To CaroleHenson and Philg88: I've finished rearranging and tweaking the article, havn't gone over it again yet, but it's free to tweak if someone feels like doing so. And I have to come up with a lead instead of the few meager sentences now lurking at the top of the page. w.carter-Talk 20:33, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, cool. It seems that you've put a lot of hard word into this.
- I'm in the midst of something and have to run out for a bit. How about if I wait til you add a lead (whenever that's convenient for you). And if you could let me know when that's done then I'll jump in with the GA review. Does that work?--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:58, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- @CaroleHenson:Fine by me! I'm turning in for the night soon, so I'll probably do it tomorrow. That'll give Phil some time if he wants to tweak anything. I'll be in touch. See ya! w.carter-Talk 21:03, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- I've expanded the lede slightly and tweaked the sentence structures a bit. I still think that the lede might be a bit too short and could do with another sentence. I'll leave it alone now pending comments from Carole. Best, Philg88 ♦talk 05:51, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
@CaroleHenson:@Philg88:I think I'm done for now with the article. Beefed up the lead a bit with essentials from the main, I think it is proportional to the article which is a bit shorter than JB. Btw, I got a message this morning that another editor made a DYK for JB.
If you want to see what horrifying things I'm up against when dealing with articles from SweWiki, take a look at these. You don't have to understand a word to see what I mean. This is a GA even though it clearly lacks a lot of citations and is riddled with [citation needed] and [clarification needed], and this is an FA, with refs missing everywhere and some of the refs are simply ludicrous. I'll translate (exact quotes) two of them for you just to brighten up your day: <ref>From a brochure published by the National Estate Board.</ref> and <ref>Information from the castle management, 30 september 2011.</ref> (Carole: You see what I mean when I told you not to trust that WP :) ) I've pretty much given up on just translating SweWiki articles. I'll use them as pointers and then do the research and writing myself. Cheers, w.carter-Talk 09:05, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
:Sorry to bring a bucket of ice cold water to the party but I don't think the DYK will fly. JB is more than 5 days old and has not been expanded 5X in that period. Philg88 ♦talk 09:20, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Philg88:Well, tough luck for the editor who did the nomination. I have (see above in another section) already said that I wasn't interested in doing a DYK since I don't need the hassle right now. (This is also marked by the lack of a smiley at the end my previous comment about it) Let's keep the "bucket of ice cold water" though, it's good for cooling the beer. :) Thanks! w.carter-Talk 09:34, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- Doh! I seem to have overlooked the fact that it's just been promoted to GA. Now how did I miss that? Philg88 ♦talk 11:07, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Philg88:Easily done. Speaking of obvious thing... if you see my answer at the Teahouse #citation template; do you think anyone suspects me of sometimes editing How-to-books or manning the help desk at events? w.carter-Talk 11:25, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- No, doesn't seem overly apparent, and it's "fiction" not "fictive" -:) Philg88 ♦talk 11:50, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

@Philg88:Hol' on a sec... is it really? The book I used in the example is just an imaginary book, a book I made up for the example. I know that many books are "fiction books", but if they don't exist are they still "fiction books" and not "fictive books"? I looked up "fictive" at Google translate and got the explanation: "creating or created by imagination ('the novel's fictive universe')". I just don't want to make the same mistake again, and remember: I trust you completely, much more than a dictionary. :) Sorry to bother you, w.carter-Talk 12:27, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- Remember, Tonto, this ain't Swedish. Fictive may be the grammatically correct word but I have never ever ever seen it used in English ever - not even once. [That's enough emphasis ... ed.] "Fiction" is fine. :) Philg88 ♦talk 12:57, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

- Hi, I thought making Good Article was a criteria for DYK - it's in the hard-coded wording of the template for notification when a Good Article passes - and I thought I read that in the DYK nomination criteria. - Oh, never mind, I see now this was struck-out.
- Yikes, re: state of GA/FA articles in the Swedish WP!
- I can start on Einar's review in the afternoon - oops, meaning in a couple of hours my time.--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:44, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Hemmema?
I came across Swedish East India Company and noted that you had whipped it[1] into very good shape. I took the liberty of replacing one of the portraits with a pic of an historical flag courtesy of Sjöhistoriska in Stockholm. And some tweaks. Revert at will, by all means.
