[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Kukhareva London
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kukhareva London, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 11:10, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Comment Kukhareva London
[edit]I haven't posted here before because you are not a new editor, but I see that you have recreated clearly promotion article. I deleted your article because
- you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation or company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, logs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company or organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. Much of your text is unsourced.
- The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:
- significant coverage in
- independent,
- multiple,
- reliable,
- secondary sources.
- Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability. The company appears to have no employees, profits or turnover, all you tell us is what it sells
- You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews. Examples of obvious opinions or outright spam include most notable for its tops and evening dresses... Each collection is inspired and based around a specific set of patterns... At Kukhareva believe in giving back and regularly support charities... The ecology issues are important for Kukhareva... Its products are available for purchase online and via selected offline retailers
Since you have recreated a promo and appear to be repeating its claims as if they were real facts, and not giving any company information beyond what they sell, I have to ask if you have an undeclared conflict of interest. If you work directly or indirectly for an organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Vittalio. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Vittalio|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block.
Please do not edit further until you respond to this message. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:35, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hello Jim!
Thank you for your message.
Here are the arguments to explain the things:
1. The brand in fact is famous enough in the fashion industry, so these independent verifiable world famous sources like Vogue, Daily Mail and The Telegraph write about it. Moreover, big fashion sources are provided as well:
- The brand website
- The Guardian. Five fashion designers working sustainably without the eco terminology
- Vogue. London Fashion Week
- Daily Mail. Watch your step! Model wearing wacky sky-high platform shoes takes a tumble in embarrassing London Fashion Week finale
- Italianist. Ekaterina Kukhareva
- The Telegraph. Why is the 1950s housewife making a comeback?
- Gemologue. GEM TALK WITH EKATERINA KUKHAREVA
- Fajo Magazine. How yarn turns into Tsaritsa-style knits
- Dreaming Of. A well knitted fashion story: interview with a designer Ekaterina Kukhareva
- References in Ukrainain and Russian can be provided as well.
The thing is that the news sites like the Guardian mostly do not write about fashion. For that purpose there are a lot of fashion specialised sites that can be unknown for the people not connected with fashion.
- Note that the brand website and the Daily Mail are not viewed as reliable sources. The first shouldn't be used for anything that might be challenged, the newspaper shouldn't be used. Also, several of your sources appear to be interviews with the designer, again not suitable as independent third-party sources, although it explains why your text reads so promotionally, it's here talking about her own brans Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- Daily Mail is deleted from the link list.--Vittalio (talk) 20:08, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
2. It's a private company that does not have to disclose revenues. Only public companies do. If this financial info is important for you, I can state it.
- I can't see why, say, number of staff is confidential? Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- As it is possible due to the UK laws for the private companies not to disclose some certain info, I have stated in the company description sentence that it is private.--Vittalio (talk) 20:08, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
3. Non-promotional tone. I don't mind to change the sentances that you stated. It is easy to do. I will do that as soon as the page is back.
- OK, but you've not done so so far Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- Edited. Now it looks neutral I guess. --Vittalio (talk) 20:08, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
4. I do NOT get a reward or any compensation for ANY article created. In the Ukrainian and Russian Wikipedia I have more than 2600 articles created. I am the Wikipedia user since 2009. My fashion she-friend from Ukraine (Olenka) asked if I can create an article for her British-Ukrainian friend (Ekaterina). I believe in friendship, I love art, I like the style that Ekaterina creates and I want the company of my friend's friend to have information at Wikipedia. And it is for free as it is to support the friendship. Spiritual is more important than material.
- Fine, you don't have to declare a paid interest, but you must not let your friendship lead you into writing a promo instead of a factual article Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
5. I can see a lot of articles in the category https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Clothing_brands_of_the_United_Kingdom that look like a stub, are really promotional and short, but nobody deletes them.
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merchant_Archive
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thornback_%26_Peel
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tricouni_(brand)
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henleys
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firetrap
Please advise how my article should look like any of these so it is not deleted anymore?
- Not sure what the relevance of those links is. The fact that other articles have not been deleted doesn't help you, either they met the criteria or should be deleted as well. See What about article x?. Also note that many articles would have been accepted before the notability guidelines were made stricter. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- Got it. Writing this article I paid attention to the mentioned ones, that's why I though their content structure and sentences can be applicable for the article of the same category. --Vittalio (talk) 20:08, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
6. In addition, are these Wikipedia rules Deletion is not cleanup and Wikipedia is a work in progress still in use?
- Firstly, you are presenting us with a finished article, not a draft, so it will be judged as it stands. Wikipedia is a work in progress in that there is never a final version. And G11 is there to prevent spamming, so an article will not be allowed to survive if it's written as a promo Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Waiting for your comments, Jim! Thank you!--Vittalio (talk) 08:26, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- I've interleaved my replies with yours, I hope that's OK Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the explanation! I appreciate it a lot in fact! :) --Vittalio (talk) 20:08, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
