Requesting help
I am a probationary AFC reviewer and before that I was an IP editor since 2016. At the AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bilqees Khanum, user Fram played a contradictory role and took me to WP:ANI. I request you to guide me. Twinkle1990 (talk) 14:43, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
- As I have explained quite a few times by now, I did not take you to ANI, an IP did, and I already denied being that IP. I have no qualms about starting ANI discussions using my account, no reason why I would do it as an IP now (or why I would deny it if I was logged out by mistake). Fram (talk) 15:11, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know why you would pick me to guide you. I am not particularly involved in ANI, nor have I signed up for doing any mentoring. I will provide this advice for ANI (and it applies more generally). Be truthful, upfront and transparent in your posts. No wikilawyering. If you are starting a post with something like "Well, technically I didn't..." then you in fact are guilty of whatever it is you think you aren't guilty of. Most important of all, own up to your mistakes, and create a plan to fix them, and not make them again. I will also ask you to withdraw your accusation that Fram initiated the ANI as an IP. SOCK|sockpuppetry is a serious allegation, that requires evidence and I see none. I'm fairly certain that Fram would have no qualms about initiating an ANI with their name on it. -- Whpq (talk) 17:56, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Favi
Good day Whpq i consider you as one of the administrator that does the right thing on wikipedia this article on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favi was proposed for deletion but the article meets all the standards for notability as said on WP:NGRS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Nigeria/Nigerian_sources for articles written from reliable sources several notable newspapers and Magazines that meet up with WP:NGRS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Nigeria/Nigerian_sources standards of notability and importance have articles on this living person thats the only reason i wrote the article i do not see any reason why he was nominated for deletion please i would love if you look into is as your point are always unbiased. Digitalageohio (talk) 13:28, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- The article is listed at Articles for Deletion, and is not a Proposed Deletion. You have come here asking for me to do something in my role as an administrator, but there is no administrator action to be taken until it is time to close the AFD, and I normally do not close AFDs. To have the article kept, you will need to address the concerns outlined in the nomination and "delete" opinions. -- Whpq (talk) 14:11, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Whpq,
I just saw that you responded to a query on my talk page (here) in late May. You gave a very thorough answer and I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to address the editor's concerns. I get an awful lot of traffic on my User talk page and I guess I missed it when it was first posted. Thank you for being a very helpful talk page stalker! Liz Read! Talk! 07:37, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

Branksome Hall copyvio
Hi, you kindly revdelled Branksome Hall after I flagged it for copyvio. Could you have another look? Editor (under another username) has re-added info. I'm nearing 3RR with this so reluctant to do further reversions. Many thanks for your help. Tacyarg (talk) 14:31, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
- Obvious copyright violations are exempted from 3RR, but it is never wrong to be extra careful in doing multiple reverts. I've reverted the copied material and applied revdel again. -- Whpq (talk) 14:42, 13 July 2023 (UTC)

Drafted Article
Good day @Whpq hope you having nice day an article i created was moved into draft space by an administrator knowing fully well the article meets with wikipedia standards for notability and importance i do not know if this was done out of hate or detest but all the articles used for citation met with WP:NGRS and he still moved it to draft space the Nigerian musician is known worldwide and has a lot of fans in Nigeria which was his country of birth i write to you with this plea because i find you as one of the most unbiased admins here on wikipedia. Digitalageohio (talk) 17:45, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
- You don't say which article. I assume you are referring to Draft:Stainless (singer). That was moved to draft space by User:Reading Beans who is not an administrator (nor does that really matter in any case). You should retract the accusations of
this was done out of hate or detest
and assume the move was done in good faith. I see you have not communicated with Reading Beans. That is the very first step in resolving an issue. Note that you moved the article to Wikipedia space. That is not where articles go, so I have reverted your move. Note that you can move it to article space per WP:DRAFTOBJECT, but you should also be prepared for the article to be nominated for deletion. -- Whpq (talk) 17:55, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

