If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on 2002 Football League First Division play-off Final/GA1 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~ Amkgp 💬 02:06, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on 24K Magic World Tour/GA1 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Intel Corp. Investment Policy Comm. v. Sulyma moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Intel Corp. Investment Policy Comm. v. Sulyma, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks, but...
[edit]Thank you for your GA review on Serious Sam: The Random Encounter. Reviews can be a lot of work, so I generally appreciate people doing them for articles I wrote, but this one appears to have been hastily done, with all criteria apparently checked in 25 minutes, the time it just needs to read the article attentively. I, in no way, want to underestimate your capabilities but I checked your recent contributions, and it appears to you are rather new, with just some 60 edits on record.
Among these edits are two further GA reviews (24K Magic World Tour for MarioSoulTruthFan and 2002 Football League First Division play-off Final for The Rambling Man), which display a similar situation to mine. User456541 and Amkgp even tagged them for speedy deletion. In other edits, you seem to be adding unsourced content, breaking an important guideline you should have previously known exists, since you reviewed three articles for their verifiability.
This begs the question: Are you sure you know what you are doing? Being new is not a crime, but you might want to consider getting to know Wikipedia's guidelines first before reviewing other articles' qualities. A good starting point would be WP:Tutorial. Please let me know should you need anything else. Regards, IceWelder [✉] 10:01, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
- The editors of all three reviewed articles have independently withdrawn the reviews. If you intend to review further articles in the future, please make sure you know Wikipedia's central guidelines and follow the basic GA reviewers' guide. Regards, IceWelder [✉] 14:09, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Formatting advice
[edit]Hi there. I saw your request at the Teahouse, and while I'm not well versed enough in law, I can give you some general tips about formatting:
- Only use one blank line between paragraphs. Extra lines creates an extra large space, which we want to avoid.
- Section headings should be in sentence case (MOS:HEADINGS).
- Generally, only the first instance of a word should be linked (MOS:DUPLINK). Similarly, you can avoid repeating "United States" after the first instance of "United States Supreme Court" since it's unambiguous which Supreme Court we're referring to.
- We want to avoid bare URLs (WP:BAREURLS) because of link rot, meaning that the website could be inaccessible in the future. Using the cite web form at the top of the editor (Cite -> Template -> cite web) solves this problem.
- This applies to talk pages, but please indent your replies with a colon (:), as you'll se others do at the Teahouse. You can indent further by adding more colons. It makes it easier for users to keep track of who's replying to who.
These formatting pointers are things I've picked up along the way. Hopefully they help you in your future editing too. ◢ Ganbaruby! (Say hi!) 15:07, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Problem with your custom signature
[edit]You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you. 18:03, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
