If you find typos you are unsure how to fix, please tell me! I can probably fix them, but I won't always be able to respond quickly. Oh, and if you want to just say high, that is fine. Just, please no swearing or insults, etc.. These things, in any form, will not be tolerated by me.

Wikiffeine, you are invited to the Teahouse!

Welcome Wikiffeine!

Hello Wikiffeine. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!

I'm Pdebee, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
  Introduction to Wikipedia
  The five pillars of Wikipedia
  Editing tutorial
  How to edit a page
  Simplified Manual of Style
  The basics of Wikicode
  How to develop an article
  How to create an article
  Help pages
  What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Dos and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't commit vandalism
  Don't get blocked
If you need further help, you can:
  Ask a question
or you can:
  Get help at the Teahouse
or even:
Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks

Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates
Subscribe and contribute to The Signpost

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Sincerely, Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(become old-fashioned!) 16:22, 23 June 2020 (UTC)   (Leave me a message)[reply]

Thank you for the welcome! And thank you for the link to the Manual of Style; I was looking for it. I'll look over those articles that need copy editing. Happy copy editing! From Wikiffeine •‿• 14:31, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, thank you for joining! There's some more information near the top of our main page if you want more information. All the best -- puddleglum2.0 22:23, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes

[edit]

Hi Wikiffeine! I noticed you were asking how to organize your userboxes. There's a convenient template for storing them all which you can find here. For an example of what it looks like, you can check out my user page and view the source of it to see how the template is organized. It's at the very top of my user page source. If you have any questions, feel free to respond! 0qd (talk) 00:28, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, 0qd! I've been wanting to organize the userboxes. Wikiffeine •‿• 00:32, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Perhaps I should mention that my user page source is a rather bad example for the template; I used it in an abnormal way. As long as you follow the template instructions on the page I linked, you should be fine. 0qd (talk) 00:37, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, I'm fine. The main problem is that, I couldn't find the templates in userpages before (how ever obvious it was), but the instructions worked. Thank you! Wikiffeine •‿• 00:49, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Because you thanked me

[edit]
Wikiffeine, you thanked me for one of my recent edits, so here is a heart-felt...
 YOU'RE WELCOME!
It's a pleasure, and I hope you have a lot of fun while you edit this inspiring encyclopedia phenomenon! DoebLoggs (talk)

Yes, thank you for reverting that edit! The page had been getting vandalized, so I thank you for helping me undo the vandalism! Wikiffeine •‿• 12:35, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