the page you deleted was recreated with a new name
Hey, you have deleted this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WIBA_Awards but it was reuploaded into Wikipedia by the same user under the name https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Influencers_and_Bloggers_Awards. I think it is even more (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion). 2603:7000:62F0:6A0:4521:19A5:ACA:A33D (talk) 12:11, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
- The new article is not a copyvio as farvas I can tell, and isnt overtly promotional. -- Whpq (talk) 05:19, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
Deletion of my recent DRAFT IYNNX
The draft was incomplete therefore it shouldn't have been deleted. You had no right deleting it.
Everything mentioned within that article was correct and FACTUAL from head to toe. No word of a lie was used. I know of IYNX for a while yet we share no special connection, however I take this personally as this article was incompleted therefore you had no right to delete it. I am also fairly new to wikipedia and i haven't saved my changes so I have lost 5 hours of my time working on an article for you to troll and delete it in 20 seconds im guessing. Illuminatius (talk) 19:00, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not an advertising platform. Your draft was entirely promotional, and filled with puffery such as "IYNX crafted a sound that defies traditional boundaries" to the point where it met the criteria for speedy deletion as it would need a complete rewrite to become an encyclopedia article. You are welcome to make another attempt at an article without all the excess superlatives. Writing an article from scratch is one of the most difficult tasks for somebody new to Wikipedia. Help:Your first article provides some advice on how to approach this. As a new editor, you may also want to get assistance from the Tea House where you can get answers to your editing questions from more experienced editors. -- Whpq (talk) 19:51, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
Hi Whpq, thanks for looking at the revdel request I made for this article. Happy to go with your decision, but wanted to highlight that it wasn't the bibliography that concerned me but the copy/paste of the Grants and Awards section from the person's CV. I realise that a list of publications is just that and cannot be copyrightable, but the academic career stuff seemed more of an issue. Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 19:13, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for contacting me. I've had another look. The grants and awards are exhaustive lists of the formal titles or names of awards with some dollar amounts added so I don't think that is sufficient to give rise to copyrighted material. It surely does not belong in the article but there is no need to revdel. -- Whpq (talk) 20:55, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – August 2023
News and updates for administrators from the past month (July 2023).
Interface administrator changes
- The tag filter on Special:NewPages and revision history pages can now be inverted. This allows hiding edits made by automated tools. (T334338)
- Special:BlockedExternalDomains is a new tool that allows easier blocking of plain domains (and their subdomains). This is more easily searchable and is faster for the software to use than the existing MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist. It does not support regex (for complex cases), URL path-matching, or the MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist. (T337431)
- The arbitration cases named Scottywong and AlisonW closed 10 July and 16 July respectively.
- The SmallCat dispute arbitration case is in the workshop phase.
Violation Of Rights
Good day @Whpq @Reading Beans has nominated the page you reviewed and said it meets wikipedia standards for notability. its what he nominated for deletion i do not understand the page meet up with wikipedia standards for notability and neutrality and he still went ahead to nominate it for deletion. - Apologies @Whpq Restlezz (musician) is the article you moved to draft space and asked me i add more additional citations from newspapers then you reviewed it and approved it but now @Reading Beans nominated it for deletion avoiding all proofs to show that the article meets up with wikipedia standards for notability and neutrality. Digitalageohio (talk) 12:57, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- I did not review and approve the article. What I did was decline a speedy deletion request of A7. All that means is that the article exceeded the very low bar of a credible assertion of importance. It is not in any way an endorsement of notability on my part nor is there any "violation of rights" by the nomination of the article for deletion. -- Whpq (talk) 02:20, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

RD1 scope
I noticed that you declined RD1 on John Carroll University because the revdel was too disruptive to the page history. Is there any rule of thumb or unwritten guideline I should follow when I'm considering an RD1 request that includes many revisions over a long period of time? I don't want to waste anyone's time with requests that are unlikely to be actioned. — SamX [talk · contribs] 03:00, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- No, there is no hard and fast rule. Do continue to tag for revdel. It is not a waste of time, and it doesn't happen that often. -- Whpq (talk) 03:47, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

