Hi Will, this editor has demonstrated excessive disruptive behavior at Southern Adventist University, and other editors have commented on his behavior at ANI. This is an alternate account: do you know if this editor was disruptive or topic banned at the previous account? Thanks! Lionel (talk) 06:06, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Reverting edits under discussion on MMY
[edit]I 've noticed that on two recent occasions you have reverted edits while they were under discussion, and today you have made significant changes to the article on a topic under discussion.
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Maharishi_Mahesh_Yogi&diff=428692946&oldid=428677324 http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Maharishi_Mahesh_Yogi&diff=421715119&oldid=421566533 http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Maharishi_Mahesh_Yogi&diff=428896425&oldid=428825172
To many editors this would appear to be an act of WP:OWNERSHIP or a show of aggression that could contribute to an atmosphere of edit warring, especially on a contentious article that's been to arbitration like this one. If every editor on the talk page were to adopt your approach, then each editor would revert after posting on the talk page without waiting for a reply or consensus. This would surely create an edit war and nobody would want that. So far the other editors on the talk page have been patient and have not reverted you or others while those edits are under discussion. Also I see on the talk page that this was already brought to your attention by User Keithbob a few weeks ago.

So with that in mind I politely ask if you will show more respect for the discussion process and refrain from doing this in the future. I look forward to working together to improve the encyclopedia. Thanks! Spicemix (talk) 16:44, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
- Regarding your reply on my user page which said: "I'm not sure why you're addressing it to me. Many editors of that article make "unilateral" edits and engage in reverts.[1] There are active discussions on the talk page, and we're all working towards a better article. If you want to prohibit reverts, please set the example you want others to follow." You refer to "many editors" but you cite only one edit by user:Bigweeboy which I reverted and stated my objection to on the same talk page thread, where you were active. Your edits, on the other hand, are a bit more disconcerting since the disruptive editing was brought to your attention by another editor on the page already and you continued anyway. In addition I see from your user page that this is not the first time editors have expressed concern about a tendency towards WP:OWNERSHIP [2] [3] both on and off the TM series of articles, so this may be something you want to consider carefully. Thanks again for your attention to this matter and I'm glad we can work together towards a better article. Spicemix (talk) 04:26, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
Kindly check out the new article which I wrote (without involving any copied material). Regards,

Consistency in BLPs of Radio Talk Show Hosts
[edit]Hi Will, I saw that you moved the recent controversial statement made by Mike Malloy to The Mike Malloy Show. Would you support the moving of controversial statements by Rush Limbaugh out of his BLP and into The Rush Limbaugh Show article, and similarly would you support keeping out controversial statements made by Mark Levin from his BLP? Darkstar1st
[edit]Re: Your comment here [4]
It is Darkstar1st's schtick to make very POINT-Y edits. Almost universally his attempted "analogous" edits are a very poor analogy and quite disruptive. I've had very baffling interactions with the user; I wish you luck. BigK HeX (talk) 16:05, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
As one example: I once informed him that I thought him pulling material from multiple different sources and then engaging in his own personal research to reach a conclusion that the concepts were "the same" amounted to WP:OR. He responded with something along the lines of, if you think those sources are incorrect, I will delete them from all of the Wikipedia articles.[5]. BigK HeX (talk) 16:14, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

In response to your post, how much more notable does it need to be? I'm wondering because you have millions of articles on here and it is a national campaign that has received media coverage.

Ocean acidification misunderstandings with chemistry, carbon, and the usage of organic and inorganic ...
[edit]How do I get an editor who understands the difference between organic (carbon in molecule) and inorganic in Chemistry, and "organic" and inorganic"'s other current means in the article Ocean acidification. Two editors are editing the article inaccurately to say "inorganic carbon cycle", which is impossible as a carbon cycle would have carbon in some molecules. Is there a list of editors to call-in who understand this? If you don't know, do you know who might? 99.43.139.176 (talk) 02:09, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
