Speedy deletion nomination of OBERON
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on OBERON requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. G S Palmer (talk) 14:04, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
The article Monk James has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable video game producer: article written in un-encyclopedic style.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. G S Palmer (talk) 14:08, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Problems
[edit]One - Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia. Articles are not written in a conversational way, and the use of 'I' (or 'we' and even 'you') should by avoided. Two - Articles should be about subjects that are notable. For companies, the policy is WP:CORP. The notability should be proved by referring to reliable independent sources (WP:RS). (That's reliable AND independent, not OR.) I'm afraid that a company only set up in March isn't likely to have got there yet. Three - Wikipedia 'Lost of...' pages aren't exhaustive lists of everything in that area. They're a way of finding articles here, a sort of index feature. Sorry about this, but it's the way we work. If you find any other article written as yours was, and also unreferenced, let us know. Our new page and recent edit patrollers do a great job, but they sometimes miss things. Good luck with the game, and maybe we'll see the company back here one day. By then, it should be someone else that writes the article - we prefer things not to be written be those who are very closely involved (WP:COI). Peridon (talk) 16:56, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

Your draft article, User:Wickedhangover/Monk James
[edit]Hello Wickedhangover. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Monk James".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Wickedhangover/Monk James}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 15:40, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
