References

[edit]

references cannot be removed and the photos cannot violate the copyright and must have a size that respects the wikipedia style--Warairarepano&Guaicaipuro (talk) 09:38, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting references and uploading photos on which you do not have copyright can cause the article and photos to be deleted because it violates Wikipedia's tag rules. The only photos that can be used are your own or those already in Wikipedias commons duly identified with their author--Warairarepano&Guaicaipuro (talk) 09:42, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You can see an example of an article that follows the rules here, these rules include an introduction with a minimum size that you are removing again and again, you can see the size of the photos and that all are properly uploaded by a known author without violating rights of author https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backstreet_Boys --Warairarepano&Guaicaipuro (talk) 09:45, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Image uploads to Commons

[edit]

I'm letting you know here that I've nominated your Commons uploads for deletion. I think it's pretty clear that you don't own the copyright for these images so you can't place them in the public domain (which is what happens when you upload it to Commons). Best, Pichpich (talk) 00:24, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

List of Champions members moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, List of Champions members, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Diversity section

[edit]

The diversity section you added to Champions (2016 team) has been revert (at least for now). You failed to reference any reliable sources or show any real world impact (for example: is it an intentional design by the creators or has it been frequently commented on by critics). As it stood, the section appeared to be unsourced indiscriminate trivia. Remember WP:INDISCRIMINATE states "To provide encyclopedic value, data should be put in context with explanations referenced to independent sources... merely being true, or even verifiable, does not automatically make something suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia." Thank you.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:42, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A lengthy welcome

[edit]

Hi Vikenviks. Welcome to Wikipedia. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Wikipedia. I hope you find it useful.

Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Wikipedia and the neutrality required in articles.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.

If you work from reliable, independent sources, you shouldn't go far wrong. WP:RSP and WP:RSN are helpful in determining if a source is reliable.

I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 22:16, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Outlawed Vol. 1

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Outlawed Vol. 1. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Outlawed (comics). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Outlawed (comics). If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Bensci54 (talk) 16:55, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Dreams Come True Tour

[edit]

Hello, Vikenviks. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Dreams Come True Tour".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 03:03, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
