I wanted that for 1 January, but then wasn't sad about having our music pictured instead. Not too late for resolutions, New Year or not. DYK that he probably kept me on Wikipedia, back in 2012? "Historic houses" encompasses places of residence ranging from historic houses in the United States to the Palace of Versailles. Residences-turned-museums are also historic houses. –♠Vami_IV†♠ 06:38, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

Maybe but in the Indonesian contexts there is no consistent correlation with that - some palaces are sprawling complexes and in no way anything that resembles a 'house' in the american or european context in any way JarrahTree 06:40, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

some editors love adding the project tag cities to places of maybe 3 people towns as well, because similar telescoping scope statements are made there - the problem is the old one size fits all notion of some project scope claims - really does not allow for some very different way of looking at things. I personally would never add american based project tags in Asian contexts, too much is lost in he translation - and serious misunderstandings can be and are created. I will not revert your edits, but do I not trust such a tag on the basis of my fieldwork in Asia completely dissallows my even thinking of such a project tag as relevant or apt... cheers JarrahTree 06:44, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

OK I have reverted some Indonesian items, as I object to the tag on places that I have had things to do with, and I would also consider the Indian palaces you have tagged as inapropriate as well, but have not touched. Maybe some of the european items are open to question as well, but as I say above - the 'one size fits all' project scopes are probably too inclusive in the sense that some structures or complexes simply are something other than historic houses. The problem is the exceptions to the rule also make the issue very messy - there are indeed many museums everywhere that may well have been houses in the simplest interpretation - and in a sense you are on the right track with them. I have a problem with blanket tagging - the variations in contexts simply cannot be adequately situated under one project tag where the exceptions might provide a challenge to the official scope, it really is not easy to resolve. Thanks and quick military question

Hi Vami IV:

First, thanks for your response about editing E.J. Levy's author's page. I'll answer you there because I have lots of questions still. Thanks in advamce.

Second, I was interested to see your expertise in military matters on Wikipedia. Because of my occupation friends often ask for my help with something they're writing. I'm in the middle of helping a friend write a piece about a Scottish castle, its battlements, and the arrangement of signal beacons on a raised berm within distant eyesight of the castle. He thinks that those beacon and the land mass they are on may be the source of his clan motto. All this would have been before 1000 CE. Is there a specialized way to use Wikipedia to help with such questions of battlement archaeology?

Interesting topic. One use I can presently think of is using an article, if its barren enough (think Stub or Start classes, or even C-class if its missing a lot of text and/or citations, just basic/short articles) as your research notes. You can very easily find yourself with questions that need answering or gray areas to be filled in. An example in my own work would be my recent expansions on Fort Concho. Note the maintenance tags like Template:When?. There are a few tags like that you can use as notes. There is wikicode syntax to make "hidden" messages that will only appear in the source editor, written like so: <!-- Message -->. Now, there's also user sandboxes (about page), which is how WikiEdu teaches college students about editing. It's great for practice. Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral, Cork, Ireland

Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral is a Gothic Revival three-spire cathedral in the city of Cork, Ireland. It belongs to the Church of Ireland and was completed in 1879. The cathedral is located on the south side of the River Lee, on ground that has been a place of worship since the 7th century, and is dedicated to Finbarr of Cork, patron saint of the city. It was once in the Diocese of Cork; it is now one of the three cathedrals in the Church of Ireland Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross, in the ecclesiastical province of Dublin. Christian use of the site dates back to a 7th-century AD monastery, which according to legend was founded by Finbarr of Cork. Eric and Leslie Ludy were 21 and 16 respectively when they first met, English professors suggest that older singles are unlikely to gather hope from their story.

When God Writes Your Love Story: The Ultimate Approach to Guy/Girl Relationships is a 1999 book by Eric and Leslie Ludy, an American married couple. After becoming a bestseller on the Christian book market, the book was republished in 2004 and then revised and expanded in 2009. It tells the story of the authors' first meeting, courtship, and marriage. The authors advise single people not to be physically or emotionally intimate with others, but to wait for the spouse that God has planned for them.

The book is divided into five sections and sixteen chapters. Each chapter is written from the perspective of one of the two authors; nine are by Eric, while Leslie wrote seven, as well as the introduction. The Ludys argue that one's love life should be both guided by and subordinate to one's relationship with God. Hello. This is spam, forgive me. I'm gonna go through various GAR pages and look for people who appear active. All I'm asking for is a review, not asking for any specific outcome (i.e., not begging for a KEEP). The GAR is Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Bengal famine of 1943/1. If you review and Delist, that's OK, so long as it gets a meaningful review...

The article is big, detailed and has a terrible history in various Content Review forums. In fact, it has been residing in Content Review Hell for a couple years now... In return for a review (not a specific outcome) I'll do any kinda gnomish or research work you wish. Forex, I love converting inconsistent referencing into {{{sfn}}}, regardless of article size. I also help with all the errors that show up as described User:Lingzhi2/reviewsourcecheck. And so on. Thank you for reading this; forgive the intrusion. Your input is both valued and appreciated... I might not jump quickly to make any changes you suggest, because I don't want to be constantly injecting myself into the process. [I've already made one regrettably long post to the GAR page.. It addresses prose size, which I think is an issue of top-level importance in the context of content review]. As time goes on though, the article will be informed by your input... And as I said, call on me if you ever need someone to do yeoman work of various kinds. Ucucha's script, mine

Hello. This is off-topic from the GAR. [Just FYI on the GAR, as I mentioned earlier, I wanna address your suggestions slowly, one by one, in a nice leisurely walk rather than a furious tattoo of edits. So I am definitely not ignoring you].... But back to Ucucha, have you seen my closely-related script at User:Lingzhi2/reviewsourcecheck. It also recommends a few other scripts... I have no idea of what Ucuchua's script does beyond display sfnref errors, never bothered to brush up on the details – I'm the kind of guy to just pick up a tool and hammering away rather than examine it. • It didn't have a citation parameter; if it did, I would certainly have left it alone. The affected link is also under "External links", which would be a funny place to have a reference. • I have never really done anything for WIR, but I have a nice article or two or three that I intend to work on someday soonishly. Actually my next project (after the potential torture of a FAC for BF43) is the totally unrelated Black Monday (1987). But after that I might be making my way toward either Camille Paglia (which unfortunately seems to have acquired an WP:OWNer) or (far more likely, since I have grown weary of Wikipedia arguments) Grace Lee Boggs.
