliomaniac15 23:01, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Help
{{helpme}}Will all of my existing javascripts that I used in Monobook work in Beta? For example, Qui and Lupin's don't work yet. Don't know about Twinkle, doesn't work on I8. Any solution? --► Wireless Keyboard ◄ 18:59, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- What do you mean? Do they not work now, is there some problem? Do you mean, if you change skin, if you use beta? Any particular script? Please give us some more details and reinstate the help request, thanks. Chzz ► 21:02, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well, some of the javascripts in beta work, but most of them do not. --► Wireless Keyboard ◄ 14:30, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- It is a beta version, therefore, please discuss it in the links, as explained in the end of the page Special:UsabilityInitiativeOptIn. Chzz ► 14:37, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
In your Preferences, click on the Gadgets pane and underneath the heading "Library and compatibility gadgets," check the second option. Twinkle, and a few other tools still function with the new skin. –blurpeace (talk) 15:28, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
