Speedy deletion nomination of Govind Kumar Singh
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Govind Kumar Singh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sitush (talk) 17:14, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Govind Kumar Singh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Speedy deletion nomination of Let's Design
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Let's Design, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of Let's Design and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bagheera (talk) 19:31, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Article recreation
[edit]Please do not continue to recreate promotional articles. In addition to the promotional tone of Let's Design, you also introduced copyright violating material. You cannot copy material from another website to Wikipedia, doing so will result in the article being immediately deleted and a possible block of your account. I understand that it may be frustrating to see your articles deleted, but they must be compliant with Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I suggest you create the article in your userspace (such as User:Vermapriya1986/Let's Design), and when it is complete you can request a review prior to moving it to article space. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:14, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Govind Kumar singh1.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Govind Kumar singh1.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:06, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Designer Govind Kumar Singh.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Designer Govind Kumar Singh.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 20:21, 12 March 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. [edit]Hello! This article is very informative; I saw all the hard work you'd done here, and did what I could to help. The word 'excremental' was used about fabrics; it seemed out of place, so I "hid" it. Please consult an English language dictionary and confirm that it is the intended word, then unhide it or replace it. I have changed a lot of things around in order to flow in English, to be as clear as I could understand, and to match Wikipedia style guidelines. I do not know about image/photo issues, but please look over what I've done and I'll answer any questions I can. Smile :D Dru of Id (talk) 10:05, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

- One main thing I can see at a glance is that the referencing needs improvement. There is a very good page on how to create footnotes in Wikipedia: Help:Footnotes. Additionally, when making a list, you just use the

[edit]Hello Vermapriya1986. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Govind Kumar Singh, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Your involvement with this article, plus the picture which you claim is your own, suggests a possible conflict of interest. File permission problem with File:Designer Govind Kumar Singh.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Designer Govind Kumar Singh.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 19:30, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

- This is a content dispute, you must discuss it on the article talk page and try to reach WP:Consensus with the other editor. If you cannot, use WP:Dispute resolution. Please read WP:Ownership of articles: you should not think of it as your article, once you have posted it, it becomes Wikipedia's article. JohnCD (talk) 16:11, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Govind Kumar Singh. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Please do not continue - see the article talk page. You are liable to be blocked if you pursue your current methods. Sitush (talk) 16:17, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

- Hi, can we start over? The question you are asking above is one you have already had an answer to, yet you still have not responded on the article talk page & have merely demanded on mine that I stop editing the thing. If you look at the top of this page you will see a "Welcome" box. It has a lot of useful information in it - I put it there for you some time ago. Your article is not going to disappear if you spend a day or whatever reading some of the things mentioned in it. for that matter, even if it did disappear, it would all still be retrievable. Important advice - please read this carefully
[edit]Please calm down and take a little time to read what I have written here, and the links from it. When you join an organization, for instance when you become a new member of a school or a club, it is sensible to spend some time finding out how people do things, and, at least to start with, do things the same way. For instance, several people have asked you to sign your messages on talk pages by ending them with four "tilde" characters ~~~~, because it makes it easier for people reading your message if they know who wrote it and when. You still are often not doing that, and it gives the impression that you think the rules and customs that everyone else observes somehow don't apply to you.
The first thing to make clear is that Wikipedia is a collaborative project. If you look at any article that has been here for some time you will see that many users have contributed - for instance, see the history of this one, which I got by clicking "Random article". It is an important principle that once you put something into Wikipedia, it does not belong to you any more, but to Wikipedia, and other people are allowed to edit it. Below every edit screen it says "If you do not want your writing to be edited, used, and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." Read WP:Ownership of articles, and try to stop thinking of it as "your" article.
The way Wikipedia works is described at WP:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. If you think a change would improve the encyclopedia, be BOLD and make it. If someone else then REVERTs it, do not make it again, DISCUSS it with them on the talk page, and try to reach agreement, or WP:Consensus. If you cannot agree, there are WP:Dispute resolution processes you should use.
The reason you should not simply make your change again is that it leads to WP:Edit warring, which is not allowed, because it means that articles end up in the shape preferred by the most obstinate edit-warrior. To make clear that edit warring is not allowed, there is a WP:Three revert rule, and if you break that you will be blocked, even if you were sure you were right, even if you were right. No excuses.
Please read all those links carefully and think about them.
As regards images, see WP:Image use policy and WP:Uploading images. I'm sorry it is complicated, but it is very important for Wikipedia to be sure that there is permission to use the image according to its license (which includes permission to readers to copy it from Wikipedia and alter it and use it for any purpose including commercial). It is complicated because the copyright laws and fair use rules are complicated.

