Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Extinction (Star Trek: Enterprise). An episode of television is not a film. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 13:52, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Swing Your Lady, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.filmaffinity.com/en/film581226.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Your addition to Swing Your Lady has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. I have also removed the plot from The Black Viper. You can not copy plot summaries from anywhere else unless they are freely licensed. They should be written by you from scratch. VernoWhitney (talk) 14:21, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Clockwork Orange

[edit]

I've undone your move, since the book is pretty clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the title, there was no discussion beforehand, and most of the incoming links still pointed at the original title. If you disagree, please start a WP:Requested moves discussion on the talkpage so that we can determine consensus. Thanks. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 16:22, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New categories

[edit]

Hi there. You are creating and awful lot of categories of the type "Depictions of...", awfully fast. Several of them have ungrammatical and/or wrongly capitalized names. You are also miscategorizing some articles. I have proposed several of these categories for renaming at Categories for discussion. But in the meantime, you might want to slow down. Voceditenore (talk) 07:02, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, I noticed you created the category Category:Television episodes Jackie Cooper. I think this would be better named Category:Television episodes by Jackie Cooper, in keeping with the rest of Category:Television episodes by American directors. If you agree, you can fix the relevant articles and we can avoid the rigamarole of Categories for discussion. Thanks! —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 04:27, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Lynch (Director) category

[edit]

Could you place the tag {{db-author}} onto Category:Television episodes by Paul Lynch (Director) since you replaced it with Category:Television episodes by Paul Lynch (director)? That will it will get speedily deleted without having to wait four days for being an empty category. Thanks. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 18:10, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I believe you have improperly named the categories you created for individual televison directors. It should be Category:Television episodes directed by <<director's name>>, not Category:Television episodes by <<director's name>>, which follows along the lines of Category:Films directed by Steven Spielberg, as an example. Because you created so many of these, maybe someone could help you fix that. Thanks. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 22:40, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New categories

[edit]

Please stop creating new categories using incorrect naming conventions. Instead of Category:Television episodes by John Tiffin Patterson, please name them Category:Television episodes directed by John Tiffin Patterson. All the others you have created are going to have to go to a category rename discussion because of this. So, please do it correctly from now on. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 16:05, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you put in a DEFAULTSORT in the category, you then do not need to sort the category. For example, you added {{DEFAULTSORT:Patterson, John Tiffin}} in the above category, but also added the same sort to the parent category in [[Category:Television episodes by American director|Patterson, John Tiffin]]. You use default sort so you don't have to individually sort categories, but you are doing both. Thanks. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 16:23, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All the television episodes by director categories have been nominated for renaming at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2011 March 11#Television episodes by director. You are welcome to contribute to the discussion. Thanks. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 10:56, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of The Daredevil Mountaineer for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The Daredevil Mountaineer is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Daredevil Mountaineer until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. — ZjarriRrethues — talk 17:50, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article David Copperfield (1956-1966 TV serial) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

article that conflates 2 entirely separate television serials

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tassedethe (talk) 18:49, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Daredevil Mountaineer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
