Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Draft:7EGAS. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 06:53, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Your signature 2
Hello Web Source Content. It appears you prefer 'Source Content Self-Maker' to be your signature, rather than your actual user name. This risks being confusing, though you do link to your *actual* account name, which is helpful. Did you know you could request at WP:CHU/S to change your real account name to 'Source Content Self-Maker'? This might benefit others who are trying to follow your contributions on talk pages. You wouldn't lose ownership of any of your past contributions, they would be carried over automatically. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 14:58, 2 July 2018 (UTC)

- I don't understand your answer. Why would you want to sign with a name that is not your actual account name? I am EdJohnston; I wouldn't give BobSmith as my signature. EdJohnston (talk) 15:09, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
- Because my signature is Source Content Self-Maker and I would prefer to use in this cases if possible. It has been accepted for me. Source Content Self-Maker (talk) 15:13, 2 July 2018 (UTC)

Reporting vandals
Thank you for reporting vandals but please use WP:AIV to do so and not WP:ANEW. WP:AIV reports are easier to do and will get a faster response. --NeilN talk to me 13:59, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
Maintenance areas
Hi there. We appreciate your enthusiasm but you do not have sufficient experience just yet for any of the tasks usually associated with special user rights. These operations include reviewing pages and drafts for deletion, reverting and reporting vandals, and submitting SPI reports. There are plenty of encyclopedia articles on Korean topics - perhaps you can help improve those until you have more experience. If you have any questions or need help, don't hesitate to ask at the Teahouse. Happy editing! Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:39, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

To grasp the nettle, there are rare diseases, there are tropical diseases and then there are "neglected diseases". Evidently a rare enough disease is likely to be neglected, but neglected disease these days means a disease not rare, but tropical, and most often infectious or parasitic. Rare diseases as a group are dominated, in contrast, by genetic diseases. A major aspect of neglect is found in tracking drug discovery. Orphan drugs are those developed to treat rare diseases (rare enough not to have market-driven research), but there is some overlap in practice with the WHO's neglected diseases, where snakebite, a "neglected public health issue", is on the list. From an encyclopedic point of view, lack of research also may mean lack of high-quality references: the core medical literature differs from primary research, since it operates by aggregating trials. This bibliographic deficit clearly hinders Wikipedia's mission. The ScienceSource project is currently addressing this issue, on Wikidata. Its Wikidata focus list at WD:SSFL is trying to ensure that neglect does not turn into bias in its selection of science papers.

Latest message for Collaboration team newsletter; Growth team's newsletter invite
Hello
Sorry to use English if that's not your favorite language.
You are receiving this message because you were reading the Collaboration team newsletter.
The Collaboration team doesn't longer exists. That team was working on building features that encourage collaboration. This is the latest message for that newsletter.
The Growth Team, formed in July 2018, supports some former Collaboration projects. The Growth Team's main objective is to ease new editors' first steps on wikis, through software changes. You can discover all objectives and missions of the Growth team on its page.
If you wish to be informed about Growth team's updates about easing new users first steps, you can subscribe to the new list to get updates. The first message from Growth –with a call for feedback on a new project– will be posted in a few days!
If you have questions or you want to share experiences made on your wiki about new users' first steps, please post them on the team talk page, in any language.
On behalf of the Growth team, Trizek (WMF) (talk) 10:29, 22 August 2018 (UTC)

WP:UAA reports on users with no edits
Generally, there is no reason to report usernames with no edits whatsoever. Per WP:UAAI: "Wait until the user edits. Do not report a user that hasn't edited unless they are clearly a vandal. We do not want to welcome productive editors with a report at UAA, nor do we want to waste our time dealing with accounts that may never be used." The exceptions are obvious hate speech or names that attack a living person/Wikipedia editor, those are blockable even without any edits, but other run-of-the-mill violations need not be reported unless and until they at least attempt to edit, and you should be able to clearly explain what the problem is if it is not immediately evident.
For whatever reason, every day dozens, if not hundreds of accounts are created that never make one single edit. It is our responsibility as admins to conscientiously review every report a user makes at UAA, so we have to check for contribs, deleted contribs, and tripping of the edit filter for every one of these reports, only to find out there's nothing there and therefore no problem to be solved. So we add the {{UAA|wait}} tag to the report, it goes to WP:UAA/HP for a week or more, and must then be reviewed again to see if the account has since become active before removing it. That's time that could be spent doing more productive things, but you basically obligate admins to do it by making such reports. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:58, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
