[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page MetroCard (New York City) has been reverted.
Your edit here to MetroCard (New York City) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://metrocardcentral.webs.com) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:13, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to MetroCard (New York City). Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 20:45, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to MetroCard (New York City). It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. — Scientizzle 19:01, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

below this notice instead. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 19:41, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Request reason:
WikiMetrocardCentral is not a Website & satisfies all the UserName Rules. Wikimetrocardcentral (talk) 20:02, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Metrocard Central, though, apparently is a website, at least according to the links you've been trying to add to Wikipedia. You'll need to select a name that doesn't sound like you represent that company/website. In addition, whatever your username, you are not permitted to spam Wikipedia. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

It's probably a bit unnecessarily confrontational, but I may be overreacting. We'll see what other admins say. In the meantime, Here are a few key questions:
- Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
- Do you understand conflict of interest?
- Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?
You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 20:47, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
My requested name says it all, "Think B4U speak". My LINK that I added to METROCARD was intended to add important, viable, information relating to the history of the Metrocard. The web-site & the information on it does NOT advertise or promote anyone or anything other then to add helpful additional information that is not currently listed in the METROCARD article. This information would be of interest to those looking for a History & or reference for the different Metrocards that have been released over the Years [18 years]. As stated, this information is not currently listed within METROCARD on Wikipedia & is also not listed anywhere else on the Internet [In this concise format.], to my knowledge. Also, the LINK I added to a location that includes several other Links that are almost exactly the same as my LINK [Personal Web-Sites that provide additional information on Metrocards.]. Why is this Link [Web-Site] being deleted when the other Links listed already are of the exact same type??? If the competency of the administrators on this site, is such that they consistently act to simply abuse their authority without even examining the submissions or even fully understanding their own rules then you are correct. I am not meant to be here & waste my time on trying to add to & improve the content on this site. Think B4U speak
- The fact that there are other links is irrelevant, as I've already said, what matters is you and your intententions here. When a new user starts doing nothing but adding one link repeatedly, that's spamming, regardless of the link--Jac16888 Talk 16:42, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
