[edit]Hello, I'm Ae245. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2024 targeted assassination of Muhammad Deif, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Ae245 (talk) 10:27, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

[edit]Are you uricohn? 2A06:C701:44C0:DC00:19C5:C2B2:3819:EC5D (talk) 12:05, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- My username is indeed Uricoh, and if you were intelligent enough to read English you wouldn't have asked and wouldn't have supported Hamas. Uricoh (talk) 12:18, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- I mean this must be you. https://www.instagram.com/uricohn?igsh=MWo3YnE1a2xxcXIwNQ== 2A06:C701:44C0:DC00:19C5:C2B2:3819:EC5D (talk) 12:24, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- No, it is not me. Common name in Israel. I don't have an Instagram account, not that it's any of your business. Uricoh (talk) 12:27, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia doesn’t welcome Israelis or Jews. You should leave, if not we’ll have to ban you. Sharmoota 2A06:C701:44C0:DC00:19C5:C2B2:3819:EC5D (talk) 12:32, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

ARBECR
[edit]Per WP:ARBECR, you are restricted to the filing of straightforward edit requests in the AI topic area. If you persist in violating the restrictions, you invite a block. Selfstudier (talk) 09:44, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish: Think some reinforcement necessary here. Selfstudier (talk) 09:49, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- For instance Also not a minor edit. Selfstudier (talk) 09:51, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- Judge the contribution, not the contributor. I reserve the right to edit any non-protected article. If you want me to stop editing, place a page protection. Uricoh (talk) 10:11, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- Also, according to your user page one could infer that you support Palestine/Hamas, which places you in a big conflict of interest, which you haven't disclosed, so stop editing the conflict area as well, or "invite a block". Uricoh (talk) 10:16, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Doug Weller: Do I need to take this to AE? No intent to comply with restrictions, aspersions, etcetera. Selfstudier (talk) 10:45, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- Casting aspersions refers to a situation where an editor accuses another editor or a group of editors of misbehavior without evidence. I do have evidence. On your user page you write what's "wrong" with the US position on Kosovo and WB/Gaza. Why are you harassing me? I'm here to contribute, look at my non-controversial contributions as well! I saw that you obsessively went through virtually all my edits from today and reverted them. Judge the contribution, not the contributor. Uricoh (talk) 10:53, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement topic ban
[edit]The following topic ban now applies to you:
You are indefinitely topic banned from the Arab/Israel conflict, broadly construed.
You have been sanctioned for battleground editing, NPOV violations, ECR violations, WP:IDHT, WP:NOTAFORUM violations, WP:RGW
This topic ban is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Index/Palestine-Israel articles#Final decision and, if applicable, the contentious topics procedure. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. Please read WP:TBAN to understand what a topic ban is. If you do not comply with the topic ban, you may be blocked for an extended period to enforce the ban.
If you wish to appeal the ban, please read the appeals process. You are free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:49, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- Any further edits related to the Arab/Israel conflict, including edit requests on talk pages will result in further sanctions. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:56, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