Possible mistake?
Hello! I was perusing Category:Candidates for speedy deletion out of boredom after submitting a recent request and noticed you nominated the draft Draft:Manso Amenfi Senior High School for speedy deletion under G12. I'm assuming this may have been a mistake since you are an admin and it doesn't appear to have a copyvio - so I wanted to give you a heads up. I apologize if I'm missing something, though, and feel free to trout me if I am! Cheers! —Sirdog (talk) 04:41, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- If you look at the article history, you will see that the author has changed the wording of the article since it was tagged for speedy deletion. I am not convinced that the changes are enough. They have essentially used synonyms for words and phrases to substitute into the original text so the article is still structurally identical. -- Whpq (talk) 12:25, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the quick reply! Though, I am confused. I did review the page history, and I still don't see the violation in the revision where you applied the tag. I interpret what was present in that revision to fall under WP:LIMITED, given the hits are for "World Bank", "Government of Ghana", and "Community Day Senior High Schools". I also don't see an issue with the structure of the article itself, given that the draft is so small and the offending website being a minimalistic "About" page. Forgive me if I am being ignorant on a policy here, but if this is a copyright violation, I'd like to learn the principle of it so I don't let it slip when reviewing new pages or articles for creation in the future. —Sirdog (talk) 22:08, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- This editor has done the same thing with this and other articles. He has copied altered the source text with a substitution of phrases or synonyms to reword. This makes it a derivative work of a copyrighted source. I've moved to the copyright investigation queue instead, and added an example of why I believe it is a copyvio on the draft's talk page. Others may disagree but listing it there will have another set of eyes to review it. -- Whpq (talk) 13:30, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Erica Gies page
Hi, I am Erica Gies, journalist and author. I'm part of an effort to bring more women journalists' pages onto Wikipedia. So I wrote the material on my website that I pulled from for the Wikipedia page. I see you deleted my page for copyright infringement. First, I don't think the material on my website is copyrighted, other that my articles published elsewhere. Second, if it is subject to copyright, I hold the copyright. Could you please restore my page? Best, Erica Gies QuercusCA (talk) 00:29, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- Published material is copyright by default even if there is no copyright notice on the web site. As the author, you can release the material under an acceptably free license. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. You should also take note of Wikipedia:Autobiography. -- Whpq (talk) 00:57, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Whpq,
- Thanks for highlighting the Autobiography page for me. I am part of a group of women journalists who are trying to create bio pages for each other to raise the profile of women journalists. I was thinking of this as a starting point that would help with that, since I know more stuff about my career than the others do. But I guess I shouldn't. Since you intervened on the page I tried to create, does that mean it's gone? Or do I need to go somewhere to remove it?
- Best,
- QuercusCA QuercusCA (talk) 15:44, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- The aricle is gone in the sense that it is not accessible to readers or regular editors. The article is not gone in that administrators can access it, and restore it if there is a valid request to do so. Having said that, even if the text is released under a free license, the article reads more like a resume than an encyclopedia article. It probably would be best written from scratch by an uninvolved editor. -- Whpq (talk) 17:18, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Whpq,
- OK, can we delete it entirely then? If it's not useful I'd rather not have it kicking around. Thanks for educating me about this.
- Best,
- QuercusCA QuercusCA (talk) 19:14, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- It is considered deleted. The copy that is retained is not removed from the servers but is otherwise not accessible unless there is a real need which there isn't right now. -- Whpq (talk) 19:23, 21 August 2023 (UTC)

A question on non-free image
Hello Whpq! Are files File:Everton FC Crest (2000–13).svg and File:Everton FC Crest (2013–14).svg meet the requests of WP:NFCCP, inparticular what consern "Contextual significance"? I always though that non free files shold be used at top of the articles (or into an infobox) as it said in "Purpouse of use" field of the "Non-free use rationale logo" template, quote: "The image is placed in the infobox at the top of the article discussing Everton F.C., a subject of public interest". Can you clarify me this aspect? Thanks, and sorry for bothering you. Andriy.v (talk) 20:50, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
- Non-free images can appear anywhere in an article so long as it is appropriate. In the case of these two logos, the boiler plate purpose isn't actually how they are used. They are being used to show the crests that were a result of redesign controversy and used in a section specifically about those crests. The purpose in the non-free usage rationales need to be changed to reflect this purpose. If you feel that this still wouldn't meet contextual significance, then you can nominate them at WP:FFD. -- Whpq (talk) 04:58, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