Since you seem to be making a lot of good stuff related to Swedish history (like John Bauer), do you think you'd be interested in having a look at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Hemmema/archive1? I seem to have trouble drumming up much interest in the nomination.
Peter Isotalo 21:23, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Peter, yes, I saw that you made some edits to the Swedish East India Company. Thank you. It is my "big" project right now. I have read about 2,000 pages about it and am currently putting my newfound knowledge to use. I prepped the SOIC for an even larger expansion which I will start soon. I like to start with all the articles that the "big" article will link to before starting with some serious editing on the main article. It's a bit backwards maybe, but I like a solid foundation.:) So far I've worked on Götheborg (ship), Chinese Pavilion at Drottningholm, Punsch, Supercargo and some other related articles. I've also created Puankhequa and am working on Draft:Grill (family) (I think you will find the Grill article interesting). I've had a lot of help from editor Philg88 who is our resident expert on articles realted to China and has covered the Trade from the Canton point of view. So quite a project, and not much time for anything else but I will certainly give Hemmema a look and see if I can do something for it.
- I was actually planning on looking for a pic of the flag since one of the new sections will be about the flag, so thanks. When I'm done with the article, there will be enough text for Sahlgren to reappear. :) Best, w.carter-Talk 22:00, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
Hello again Peter, I have looked at Hemmema, and yes I saw some things that might be done to improve it. Not 100% sure what you want me to do though. Since it already is a GA I assume that it has had some copy editing prior to the review, and if that was anything like what I am currently facing at John Bauer... I've never worked with an FAN, so I'm a bit nervous. :) I don't know if any of my suggestions will affect the FAN, but nevertheless:
- There are some places where the language could be tweaked. The Swedish is a bit transparent sometimes. (These are things most of us know, but never notice in our own writing. )
- Many of the linked words are linked to redirects. From my point of view, a FA should be squeaky clean.
- Can we please loose all the red links? They are so Swedish Wikipedia, and have no place in an English FA. I know what their purpose is, but just leave them black for now, and just update them if the articles are ever written.
- Is there some specific reason why all the measurements are written in cumbersome calculated ways instead of with the more accurate and smoother Template:Convert?
- The Notes contain both Notes and Citations. Look at how I solved this at Swedish East India Company where the notes have refs.
- Should not a FA have the References/Sources/Bibliography in proper Template:Cite book style, and not just "written"? Look at the Bibliography section at John Bauer.
I can fix all these (or just some) things for you if you want me to, but in a couple of days. As you may have noticed I'm in the middle of a GA review right now, and I have to focus on that. :) Best, w.carter-Talk 18:13, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the comments. The lack of templates is entirely intentional, though, as well as the formatting of notes. I don't use templates unless necessary for simplicity. Neither are mandatory for FAs. Redlinks are not my choice, so I have no opinions there.
- Would you be interested in adding pointers about language and such at the FAC? It would make the review more transparent.
- Peter Isotalo 20:24, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Peter. So it was pretty much as I thought. I didn't think the lack of templates were an issue for the FA, it's all a matter of style. Sorry for being so blunt in my comments, but it's better to be crystal clear when dealing with a FAN. Something I have no experience with at all. :) There are no big issues with the language, just the occasional tweak here and there I could suggest. Of course I can add something at the FAC about it, but as I said before, this will be in a couple of days. BTW, do you know anything about when/if the two toughed flag for the SOIC became "legal"? See discussion below at the Svindersvik section. Best, w.carter-Talk 20:47, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
- No rush on my account. The FAC isn't going anywhere. And don't worry about being blunt. Critique was exactly what I was looking for.
- Unfortunately, I can't tell you any details about the double-tailed flag. I just happened to stumble across that photo while looking for other historical Swedish flags.
- Peter Isotalo 22:33, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

People who make images "not suck"
Recently you talked about the yellowing of an image and that you were able to make enhancements to it.
I don't know if it helps or not (i.e., you might be extremely proficient at image editing), but after seeking a Wikipedia ad on my page for The graphics lab, I submitted a requests Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Photography workshop#Please help make "Grandma Moses" images "not suck" (phrase from the ad). I looked in commons at the "before" version of some of their work - and they are incredible.
