Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to The Secret Life of Pets. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. A Google Book search for "(name of film) (word)" returning a result is not a reliable source for confirming that a particular character has that word as their name. Your large plot additions removed

[edit]

Please read WP:FILMPLOT which limits the plot section to 700 words. I use this online word counter tool to help me keep track. You might want to consider using such a tool yourself. Binksternet (talk) 15:47, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Binksternet: Your edit has been reverted. Your edit makes the plot explain almost nothing, and as such has been reverted. While the plot may be pretty long, there's no need to shorten it down to literally 79 words. - Kamran Mackey (talk to me · my contributions) 17:24, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to keep a plot that is sufficiently long, write one yourself or pare the old one down. There is no reason for the Beauty and the Beast article to violate the longstanding guideline. Binksternet (talk) 17:48, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Binksternet: You can do that yourself, can you not? Without shortening the plot down to literally 79 words by the way, which is not sufficient enough for a plot section, as it explains very little about the film. - Kamran Mackey (talk to me · my contributions) 18:00, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
So you think it's fine for Vance256 to keep making too-large plot additions? Because your actions are telling him so. The guideline represents consensus, and has since you were six years old. Vance256 is creating problems with his additions, and he should start using a word count tool as I have recommended. Binksternet (talk) 19:49, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Binksternet: No, I do not think it's fine for Vance256 to continue making too-large additions to plots. I of course want everyone to stick to Manual of Style guidelines (and related guidelines) as much as humanly possible. My argument was just that a single 79 word paragraph in the Plot section isn't really enough to fully explain the main Beauty and the Beast story in detail. That's all. Wasn't approving of Vance's actions. Just want plots to be as detailed as possible while trying to stay in the range of the 700 word maximum. :) - Kamran Mackey (talk to me · my contributions) 20:39, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the The Croods: A New Age article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement: "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike".

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the Help Desk. You can also leave a message on my talk page. - SummerPhDv2.0 17:22, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Koati (film) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Koati (film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Brian Hull requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brian Hull. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 03:47, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Koati (film)

Hello, Vance256. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Koati".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Please use edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits.