New pages patrol newsletter
Hello Whpq,
Backlog update: At the time of this message, there are 11,300 articles and 15,600 redirects awaiting review. This is the highest backlog in a long time. Please help out by doing additional reviews!
October backlog elimination drive: A one-month backlog drive for October will start in one week! Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled. Articles will earn 4x as many points compared to redirects. You can sign up here.
PageTriage code upgrades: Upgrades to the PageTriage code, initiated by the NPP open letter in 2022 and actioned by the WMF Moderator Tools Team in 2023, are ongoing. More information can be found here. As part of this work, the Special:NewPagesFeed now has a new version in beta! The update leaves the NewPagesFeed appearance and function mostly identical to the old one, but updates the underlying code, making it easier to maintain and helping make sure the extension is not decommissioned due to maintenance issues in the future. You can try out the new Special:NewPagesFeed here - it will replace the current version soon.
Notability tip: Professors can meet WP:PROF #1 by having their academic papers be widely cited by their peers. When reviewing professor articles, it is a good idea to find their Google Scholar or Scopus profile and take a look at their h-index and number of citations. As a very rough rule of thumb, for most fields, articles on people with a h-index of twenty or more, a first-authored paper with more than a thousand citations, or multiple papers each with more than a hundred citations are likely to be kept at AfD.
Reviewing tip: If you would like like a second opinion on your reviews or simply want another new page reviewer by your side when patrolling, we recommend pair reviewing! This is where two reviewers use Discord voice chat and screen sharing to communicate with each other while reviewing the same article simultaneously. This is a great way to learn and transfer knowledge.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Page Patrol Discord.

Docu Athan was deleted
I understand that this will lead you to another site, so I will remove all links, so could you reinstate them? Bewlaybrothers0 (talk) 13:51, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- No. The article was a copyright violation and will not be restored. -- Whpq (talk) 13:54, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- Which part constitutes copyright infringement? Bewlaybrothers0 (talk) 14:05, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- The part where you copied the material directly from the DocuAthan web site. -- Whpq (talk) 14:06, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- I understood. thank you.
- I will be changed to something other than a quote, so please cancel the deletion. Bewlaybrothers0 (talk) 23:02, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- It was not a quote. You will need to write it from scratch. Copyright violations are not restored as they contravene policy. -- Whpq (talk) 02:09, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