After that's done, I thought Ester Ellqvist's images would be good to have done. Her two paintings are so dark! Just food for thought...--CaroleHenson (talk) 23:15, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- @CaroleHenson:Yes, one can do wonders with programs these days, proving one have enough time. :) The "restorations" I did with Bauer's pic was just a very quick 'once over'. I'll take a look at Esters pics as soon as I get the time. (Tomorrow is work day, I have had some days off and it fitted perfectly with the reviews.) Dark pics are very often a problem when people photograph them from books instead of scanning them. Not enough light. I'll just check so that the originals are not just as dark first. (See my discussion about that yellowed originals should be left alone.) Left is a pic I brightened up a bit for my expansion of the Chinese Pavilion at Drottningholm. Not much but you can look at it in the Commons. And right is a pic I made just for fun. :) I stumbled upon the article and noticed that it lacked a pic. So I carefully selected two fine capsules of Omega 3 that I take to try and stay healthy. Put them in my windowsill, snapped pic, some tweaks and Photoshop. Et voila! :)
- Sometimes I take request from other editors writhing about my little island (see my user page) and during one of these trips I just saw the most amazing collapse barn and took some pics. At home again I searched for an article it could fit into, and sure enough, Structural integrity and failure now has a Gotlandic barn as a warning example. :) I am in no way a photographer, more like chaotic picture maker. :) Best, w.carter-Talk 23:46, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- Impressive! I would have thought that backdrops, special lighting, etc. would have been needed for the pills image... I like your other two images, too. Cool!--CaroleHenson (talk) 23:58, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- @CaroleHenson: Done They were small and easy to deal with, might as well get it done. You have to purge your cache to see them. Pic of Ester looks does not "miniaturize" well, but look at it in full size: She was a skilled painter, allright. All for tonight, bye, w.carter-Talk 00:23, 9 September 2014 (UTC)

- Wow! They look so much better! If you don't mind - it would be great if you looked at the Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Photography workshop#Please help make "Grandma Moses" images "not suck" images. Someone worked on them really quickly - and I couldn't see the change. I think I may have offended him or her (I hardly ever know gender around here), because I asked if maybe the old versions of the images were posted to commons. I don't see a difference. But maybe, it's like you said earlier - that there's only so much that can be done for images that come from books. I'm not asking you to do anything, who knows, they could be working on making more tweaks. It would just be nice to know if you thought it was possible to make them better.--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:33, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oops, my bad about the Grandma Moses images... I had to refresh my cache - or whatever that is called and now see the updates.--CaroleHenson (talk) 01:19, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- @CaroleHenson:´That's ok, it's easy to forget that part sometimes. Pics are very fast and easy (and fun) tweaks for me to do. If you have any others you want fixed, just let me know. Cheers, w.carter-Talk 07:25, 9 September 2014 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Einar Jolin
The article Einar Jolin you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Einar Jolin for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. - @CaroleHenson:Awsome! What a collaboration it has been. You really worked hard getting me over the last hurdle. I have learned so much during all of this. :) I just have to digest and absorb it all for a while now. Thanks again. I'll be back! -- w.carter-Talk 19:21, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- My pleasure. Great work on the article! I am glad that a moment of chaos led to one of order. A GA mentor provided great input that helped me realize a different approach for documenting the review and a lighter touch will make the process less tiresome and frustrating... and I'm grateful for coming to that resolution. Thanks much, really great job! Reading through the article for the last time was a pleasure!--CaroleHenson (talk) 19:26, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- And Philg88, this time there is absolutely no doubt: It's one green dot for me and one green dot for you. Looking back, I can hardly imagine all the time and effort you put into getting the form and language right for this article, while at the same time teaching a chaotic newbie (me) how to edit. :) Cheers, w.carter-Talk 19:39, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Question
Dear W: I'm confused again. Posted on John Dewey talk page my effort to make instrumentalism relevant, and got 2 answers--neither of which makes sense to me or mentions Dewey. Can you help me interpret? Thanks.
