Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]I don't know what you're trying to do with these edits, but don't do it anymore. Are you earnestly attempting improvements by making years bold? Please spend more time reading other articles to see what they should look like and review our Manual of Style. If it looks like you are not trying to make a positive contribution to the encyclopedia, your account will be blocked. JesseRafe (talk) 19:18, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Abdelrahman ElGendy, 27, in October at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree. He spent six years and three months in an Egyptian jail.webp
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Abdelrahman ElGendy, 27, in October at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree. He spent six years and three months in an Egyptian jail.webp. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:09, 18 March 2023 (UTC)
Blocked as a sockpuppet
[edit]Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
{{unblock | Dear Wikipedia administrators, I am writing to request an unblock for my account, which was blocked indefinitely as a suspected sockpuppet of Salem Imam. I would like to emphasize that I am not a sockpuppet of Salem Imam or anyone else, and that I only have another account which I addressed earlier. And you will find it is the same account using same internet provider within the same location. I understand that sockpuppetry is a serious violation of Wikipedia's policies, and I assure you that I have never engaged in such behavior. I respectfully request that you review the evidence provided in the sockpuppet investigation and carefully consider whether it justifies the indefinite block of my account. If there is any doubt about my identity, I am happy to provide any information or verification that may be helpful in resolving this matter. Thank you for your attention to this request. I look forward to a prompt resolution of this issue. Sincerely, User0name22 (talk) 20:20, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

Looking at the SPI, I don't see any reason to revisit it. Sorry. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:47, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