re: your comment there, please see: [6]
it sure ain't plagiarism, and the article wasn't even 5 hours old as I was preparing to take a second pass on it to tighten things up, as I typically do soibangla (talk) 18:02, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- The article included close paraphrasing including text that was word for word identical to the source. You must write articles in your own words. It is not acceptable to copy stuff and then "tighten things up". If that is what you are doing, then you need to stop and change how you write articles because copyright violations in intermediate versions are still copyright violations. -- Whpq (talk) 18:07, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
Copyright violation question
Hello! A few minutes ago, you removed copyrighted violations from Killing of journalists in Gaza (October 2023). Earlier, A user put a copyright violation tag on the article, but I thought I corrected the mistakes, which left only places/names are being identified, with a 13% comeback on the c/v check, which seemed valid given the article mentioned several locations and names. A few minutes ago, you removed them at the request of another user (who somewhat accused me of not fixing the problem). Could you let me know what the copyright violation(s) were that were not just names/location/common phrases? The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 19:53, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your inquiry. After further review, there is even more close paraphrasing from this article that I have removed. From inception, the article has had substantial copied content from that source. The best thing would have been to delete it and start from scratch without the copyright violations. Now we have an article with only a history log without exact diffs for the additions because of the need to revision delete the versions with copyrighted content. Note that copyvio tool is not a pass/fail test so even if it comes back with a result of unliklely, that is not a guarantee there isn't close paraphrasing. -- Whpq (talk) 02:53, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- Ah that makes sense. Thank you for replying! I'm trying to get better at correcting copyright violations I discover, so knowing it isn't a true pass/fail test is really helpful. Thank you! The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 04:59, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
Cancersign9/sandbox CSD decline
Hi, I noticed you converted the CSD nomination of Cancersign9/sandbox to a redirect to draft. I think that it should still be deleted since it's in article space and so now a cross namespace redirect and not in user space, as it appears at first glance. Thanks. Skynxnex (talk) 13:47, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- Oops. Thank you for pointing that out. My brain stuck a "user:" in front of all that which is is totally a fiction of my mind. I've deleted it G6 which I should have done originally. -- Whpq (talk) 13:53, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- Cool. Very easy to do; thanks! Skynxnex (talk) 13:55, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
HeDPAC
that you very much for your comments. I assure you and the community that in my haste, I have made a few honest mistakes.
my objective is to create awareness to HeDPAC as a cross regional platform to improve healthcare. I am very new to wikipedia and in my limited understanding, I assumed that because it is not a profit based incentive, it would be safe to create awareness here.
I fear I may have been wrong. I have requested for a username change and I am looking into bringing down the article and if appropriate, bringing it to wikipedia the acceptable way.
thank you for your guidance and patience. HeDPAC (talk) 02:49, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
Could you please help me figure out how to get a page created for the community foundation?
It doesn't have to be the page I created at all. I just want for there to be a page for the organization. I would be happy to have someone else make it if that would be easier. Cudavid (talk) 14:08, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
- Replied on user's talk page. -- Whpq (talk) 14:28, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
I see you deleted this page recently, and its talk page, per Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 October 3#Archery at the 2023 Pacific Games. You might like to note its been created again by a different editor. I am not sure whether the deletion is appropriate given that this is "<country> at <event>" while the deletion discussion was "<sport> at <event>", but I'm not planning to get any further involved.-gadfium 03:52, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for raising this with me. It looks like the original speedy deletion was incorrect. That is my mistake. Given this is a full article being made, there's nothing needed to correct my mistake. AS for what to do with this article, I don't see any big issue with it. The games are going to be held very soon so even if it gets moved to draft, it would be back as an article soon after. -- Whpq (talk) 14:12, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
Copyvio
Hello, I hope you're doing well. User:EranBot has marked or triggered on MasterChef India (Hindi season 8), see here. Can you please look into it. Thanks for your consideration. C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 16:21, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. I likely will not have time to dig into it until late Monday. Whpq (talk) 21:33, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- I had a look at the article, and checked using the Earwig copyvio tool. I suspect that it may have picked up this site as the text on the site matches the lead of the article. You did write the text yourself did you not? -- Whpq (talk) 01:54, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Whpq, I did write the lead section by taking reference from the previous season. The link you shared seems to be a blog that copies from Wikipedia, and to verify that, there are many other series mentioned which articles exist on Wikipedia. So, I can assure you that I am not into copyvio or unconstructive edits. Thank you. C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 03:21, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- I consulted an admin before uploading the files, as the ones you tagged. I take full responsibility for my actions/edits. However, my intention was not to violate copyvio with images. I would like to know/learn how I can save the files from deletion if it's possible. C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 03:30, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- I agree that the web site is scraping text from the web including Wikipedia. This is a case of a reverse copyvio where the the web site has copied Wikipedia without attribution. As for the images, non-free content must meet all of the non-free content criteria. In this case, the issue is WP:NFCC#1. Images of living people almost always fail this criteria as they are considered to be replaceable. It must be the case that not only is there no free images of the people, but also the case that a free one cannot be created. For living people, somebody (not necessarily you) could take a photo and release it under a free license. I'll also note that two of the three judges already have freely licensed images available. -- Whpq (talk) 14:08, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- I agree that the judges have an image uploaded on Wikimedia Commons. However, the file I uploaded here the copyright/ownerships belongs to the streaming platform, so I won't be allowed to upload it on Commons. Is it possible to upload the same file here using the Non-free use rationale template? on that basis. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 14:37, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- No. Because it fails WP:NFCC#1. -- Whpq (talk) 14:45, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- Okay got it. One more query I have what is the difference/purpose Template:Non-free use rationale title-card for infobox and Template:Non-free use rationale, Template:Non-free use rationale 2. I am eager to learn about it. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 14:55, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- The first is a non-free usage rationale (NFUR) designed specifically for use with title cards with standard boilerplate text that would apply to all title cards. The second is a generic NFUR for general purpose use. The third is a newer version the generic NFUR with non-free content criteria explicitly called out in the template display. -- Whpq (talk) 15:09, 24 October 2023 (UTC)