I couldn't make your ping work.TBR-qed (talk) 19:43, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- @TBR-qed:Hello! Nice to hear from you again. First: If you post here at my talk page, you don't need to ping me. I get an automatic ping as soon as someone posts here. Second: The two things in your section at the talk page did not belong in the section you created. They were notes made by another editor at the "Criticism section" a bit further up the page. That editor did obviously not know how to make the notes stay in the right section, and "lost" notes always wander to the bottom of the page. I have corrected it all now and everything is where it should be. Please feel free to ask here again if something is troubling you. All the best, w.carter-Talk 20:04, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Image placement
Hello,
If you're interested, I've reviewed the Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Visual arts for an article I'm reviewing right now... and it has different guidelines regarding image placement. So, although I'm going to continue to right justify images for my articles (unless of course I use galleries), it seems I was a bit too hasty about saying left justified images are an issue for visual arts articles. If you prefer the images the way you had them, feel free to make those changes.--CaroleHenson (talk) 01:18, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- @CaroleHenson:Hi! It was very thoughtful of you to provide this info. I will consider it for future articles. As it is you provided some alternate ways of thinking regarding which section the pics could be in, and both the articles look great now, no need to play around with the placing, it will only disturb the article. Thanks again, w.carter-Talk 08:18, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, my pleasure!--CaroleHenson (talk) 08:42, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
Small question
Thanks for putting the welcome message on my user page. I think I am learning quickly with the help of many responses to my queries. One small question. When a comment appears on MY user talk page, do I reply there or go to the user page of the person who made the comment? Do responses on my user-page trigger automatic notifications to the sender?? Thanks, JohnD'Alembert (talk) 10:03, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- @JohnD'Alembert:Hello! The policy is to leave an answer on the same page as the question, keep the conversation intact unless there is some reason for moving it elsewhere. Like complicated questions at the Teahouse can be continued on the appropriate talk page. The only time automatic notifications appear is when someone is posting on your talk page. That notification is a red square followed by a long yellow box (for most browsers and settings). In all other cases you have to alert the other editor in some way, either by "ping" or by mentioning them in a link. This will result in a just the red box notification. So even if you respond in your talk page you still have to alert the editor you are addressing. If you want to get hold of me you use {{ping|W.carter}} resulting in @W.carter: or [[User:W.carter|W.carter]] resulting in W.carter. There are some more, but these are the basics.
- And when you ask something at someone's talk page, you also create a new section so your question don't get entangled in some other conversation. I have fixed that here for you. Please call again if you have any further questions. Cheers, w.carter-Talk 12:51, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
Got it! Thanks, JohnD'Alembert (talk) 13:33, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi I'm Kid President! You seem to be a friendly person so I was wondering if you would be my friend? Thanks, Kid President 18:46, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Kid President:Hello and welcome to the encyclopedia. Most of us editing here are pretty friendly, and some of us become friends in time as we work here, but you may have mistaken this for a social internet site, which it is not. All of us are here to write and contribute to the encyclopedia. Was there something special you wanted to ask about? w.carter-Talk 18:55, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
No, I meant someone to help me be a good wiki person.Kid President 19:01, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Kid President:I understand. You are always welcome here if you have a question about something, but I think what you are looking for is someone to "adopt" you and show you how things work around here. Sorry, I don't do that. Why, I even get a calling card when you visit! Very civilized, very Jane Austen. :) Otherwise, I'm your partner in crime since I always check out your page, as well as the pages and work of my other friends, when I log on. And if you don't, will you please help me make a navigation bar. I tried looking at the ones that other users have but it's one of the most complex things on the Wiki I've seen.Mirror Freak My Guestbook 13:30, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- Huh?? Dude, I've never made one and have no idea where to start with doing one. You might want to go ask Technical 13 for some advice. If not, leave some links here and I'll take a look at them later tonight when I get home and have the time. Have to go back to work now, the boss is glaring at me. Best, w.carter-Talk 13:37, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- Like this one [2]. Mirror Freak My Guestbook 13:41, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Enjoy
- @MirrorFreak: You're giving me poop??? If this is some sort of new joke, I just don't get it. I find it rather tasteless. I generally don't like having someone placing poop on my talkpage. Or are you mad at me for some reason? I'll help you with the nav bar later this evening. Just tell me where you want it, what to put on it, colors ideas and so on. w.carter-Talk 15:06, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Fine I took it down. And no I'm not made at you. How could I be? I was thinking for the Nav bar to have dudish stuff. You know like a guitar picture that links to the main page of the lodge. A skateboard that links to the members.Mirror Freak My Guestbook 15:09, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- @MirrorFreak:Thanks! :) So what page do you want it on? Colours? I can fix up a suggestion in a sandbox, but I need to know a bit about what specific pages to link to. Best, w.carter-Talk 15:22, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Hello friends, @MirrorFreak:, I have created something for you. Please check it. Thanks, Jim Carter 16:36, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you Jim, that was really thoughtful of you! :) With this I am sure you can convert it to whatever page you want to or which pictures you want to. You have made all those userboxes so I'm sure you'll figure it out. Just look at the code. Best to both of you! :) w.carter-Talk 17:46, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- @MirrorFreak:Ok. So I made a suggestion for your page in one of my sandboxes. This is as far as I know how to make it. I'm sure you can copy it and start tweaking with it if you want it, once you see the code. If you want other colours this is a good page, and of course you can substitute the links in it and I know you are very good at handling fonts. You will get the hang of it all very soon. I'll keep it on my page for a couple of days for you.
