DYK for Elephant & Castle tube station
On 22 January 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Elephant & Castle tube station, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the first baby born on the London Underground was delivered at the Elephant & Castle tube station (pictured) in 1924? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Elephant & Castle tube station. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. 14:19:37, 29 January 2016 review of submission by Rebelighthart
Hi Vincent60030--Thanks for taking the time to review the Crescent Communities draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Crescent_Communities. I took a second look at the notability guidelines for orgs and companies (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(organizations_and_companies), and I think Crescent Communities meets them. I should have done a better job drawing out some of what's in the references I included - here's how I see it:
1. SIGNIFICANT COVERAGE: Crescent Communities has received significant coverage from reliable, independent sources (nationally recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the top fastest growing private companies in America in 2015, recognized by Business North Carolina as one of North Carolina’s top private companies, in 2015, etc.).
2. RELIABLE EVIDENCE: There is verifiable, objective evidence that Crescent Communities has received significant attention from independent sources (14 independent sources are listed in the article including the Wall Street Journal, Charlotte Business Journal and Inc. Magazine).
As requested, I improved the references and added in some additional sources. Would you mind taking a second look at the article? I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Thank you, Rebelighthart (talk) 14:19, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

New Page Review needs your help
Hi Vincent60030,
As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically).
Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted.
Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review.
It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial.

Request on 22:48:43, 18 November 2016 for assistance on AfC submission by Warbler21
Hi Vincent-
I don't understand - there are 6 secondary sources, all from real national newspapers here in Australia, cited properly, which verify the content of the article.
Please elaborate on why you think the article does not have sufficent citations.
Warbler21 (talk) 22:48, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hey there Warbler21! So sorry for not specifying. Anyways, I would like to know more about the smh website because I'm not familiar with Australian websites. Anyways, nice to meet ya! Cheers! ---VKZYLUFan (talk) (Mind the Gap!) 09:15, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
Moving block copyright problem
I have removed content you added to the above article, as it appears to have been copied from http://www.railway-technical.com/sigtxt3.shtml, a copyright web page. All content you add to Wikipedia must be written in your own words. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you think I made a mistake. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:49, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hey there! It might seem as it is copied but I do not know how to rephrase the sentences. Could you please kindly assist me? Thanks VKZYLUFan (talk) (Mind the Gap!) 06:20, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
- It's a skill you are going to have to learn if you wish to contribute to this encyclopedia. One thing I find that works for me is to read over the source material and then pretend I am verbally describing the topic to a friend in my own words. Stuff should also be presented in a different order where possible. Summarize rather than paraphrase. This will typically result in your version being much shorter than the source document. There's some reading material on this topic at Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing and/or have a look at the material at Purdue. Please feel free to ask me via email if you are stuck and are not sure how to effectively re-word a passage.
Here is some prose to get you started. "Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) or Transmission Based Signalling (TBS) is used to monitor each train's the speed, braking capability, and location. This information is used to calculate a safe zone for each train, allowing for more efficient use of the system and maximizing capacity." — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:25, 28 November 2016 (UTC)

- @Rey grschel: Idk either but I'm very sorry that this happened. I don't know whether it was a bug from the bot that I was using. VKZYLUFan (talk) (Mind the Gap!) 05:42, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
- It's alright, I realized in the grand scheme of things that it doesn't really matter haha.

I have unreviewed a page you curated
Thanks for reviewing Bilal Ekşi, Vincent60030.
Unfortunately Primefac has just gone over this page again and unreviewed it. Their note is:
The copyvio was taken care of, so it probably needs re-reviewing.

Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
I see you recently accepted a pending change to February 3. I looked for a source for this date of birth in the Amal Clooney article and it was unsupported by any source there either.
You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. I've gone ahead and un-accepted this edit and backed it out.
Please do not accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 16:27, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Toddst1: Thanks for letting me know. I've overlooked it. Yeah, it is better that way.VKZYLUFan (talk) (Mind the Gap!) 00:36, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

- It's now but could be shorter:
<span style="color: orange">VKZY</span><span style="color: red">LUFan</span> (talk) <small>(Mind the Gap!)</small>
Please note that the orange text fails WP:CONTRAST, since its contrast ratio, even against a white background (which cannot always be relied upon on talk pages) is only 1.974:1 which is well short of the WCAG AA requirement, 4.5:1. To get up to this kind of contrast level and retain the same hue, you need to darken the text all the way down to<span style="color:orange">VKZY</span>LUFan (talk) <small>(Mind the Gap!)</small>

General project update:
- ACTRIAL will end it's initial phase on the 14th of March. Our goal is to reduce the backlog significantly below the 90 day index point by the 14th of March. Please consider helping with this goal by reviewing a few additional pages a day.

Plenumigo Thanks so much for your feedback on my page, Vincent! It's very helpful and I made the adjustments based on your recommendations, let me know what you think and if the page is ready for review. Thanks so much for your assistance! Plenumigo (talk) 00:02, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
@Plenumigo: You're most welcome :) I have noticed that your draft needs a bit of a cleanup. I'm not that well at reviewing AfC, (disclaimer) but I'll try to help as much as I can. There is sufficient content to condense the paragraphed part, which means all of the contents can be splitted into sections (known as the body). A lead could be formed from this. Try writing short descriptions of his filmography and TV series. For bibliography, try adding inline citations for them. I'm pretty sure after these changes, the article will be accepted swiftly. :) Goodluck! VKZYLUFan (talk) (Mind the Gap!) 04:06, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
@Vincent60030: Thanks so much for your inputs! I made the changes and will be waiting for the review! It's a pleasure collaborating with you, @Vincent60030:!