Please take notice
[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at File:Designer Govind Kumar Singh.jpg, you may be blocked from editing. So far this month you have as a minimum breached the WP:BRD guideline, WP:Civil, WP:Copyright, removed valid maintenance templates ... and some of these issues more than once. Sorry, but you have been warned in several places about these issues & perhaps more. All these issues have also been explained to you, hence this Level 3 warning here. [edit]I have reverted your removal of the CSD template on File:Designer_Govind_Kumar_Singh.jpg. Changing the licence to the Free Art Licence does not address the issues raised in the notice. This image has been used on a website which claims copyright and you must follow the instructions in the speedy deletion notice in order to free Wikipedia of any legal liability. If this is not done by 28 March then the file may be deleted. - Sitush (talk) 08:30, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
About a sockpuppetry allegation you made
[edit]Greetings! Could I ask you to explain this edit you made to User talk:Sitush? There is no sockpuppet investigation active at WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Sitush. Was he mentioned at another investigation, or was your edit a byproduct of the ongoing dispute you two have over the Govind Kumar Singh article? —C.Fred (talk) 17:01, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- And again - here. - Sitush (talk) 17:24, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Citations
[edit]When citations are used in an article they should adopt a common format - see WP:CITE. You keep inserting citations using different formats to those which already exist and, which is worse, the format you have chosen is deprecated because it is liable to link rot. Please can you use the format already in place rather than create work for others? If you are unsure how to do this then there are links to the relevant ones used in Let's Design and Govind Kumar Singh on my user page. I don't mind helping you out with this but you really should try to read through it yourself. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 19:32, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
This is your last warning; the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Let's Design, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Sitush (talk) 20:23, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
The final warning above
[edit]The final warning above is in fact for, yet again, removing a maintenance tag & not using the edit summary. The removal was invalid as the issue was not fixed on the article. The edit summary situation is becoming ridiculous. I'm not sure that either of these are vandalism in the strict sense, but they are certainly disruptive and contrary to policy. - Sitush (talk) 20:25, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Socking
[edit]Pick an account and stick with it. If you continue to use multiple accounts in order to give the appearance of consensus, I will block both accounts. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:46, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
The article Top upcoming designer 2011 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This article exists, along with others such as Let's Design and Texture King, as part of what seems to be a spam campaign to promote Govind Kumar Singh, a fashion designer. The sources used, here and elsewhere, are effectively press releases issued by the organisers, which is insufficient for WP:GNG. If the article should exist at all then it should be without the "2011" and should cover previous and future winners.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sitush (talk) 23:07, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Response
[edit]The article on Mr. Singh had been vandalized; I went there to undo it, and someone else already had. I saw that it might get deleted, and did what I could to help, there and the other articles you had worked on. I offered further assistance here, which was not responded to. I checked back on the articles, and continued to try to help. I deleted things that were there more than once, moved links to their first use, and organized things as suggested in WP:MOS. The 'idiosyncratic' way most users sign their name is --~~~~ (using a button above the edit box), actually typing ~~~~, or the Sign your posts on talk pages: ~~~~ button below the edit summary box (which you should also start using). I will continue to check on those articles, but I do not expect to edit them for the forseeable future. I have learned a lot from this. Dru of Id (talk) 15:26, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Govindsingh.JPG, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sitush (talk) 12:14, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
Arbitration enforcement action appeal by {{{Appealing user}}}
[edit]Procedural notes: The rules governing arbitration enforcement appeals are found here. According to the procedures, a "clear and substantial consensus of uninvolved administrators" is required to overturn an arbitration enforcement action.
To help determine any such consensus, involved editors may make brief statements in separate sections but should not edit the section for discussion among uninvolved editors. Editors are normally considered involved if they are in a current dispute with the sanctioning or sanctioned editor, or have taken part in disputes (if any) related to the contested enforcement action. Administrators having taken administrative actions are not normally considered involved for this reason alone (see WP:UNINVOLVED).
- Appealing user
- Example (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) – ~~~~
- Sanction being appealed
- {{{Sanction being appealed}}}
- Administrator imposing the sanction
- Example (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA)
- Notification of that administrator
- The appealing editor is asked to notify the administrator who made the enforcement action of this appeal, and then to replace this text with a diff of that notification. The appeal may not be processed otherwise. If a block is appealed, the editor moving the appeal to this board should make the notification.

Administrators may remove or shorten noncompliant statements. Disruptive contributions may result in blocks.

Decline reason:
The block of this account relates to the use of this account, not of an IP address. If you cannot maintain security over your account—not the shared IP address, but this account—then it must remain blocked to prevent abuse. —C.Fred (talk) 14:24, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
