Hi

I revised my article on this test sub page prepared by OliverTwisted earlier today. Notes are on my user account my talk page. Is this revision OK to place back on the main Water Forest Press Publishing page and publish it? (Original page was a speedy delete last night as I was familiarizing myself with how to reply to Admin while my post did not conform to rules. ) If re-write is OK, please tell me how to transfer this info to main page and delete test sub page or is that for Admin to do? Can you remove the delete tags and help? Thanks Victoriasky (talk) 02:55, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken a stab at a quick clean up of your article. As an editor, I'm sure you recognize the need to keep words like "highly praised", "intimate assortment" and other such marketing verbage out of encyclopedic articles. I've used the article on Shambhala Publications as a template. The one major obstacle remaining, is that there are no independent sources to assert the notability of the press. If you donated proceeds to a local fire house, you might have recieved local media coverage. Even a local newspaper can be referenced. Reviews of any of the books published which appear in reputable, third party publications WP:RS can be used, either online or in print. You may want to search on Wikipedia for other publishers/presses you are familiar with, to get an idea about what kinds of references you may be able to use.
This version "looks better" to editors doing new page patrol, and might slip by a cursory examination. Without references, and in-line citations, it is likely to be challenged again at some point. I will leave it to you to provide these sources, and attempt recreation when you are ready. You can simply copy the entire text, and paste it in the new page you are creating, to preserve templates and wiki links. You can than edit the article as necessary. You might want to keep the temp user page you used for testing (as a backup), in case the article is deleted again. Best regards, and let me know if I can be of more help. --OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 05:20, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi OliverTwisted. I think the article looks great and professional. I added a link to the newspaper article re: Tribute issue. I have another news article on my pc from another paper, but I have to find it and I'll add that too. I'll try recreating the original page soon, but can I do this with the delete tags on it? Also - where do I leave kudos for you - you've been very kind and patient and I would like to leave comments about how much you've helped walk me thru the process. I've seen thank you badges on other Admin pages while perusing this site. Thanks again!! Victoriasky (talk) 20:37, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There currently are no delete tags on the page, as it was created in your userspace. When you recreate the page, it should not have any deletion tags on it. The page will have to go through the New Page Patrol process again. With the sources you are adding, it shouldn't be a problem. If you drop me a message on my talk page User_talk:OliverTwisted when you recreate the article, I will try to keep my eye on it for the first few days. You can also add any comments you feel appropriate on my talk page. Best regards for the new year. --OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 22:06, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
