Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! The Greatest Indian
[edit]Hi. The original top 10 order for The Greatest Indian was correct per the cited source. The final order was determined by a jury vote and a popular vote, as described in the article's section on the nomination process. The order you changed it to was only the results for the popular vote and did not take the jury vote into account. Bennv3771 (talk) 13:49, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
Bare URLs
[edit]Please do not add bare URLS, we need full citations (Author (year). Title, Journal/or Publisher of a book, page no). see Wikipedia:Bare URLs for more info. Thank you JimRenge (talk) 10:47, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm CAPTAIN RAJU. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to History of Buddhism in India— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 07:20, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
- Hi @CAPTAIN RAJU:,
- This article is about Buddhist religion in "India", so "Status in India" feels unnecessary. The current status is in the status, so I had to change it. Thanking you. Vijay bramhane (talk) 07:43, 9 November 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Vijay bramhane. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Disambiguation link notification for December 11
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited B. R. Ambedkar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Master (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:33, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have recently shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

[edit]Hello, I'm JimRenge. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Eleanor Zelliot, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I have reverted your edits per WP:BURDEN, WP:OR and WP:BLP (applies to people who died recently). https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/blogs/et-commentary/eleanor-zelliot-dr-ambedkars-greatest-follower/ is a blog, not a reliable source, the article in The Hindu does not confirm the info that she was a follower of Ambedkar/Ambedkarite. The article Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Samajik Nyay Bhavan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
local government building, no reason to think that its notable
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DGG ( talk ) 11:07, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
B. R. Ambedkar
[edit]Hi, you obviously have a mission to promote B. R. Ambedkar here. I realise that he is massively significant to the Dalit community but it seems almost as if you are trying to shoehorn into Wikipedia any mention of Ambedkar that you can find. It isn't necessary and it isn't actually always useful. That is why I have just taken a hatchet to the Ambedkar biographical article itself, which is one that you have been editing extensively. If nothing else, please be aware of the information at WP:OVERCITE. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 12:04, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Most of your edits do not have an edit summary. Please provide edit summary while saving every edit on wikipedia. As edit summaries help other editors to check what exactly you edited/changed. thanks QueerEcofeminist "cite! even if you fight"!!!