- After this I hope you understand if I want to go on with writing the articles I was working on. And while it is nice that you want to show how much you appreciate the work of others, you should not over-use thanks and barnstars. If you give too many of them, they start loosing their value. Just one simple "Thanks" if the more mature way of saying that you like it. Cheers, w.carter-Talk 20:13, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
Wow, thanks for the page design. Oh and all the thanks was meant to be a kind of joke to spam you!Mirror Freak My Guestbook 20:24, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

Who is he? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:40, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Anna Frodesiak, I have no idea of who he is in real life, but here at the WP s(he) is a young editor I encountered at the Teahouse, have tried to help and encourage into right behavior almost since I myself started here about five months ago. I helped him out as Schoolskater, as Skaterlife, as MirrorFreak, as Kid President. I may have helped him/her in other alias' that I don't know about. I have asked for help from other editors from time to time, but most of the time I have done the best I can. Lately s(he) has developed some sort of fixation for me and done a lot of things just to get my attention as is evident in my talk page history and this has become a bit disruptive to my editing. Because of his/her (admitted) age I have been very lenient with him/her and not reported him/her for suspected socks earlier, I thought trying to help would set him/her right, but instead things just escalated. Every time I did something to help the user s(he) just took it as a sign that s(he) could do as s(he) pleased with me. Enough is enough. This is a summery of what I know. I usually call this user "he" but I honestly don't know. Best, w.carter-Talk 20:09, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for filling me in. Is there anything you'd like to see happen? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:13, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Anna Frodesiak:I would like for this user to realize that this behavior is not ok, that s(he) leave me alone while maturing a bit and just dial things down a lot. The user is smart a can be an asset to the WP but sort of needs to be watched 24/7, and I know that many other editors will be on stand by when the block is lifted. And if s(he) steps out line and does anything new disruptive despite all warnings, s(he) should be blocked indefinitely. But knowing the MO s(he) probably already have some accounts standing by to start again. Best, w.carter-Talk 20:25, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- Understood. Let's see what happens after the block expires. Many thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:35, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well, it looks like our very own Vasquez has decided to walk the line for now. Good. Back to editing, let's get some work done! w.carter-Talk 20:43, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

The church ruins
Just to let you know, I put up the List of church ruins on Gotland as a candidate for featured list. Gotland topics deserve more coverage, methinks :) Yakikaki (talk) 09:51, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Yakikaki:That is awesome! :) I'll be sure to check out the progress, if there's anything more you need for the list, just ping me. Fingers crossed! w.carter-Talk 10:13, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Yakikaki:Hello again! I don't want to put a dampener on this list, but I went in search of some external links for the list and started at the Swedish National Heritage Board Fornsök and entered several combination in the search box. The most relevant turned out to be "Kyrka/kapell. Fornlämning." in the "Fritext" and Gotland in "Län". With this I got 20 ruins and the list is for 17. I hope this link works: Sökresultat Kyrka/kapell. Fornlämning. Gotland. You could also try other search parameters. You might want to double check that all the ruins are present if you want the list to be an undisputed FA list, even if some of the ruins seems insignificant. I have not checked thoroughly yet but maybe Bunge, Västergarn, Fårö, Silte, Hellvi and some others should be included. Most of these are just as invisible as Solberga or Ryska Kyrkan, but for a complete list they might be relevant. Anyway, the Riksantikvarieämbetets list is the final word on what ruins there are, so no more lurking that we know of. :) Sorry...
