[edit]Hello, I'm Robvanvee. An edit that you recently made to Korn seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want to practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Robvanvee 19:02, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, VHMGMT2019. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. — MusikAnimal talk 00:35, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
Korn
[edit]Hello! First and foremost, the images you are uploading appear to be copyright violations. You must provide evidence that you are the copyright holder, and that the imagery is freely licensed. See your talk page on Commons for more on that.
Secondly, please refrain from using peacock terms such as "award-winning", etc., from the lead sentence. This is in conformity with our manual of style. The first sentence for a band should be something like Band is an American [genre] band from [location]
. Further down in the article, even in the lead, we describe the awards they won, and so forth.
Finally, the edit summary for this edit, and your username, suggests you may be affiliated with Korn, Jonathan Davis and/or Deftones. Please see the above section; you should avoid writing about subjects you manage because you have a conflict of interest. If you are being paid to edit, you must disclose your affiliation. Thank you for your cooperation, and let me know if you need help. — MusikAnimal talk 00:51, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
January 2022
[edit]Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Korn, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Magatta (talk) 20:09, 7 January 2022 (UTC)
Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Korn, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Magatta (talk) 23:53, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at System of a Down, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. -- ferret (talk) 23:31, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. -- ferret (talk) 23:32, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
