Bird
[edit]Hi Vuerqex. I've reverted your changes to the Bird article, because there's no concensus for that change. Please see the article's talk page for more information. MeegsC | Talk 00:57, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of "Too Many Screaming Children"
[edit]A page you created, Too Many Screaming Children, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a band or other musical group, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for musical groups in particular.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
Thank you. Res2216firestar 18:27, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Birds are dinosaurs
[edit]Hi Vuerqex. I don't disagree with you! But you need to check all the entries on the Talk page for the Bird article to see the discussion about changing this in the article. After you've read it all, I think you'll better understand why the change hasn't been made yet. Let me know if you have any questions! MeegsC | Talk 23:17, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry Vuerqex, I didn't see your message until this morning. To get to the talk page, go to the Bird article, and then click on the tab that says "discussion". That tab is right near the top of the page. On the discussion page (also known in Wikipedia as the "Talk" page), the table of contents is down about one screen. You can use it to jump down to the sections about dinosaurs. Or you can just scroll through and read the whole thing. Some of the dinosaur conversation might be in one of the archives (probably the fourth one—July 2007-February 2008); the archives are listed near the top of the page, on the right-hand side in a pink-colored box. Just click on the one you want to check. I hope this helps! MeegsC | Talk 08:56, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Glad to help! See you around Wikipedia! :) MeegsC | Talk 09:40, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Dilong
[edit]Hello, Vuerqex;
Please do not move articles without discussion against consensus, as you did with Dilong (dinosaur). J. Spencer (talk) 02:35, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Birds
[edit]Thanks! I agree birds are dinosaurs, some people don't seem to get why--it all depends on what type of classification you follow. A lot of people also forger it goes both ways and some dinosaurs are birds! People look at me funny if I say my favorite bird is Deinonychus ;) Dinoguy2 (talk) 21:20, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Biologist?
[edit]How can you be a biologist if you are only a teenager? Biologist generally means someone who works in biology as an occupation. I don't think hobbies or study would count, although there are categories for biology students and people interested in biology (see Category:Biologists and its parent categories). Newsletter
[edit]Hi Vuerqex: I asked one of the BOT owners to send it out on Oct. 31, but he still hasn't done so. Guess I'll have to find another one. I'm in Reunion at the moment, headed for Madagascar, so it's kinda hard to find the time! In the meantime, you can read it here. MeegsC | Talk 10:35, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Elements
[edit]Hi Vuerqex. The pictures of the radioactive elements you uploaded recently look a little bit strange and with out giving a source of the pictures except own picture colletion makes it hard to belive that somebody has access to those kind of materials to take pictures. Can you explain where you took those photos?--Stone (talk) 06:28, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
:Considering the low resolution, they look like they were taken off the web, which may make them unacceptable per the image use policy. If you took them yourself, could you upload higher-resolution versions and add more details about the samples (size, for starters)? Note that the image use policy requires information about the provenance of the image in enough detail so that it can be verified. --Itub (talk) 07:31, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Copy right materilal
[edit] With your uploads you are in conflict with the Wikipedia:Copyright violations guidlines! Please read the guidelines and try not to lable copyrighted material as own work and make it look like you give it into public domain.--Stone (talk) 13:57, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
But the issue stays the same: The Images you uploaded are not public domain and they are not your work! What is with the other two which are not deleted jet, because I could not find them in the net easyly? Not your work and copied from a web site, I would guess?--Stone (talk) 14:26, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Personal attack directed at a specific editor

adding non-word to article
[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Titin, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Boghog2 (talk) 17:55, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
: There has already been an extensive discussion on the appropriateness of adding this
non-word to the titin article and the consensus was not to add. Boghog2 (talk) 17:55, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Request reason:
I believe it to be unfair to get blocked just for adding a 189,819 letter real word to an article. All I did was add the full 189,819 letter official IUPAC chemical name for Titin to the article. I don't understand why you don't consider a chemical name to be a real word. Why don't you understand that Methion... is a real word? And anyway, one of the main reasons that anyone even goes to the Titin article is because they want to see the 189,819 letter full name. But when they get there, they find that, unfortunately, the article doesn't even tell them the full name. The only people who go there for other reasons are scientists and a small number of other people. I don't believe that I should be blocked for giving people what they want, which is the full 189,819 letter name. There is nothing wrong with adding the full name of something to an article.
Decline reason:
Work it out on the talk page when your block expires. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 23:51, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