- If you decide to include these in the list: I don't have much time to go picture hunting right now, especially since most of these sites are so far from Visby. But most of them are not clearly visible, and in case you don't want just a blank space in the list, I fixed this little icon of an overgrown site for you. (Cropped from a pic I took close to Ala Church years ago.) :b Best, w.carter-Talk 11:25, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hey, don't apologize, you've done me and Wikipedia a huge favour! :) Thanks also for fixing the wiki-links, that was a good and very helpful thing to do! As for the ruins, I don't think it's too complicated to fix, and I'll try to add the relevant ones as soon as possible. Some of them, like Bunge and Silte, are not really ruins in their own right but rather remains of earlier churches found under presently existing ones. I don't know what you think, but instinctively (and that's how I've treated such occurrences in the articles about individual churches) I would say they are simply pre-stages to a presently standing church, and not really ruins as such. A few seem to simply be ones that are already on the list but have other names in Fornsök (which should be added, of course). Some of the other ruins however really are ruins, or so it seems at least, but I think we're dealing with one or two, in total, so it shouldn't be too difficult to add. One of them it seems even has a picture on commons (the one describes as Hellvi in Fornsök seems to be the same that is sometimes called Olofsholm). But at least for one (Fårö) there seems to be no picture, so maybe we could use your picture, as you suggest, or else leave it blank. It's not so satisfying of course but I've seen it elsewhere. Hm, food for thought! Speaking of pictures, I saw today on my computer at work that the pictures seem to come out as smaller than their field. Does it look weird or OK to you? I'll have to try to check what could be wrong... Anyhow, thanks again for the heads up and all your help, now and always! Ciao, Yakikaki (talk) 15:46, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
@Yakikaki: My pleasure. :) Nice catch with the Hellvi/Olofsholm! If the pre-churches/remains are mentioned in the church's article, then no problem, and just add the rest. I know from experience that some old die-hard semi-historians here on the island can be pretty nitpicky, so it's good to not give anyone anything to complain about. As for the pictures: That is probably because your screen at work is larger than the one you have at home. (I have the reverse with a large screen at home, where the list behaves as you say, and a smaller, normal, at work.) You have defined the size of each picture so they are fixed, while the page and the table always adjust to the size of the computer screen. I think there are some tricky way of defining the table for fixed proportions as well, but that is not recommended, it has to adjust to different users hardware. Your screen at work simply stretch the table and the pics are not "following". Try to not use the full screen mode at work and you will see the table popping back to what you are used to. Cheers, w.carter-Talk 16:12, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
Or did you mean something else? w.carter-Talk 16:20, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Yakikaki:List looks great now! The altered % did the trick. :) No blanks. w.carter-Talk 16:28, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the input! Yes, it's not nice to disappoint anyone. :) I'll try to add St. Olofsholm a bit later, as well. Catch you later, Yakikaki (talk) 16:40, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, but I'm sorry, I've been very rude! I wanted to tell you a big congratulations on finalising the Grill family article, such a huge work you've done! Way good :) Yakikaki (talk) 16:46, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Yakikaki:Thanks! Not rude at all, I know how you must feel right now with all your energy focused on the FAN list. :) I even made a DYK for the extra page Jean Abraham Grill (my first on my own (!) very scary) Trying to work up an idea for a hook for the Grill family so I might try one for that one too, but no luck. Suggestions are welcome. w.carter-Talk 16:52, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

@Yakikaki:Btw, do you want me to crop back the pic for Ryska Kyrkan a bit so that it is more like the other pics in proportions? w.carter-Talk 17:02, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, nice! Don't worry about the DYK process, it's a bit scary the first time but it's rather straightforward and you shouldn't have any problems with getting the article through it. I'll try to think of a suggestion for the family article, it would be nice to see it on the main page :) As for the picture, that would be very nice, if you can find the time and effort :) Yakikaki (talk) 17:35, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Yakikaki: Done Pic now at "normal" proportions in the Commons. Just refresh the list page a couple of times and it'll adjust itself. w.carter-Talk 17:50, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Yakikaki: I managed to fix the Grill's DYK with one hook at least. With guys as crazy as they were, there's always something that stands out. ALT:s are still welcome of course. :) w.carter-Talk 20:48, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- Haha, I laughed out loud when I saw it! What a wild bunch they were :D I look forward to seeing both on the main page soon! :) Yakikaki (talk) 20:14, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
