File permission problem with File:Daniel_Owen_Stolpe_Four_Horseman_of_the_apocalypse.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Daniel_Owen_Stolpe_Four_Horseman_of_the_apocalypse.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 19:32, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
Feedback archived
[edit]Hi there.
A while ago, you requested feedback in WP:FEED. Because it has been a while, and you'd received at least some response there, I have now archived the replies in Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/Archive/27. Please do not edit that page though; if you require further feedback, add a new request on WP:FEED.
I am trying to clear the backlogs; it would help us a lot if you could look at the requests from other users on WP:FEED and add any comments to help them out. Anyone can respond there, so please do take a look, and comment on the articles from other people.
If you want help with anything at all, you could either;
- Leave a message on my own talk page;
OR
- Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end;
OR
- Talk to us live, with this or this.
The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Best, Chzz ► 03:10, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Overlinking
[edit]Hi, just wanted to let you know that your article Joe Funk (Artist/Printmaker) has too many links. In particular, words with obvious meanings do not need to be linked. Also, please make sure that each link does not link to a disambiguation page. Thanks for your cooperation. –Schmloof (talk · contribs) 03:45, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Joe Funk Carved Rock 1.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Joe Funk Carved Rock 1.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:27, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
This is so complicated that I'm finding it difficult to participate. I don't know where or how to comment on comments or respond to a comment about a comment or what the guidelines are for submitting comments or requesting a comment. In addition to this, it's very difficult to navigate this process. I give up. I did the best I could. I don't have the time or the energy to unravel the Rubik's Cube of wikipedia. I followed all of the instructions. Sorry. Make it a little easier and I'll participate but, until then I'm out. Go ahead and delete whatever you want. I don't understand any of this.
