Spencer Hughes (audio engineer)

[edit]

Hi, and congratulations on your first article, Spencer Hughes (audio engineer). I've done the following:

  • Added a category Loudspeaker manufacturers, then deleted it when I found no people were listed there, only companies.
  • Just above list of cats added {{DEFAULTSORT:Hughes, Spencer}} to ensure it's listed alphabetically by surname in all its categories.
  • Searched for all instances of "Spendor" and if relevant Wikilinked by surrounding them by double square brackets.
  • Created a redirect from Spendor to Spencer Hughes (audio engineer). To see the syntax, search for Spendor, then at the head of your new page you'll see "Redirected from Spendor". Click on that to see syntax, and note that I gave it a category; not often done but I think appropriate in this case so it's listed in the Category along with other brandnames between Sony and Steinway.

There's no guarantee the article will not be listed for deletion (AfD); more high-quality references will help. It won't hurt to add one of those graphics, more information on the company etc. Doug butler (talk) 22:25, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Spencer Hughes (audio engineer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Harbeth (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:00, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Bang (engineer) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Peter Bang (engineer), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I'm working here more than three years, there was no warning when I choosed the name. You can see above I was welcomed with this name! Additionally I'm from Germany, I started there and this no problem there. Wiki does not automatically mean Wikipedia, there are many wikis on earth ... And please consider the meaning of German word Sympathsiant, too. I didn't do any vandalism and didn't have any block since the start, so I' m not interested in a change of name. Please accept the history. Furthermore I checked the link you sent, can't find a violation, either. KR --Wikisympathisant (talk) 12:45, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
