Non-free image use
[edit]Please stop removing the WP:F5 speedy deletion tag from File:Music group.jpg. The file is an orphaned non-free file which means that it does not satisfy Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. As long as the file is not being used in any articles, it will keep getting re-tagged for deletion per WP:F5 by either a human reviewer or a WP:BOT. Files which are deleted are not gone forever; they are only hidden from public view. So, if the draft you're working on is accepted, the file can be "undeleted" per WP:REFUND. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:16, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
- When you’re a new editor, you not going to be expected to be familiar with Wikipedia’s various policies and guidelines. If you make mistakes, more experienced editors are going to be willing to WP:AGF and try and explain what you did wrong. Using non-free content on Wikipedia is tricky so mistakes in using them are quite common; however, continuing to repeat the same mistake again and again even after being advised otherwise is not a wise thing to do. Non-free files are required to be used in at least one article per WP:NFCC#7 and those which aren’t will be tagged for deletion as an “orphaned non-free file” per WP:F5. Continuing to remove the deletion template will not stop the file from being deleted as long as it remains an orphan; such a thing will, however, eventually be seen as disruptive and will likely lead to administrator taking steps to prevent any further disruption. If the file is deleted before the draft you’re working on is approved, then don’t panic; the file is not gone forever and can be restored after the draft has been approved. In the meantime, however, Wikipedia policy doesn’t allow orphaned non-free files to be stored for more than five days; if the file is not used in any articles by then, an administrator is going to delete it. — Marchjuly (talk) 09:10, 22 August 2018 (UTC)

Image deletion
[edit]I have deleted the file File:Music group.jpg. Copyrighted images of living persons are almost invariably not acceptable under a claim of Fair Use, since it is possible - at least in theory - to photograph the subject and release the photograph under a free licence. Since the page in your sandbox is not an article (and is unlikely to become one without considerable improvement), a claim of Fair Use is invalid in any case. Please do not add copyrighted content to Wikipedia again. Yunshui 雲水 09:04, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
Your draft article, User:Vacaburra2/sandbox
[edit]Hello, Vacaburra2. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "sandbox".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 00:30, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
