I saw you created Category:PalmOS-based PDAs, so I helped populate it for you. - A Man In Black (conspire | past ops) 22:32, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
- What's the difference between that and Category:Palm_OS_devices? Should we mark the former for deletion? By the way, now that there is going to be a Windows Mobile version of the Treo, I've reverted its category back to the more generalized Category:PDAs (the 600 and 650 can remian under Palm_OS_devices).
- No difference, I just renamed the category. Yes, PalmOS-based PDAs should be marked for deletion. Imho, Treo should still be under Palm OS devices, even if it can run another OS also. Maybe a new category Windows CE devices should be created, and Treo should be listed under both.

RealPlayer
[edit]I see that you hate RealPlayer, but please do not edit the article by giving some links to spam blogs. If you want to discuss how "RealPlayer is bloated" or other such things, please go to BetaNews or to the unofficial blogs. And before you write something please try the newest version of the player. the links you gave are really outdated. (This was written, but not signed, by User:Flash kz on Sep 3, 13:45 --Urod 03:15, 4 September 2006 (UTC))
- These are not spam blogs. I suspect you work for RealPlayer, thats why you and your friends delete any negative information about it. I am not the only one who hates RealPlayer. --Urod 03:12, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Use Geocities stop giving outdated links here! This is NO blog, I hope you will be blocked from editing only this article. Why don't you put something there like Norton Antivirus catches RealPlayer as W32.Spybot.Worm??? Or even better - it will crash your macintosh computer if you install it on your windows with some kinda superpowers? I don't know about the player but this what you make is called by the stupid people like me vandalism. And as about me, I hate winamp, but have you seen me to edit the article and to talk about the multiple winamp system issues which are already fixed? Have a nice day and STOP editing the relplayer article! Flash
- As for blocking for editing, I noticed on your talk page that you were blocked for 24, then 48, hours, for copyright violations. I never had been blocked. You may call vandalism whatever you want, but the definition of vandalism in wikipedia is here: Wikipedia:Vandalism. --Urod 08:45, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
AMA Request
[edit]Brief: Flash kz (talk) erases any negative information about RealPlayer. In particular,
- He or she erases the sentence "In 2006, PCWorld named it the second worst tech product of all time [1].", claiming that it is NPOV violation.
- He or she erases critical links about it, calling them "links to spam blogs".
- He or she erases links to RealAlternative, claiming that "RealAlternative is illegal"
Here is the example of his or her edit: [2] I suspect that Flash kz works for Real, inc. Please help. --Urod 03:13, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- PCWorld link is not erased it's erased from the top.
- Alright, Real Alternative might be placed, because it's related with RealPlayer
- All other things will be erased because these blogs are not official, there are only users like you that spread lies.
- The security issues links are outdated and invalid, this for realsched is even absurd -90% CPU ?!?

AMA
[edit]Hi Urod, I've taken your case. I'm looking over the related pages/histories now. --\/\/slack (talk) 15:08, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, I can say that your case is strong. However, I'll ask you to WP:FAITH that Flash only wants to improve Wikipedia. This will make you appear to be more mature as we figure out what to do. Sometime today, I will post a series of thoughts with supporting detail on RealPlayer's talk page. One of the things I will propose is a reviews section, if that sounds ok to you. I think that will go a long way in helping out both sides. The PCWorld and reviews (if notable) will go here. Thoughts? Post on my talk page. --\/\/slack (talk) 15:32, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, some thoughts are on my desk. Please make sure you are ok with these (as I am advocating for you) before I post them to the talk page. I hope I've done well with your wishes. Regards, \/\/slack (talk) 16:47, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Parts of RP that have drawn negative responces would go under critisisms. Reviews would have both positive and negative. So three sections. \/\/slack (talk) 02:22, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Drugs of abuse
[edit]hi urod. i'm really curious as to where this category came from . . . It seems inherently POV and difficult to deliniate. something like hydrocodone is clearly not only a drug of abuse, and seems to deserve to be in a "drugs" category rather than only "drugs of abuse"; something like ayahuasca, a psychedelic and therefore under the umbrella of the drugs of abuse category, has been used as a religious sacrament and medicinally for thousands of years. yes, "drugs" has two different meanings, but that doesn't make all psychoactive drugs drugs of abuse.
also, for many of the pages you've made these changes to, the category shouldn't be there in the first place; drugs is a fairly overarching category, with many subcats, which makes the use of this category for any individual drugs entirely unnecessary.
anyways. We need to get a discussion about this going some place--or, if i've missed one, i'd love to be pointed to it.
cheers--heah 07:49, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- The term itself "Drugs of abuse" is POV, and breaks the Wikipedia NPOV policy. While the DEA may be able to get away with labeling certain drugs as "drugs of abuse", this is political and is unacceptable here. --Thoric 15:47, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Look, being bold is great and all, but this place thrives on discussion. without it we just end up in revert wars. it's really best to talk about stuff BEFORE you do it, and that way everyone can share their thoughts and a proper compromise can be reached. the categorization scheme exists the way it does for a reason, after discussions that led to the current scheme. if you have problems with it, the best thing to do is to discuss it rather than go ahead and make such far-reaching changes unilaterally. such unilateral actions can be counter-productive as everyone has to run around reverting each other rather than editing, and it gets people pissed off at each other and fed up with each other, which is entirely unnecessary and easily avoidable. --heah 18:03, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
There was lots of discussion but no action for a long time. I took an action. You may, if you want, rename "drugs of abuse" to something else. --Urod 23:32, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Help:table summaries
[edit]Hi Urod,
Thanks for the fixes to help:table. In the future, would you please fill in the summary so it's easier to review your changes?
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. — EncMstr 22:58, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