My Three Sons Episode page
Sorry to bother you, but I don't know who else to ask. Do you know why Seasons 10, 11 & 12 are missing from the My Three Sons episode page. The source code is there. This started on June 7th with episode 12 going missing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_My_Three_Sons_episodes#Season_1_(1960%E2%80%9361) Entercontainment (talk) 14:41, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- I do not know. I suspect it has something to do with the templates not behaving properly so you may want to try somebody who is familiar with the technical aspects of the templates being used. -- Whpq (talk) 15:12, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

deletion
Sorry for disturbing, I still don't understand all teh Wikipedia rules, as there is too much information for a newcomer, so I might do something wrong. You've deleted the biography page I've created a week ago, and I'm going to try one more time. It was written that I need to contact you first.
I did not quite understand why the deletion was made, really. No advertising, the bio page of a show business producer, that is why his name is associated with many notable persons and brands. So, I hope everything will be fine this time. YuliyaMSh (talk) 08:07, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- The page was deleted because it was so promotional in nature that it would need a complete rewrite. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not LinkedIn. You may want to read about how to write your first article. Ensure that the wording adheres to a neutral point of view. You can get assistance from the Teahouse if you have questions. You should also declare any conflict of interest as noted in the message on your talk page. -- Whpq (talk) 11:05, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for answering! I’m trying to understand at the moment how to declare conflict of interest. 2A02:BF0:140D:D8F5:10C6:592E:8DE8:C780 (talk) 12:10, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- @YuliyaMSh: You should log in to edit. Editing while logged out means you don't get automatic notificaitons, and exposes your IP address. As for declaring a conflict of interest, see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI. -- Whpq (talk) 13:13, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Declined G7
Hello Whpq,
This G7 that you declined did not assert that the IP range and the registered user were the same person, but rather that both of them requested deletion. The only two authors of substantial content are User:Ss2809 and the WP:/64 range 2600:1700:df4:43a0::/64, and the edit history includes an attempted PROD by Ss2809 and attempted G7 by IP 2600. I believe {{Db-g7|rationale...}} is an acceptable way to do this, as indicated in this discussion: Wikipedia talk:Criteria for speedy deletion/Archive 79#Requested change to G7. Author requests deletion - to allow for multiple authors to do a joint G7. Please reconsider the G7 decline, as it would be unnecessarily bureaucratic to take this to MfD. 24.243.146.249 (talk) 20:08, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
- Whpq, I saw this go by and took the opportunity for a real quick check; I concur with the IP here and will go ahead and delete via G7. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 20:14, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for raising this with me. It looks like @Drmies: has taken care of it. -- Whpq (talk) 02:13, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

Suspected sock return
Formerly MEDREDACHAHIR and KINGREDACHAHIR, both blocked for disruptive edits and sockpuppetry, similar content attempts on the Cloning article made and reverted for account KRC22. Used to be able to do a GeoIP or whois, can't seem to find that option now.Wzrd1 (talk) 16:37, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

Question about revdel at State visit by Charles III to Kenya
Hi there,
Thank you for completing the revdel on State visit by Charles III to Kenya. I realized just now that one revision with the copyvio content still exists (here [7]) as I edited the page before I recognized the copyvios. There's no new copyvio content added in the revision I linked above, but the copyvio content that was added in the already deleted revisions is still visible in that revision, so I figured I should bring it up just to be safe. Totally my bad for not catching it when I added the revdel request template. Thanks for the help! estar8806 (talk) ★ 04:05, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. I have applied revdel to that revision. -- Whpq (talk) 04:11, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
